Zinli Steelworker
So total roll is 13+2-4=11?
No, it's 13+6-4 ^^
"Another one?!"
Zinli put her gun down, and grabbed her falchion:
"Back off!!"
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Unfortunately, she was better with her gun.
DM Lil" Eschie
@Warren/Voyla: cutting the web would be easier than trying to rip them with pure strenght.Or Voyla can try some Escape Artist roll
@Zinli: with this roll, you hit the spider, and do barely enough damage to put it to 0 HP
Zinli miss the creature with her small but sharp weapon.
Finally, the wounds on the first spider were maybe deeper than expected, as the creature falls on the floor, its multiple legs twitching feebly in the mists
Init Roll
Spider 25 done
Voyla 21 done
Zinli 16 done
Warren 15 done
Rahiv 12 now!
Dav 12
Joza 6
Voyla Sloboda
Let's see if it works.
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
I guess it doesn't :(
Davlamin Glimmergaunt
Dav unleashed a day of frost on the spider that just appeared.
Ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Ray of frost: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Joza Fersig
Round 2
Not trusting her ability to squeeze past Voyla and the spider without putting herself at great risk, Joza instead falls back a step and attempts to fire another arrow at this new spider...
Attack (Longbow; PB Shot, Into Melee): 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 3
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
And once again nearly hits Voyla in the back as she stumbles and her arrow flies horribly off-target!
Davlamin Glimmergaunt
Could have sworn I posted my action.
Dav fired a ray of frost at the spider.
Ray of Frost: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Ray of Frost damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Joza Fersig
Actually, I think you did...though I like your second roll better so I vote to keep that one if I get a vote >.>
DM Lil" Eschie
I haven't seen Dav first action. Bad Gm! This one is better, so I keepit, but this is exceptionnal.^^
A small ray of frost, send by Davlamin, hits the spider, who doesn't seem very happy about that-as far as you can tell.
Now its chomping time!
Bite on 1 Zinli 2 Voyla: 1d2 ⇒ 2
bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
once again, Voyla is treated as a tasty treat by the arachnid. Venom is already rampaging her body...
Voyla needs a save DC 15 or be poisoned
Voyla Sloboda
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Oh Oh
DM Lil" Eschie
Voyla STR dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 2
@Voyla: you will need a Fort 15 save for the next 4 rounds. If you manage to save once, you stop losing strength
Init Roll
Spider 25 done
Voyla 21 Now!
Zinli 16
Warren 15
Rahiv 12
Dav 12
Joza 6
Voyla feels her muscles burning with the venom, and it seems hard to summon enough strenght to attack now
Zinli Steelworker
Poor Voyla, animals seem to love her!
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Voyla Sloboda
Is Voyla free of the webbing?
Voyla Sloboda
Voyla takes a dagger out and removes the webbing from herself.
Damage (-1 poison): 1d4 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 - 1 = 1
Figures
"I am sick!"
Joza Fersig
Round 3
"Die, you ugly beast!" Joza cries as she sends another arrow whizzing towards the spider.
Attack (Longbow; PB Shot, Into Melee): 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Technically a little out of turn order but wanted to get it posted now since I'll be asleep during the day today.
Davlamin Glimmergaunt
Dav gritted his teeth as he cast a ray of frost at the spider.
Ray of Frost ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Ray of Frost damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
DM Lil" Eschie
Dav's ray of frost misses by inches only, but Joza's arrow hits her target.
Frenzied by the bloodloss, the spider strikes again, trying to bite Viyla once more, but now that Warren has freed her from the webs, the nimble girl dodges easily the attack.
Target 1 Zinli 2 Voyla: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Init Roll
Spider 25 done
Voyla 21
Zinli 16
Warren 15
Rahiv 12
Dav 12
Joza 6
Voyla Sloboda
Voyla retreats to let the others attack the spider, after which she takes her bow out.
Zinli Steelworker
Zinli, your to hit bonus is too low: (+2 Gunsliger, +1 small size, +1 Msw Falchion
Thanks! I corrected that!
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Zinli tried to slash the spider again, but she seemed to have trouble with her two-handed weapon.
Voyla Sloboda
Voyla shows him.
"I feel weak."
Joza Fersig
Round 4
"These creatures are harder than they look," Joza growls as she continues trying to pepper the spider with arrows.
Attack (Longbow; PB Shot, Into Melee): 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 - 4 = 2
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
DM Lil" Eschie
@Voyla: don't forget to roll a Fort save against the poison this round, DC 15, or suffer Str dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 3
@Joza: you should be glad I don't use Critical failure..^^
friendly fire?(FF): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16Target 1 Zinli 2 Warren: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Rahiv sees that Voyla's wound is bad, the flesh being tinted with grey as the poison attacks her from inside.
Warren nearly takes an arrow to the knee, which would have ended his adventuring career. Unfortunatly for him, the spider striked at this precise moment, biting him with ferocity
spider bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Warren: DC 15 Fort save or lose poison: 1d3 ⇒ 2 STR
Voyla Sloboda
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
"I think I am going to faint!"
Davlamin Glimmergaunt
Cursing under his breath, Dav unleashes a magical missile at the spider, yelling, "Back you foul creature! Back I say! Back away from my friends or you will face the wrath of Davlamin Glimmergaunt, scion of bronze dragons!"
Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
DM Lil" Eschie
Davlamin spell is enough to kill the creature.. or maybe it was the fear of facing such a powerful foe?
Whatever the mean, the arachnid is no more a direct threat. If Warren's body show no ill from the poison, Voyla seems to be more affected.
Need some healing, with an healing kit, DC 15 to stop the poison, or another Fort save from you, Voyla
Voyla Sloboda
Fortitude Saves, if no healing available.
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
She do faints...
Rahiv
I swear I had bought one O.o...it's in my hero lab, but I don't know if I ever updated it on here. If you allow it I will use it, if not I understand as I failed to properly update it.
Heal check: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 2 = 25
DM Lil" Eschie
I'll trust you on the buying of an heal kit. I was surprised to see you didn't take one rank in Heal.. Bad news is, even if you manage to succeed at your heal check, you give only a +4 bonus to Voyla, and so her best total is 14..one less than the DC 15
Voyla STR dmg: 3d3 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) = 8
Voyla is so feeble that she can't even move herself, with the weight of her equipment and armor...
STR 1, after a total 13 STR dmg
Rahiv
Well, I thought about it. And I may take one next level, it's a skill I typically don't use heavily and being a high wisdom character I was like...eh, I'll rely on my heavy stat. But it never hurts.
Rahiv took out his pack once the arachnid had bellied up and with the help of his cat found the healer's kit he had purchased for the odds and ends of adventuring began to take a look at the wound more carefully. He tried his best, remembering all that he had been taught in the past but it did little to slow the poison. He sighed as Voyla got weaker and weaker.
He looked up at the others "It won't kill her but it will leave her very very weak. It might be best if we head back and see what we can do about getting her taken care of. I can take care of her myself but this may take several days with only my skills"
Voyla Sloboda
And no, you can't remove her armor and clothing ;)
Joza Fersig
Maybe we should just call the adventuring thing quits and live in Fort Inevitable? We're certainly there enough, hehe.
"That might be the wisest course of action," Joza says, watching with alarm as Voyla gets weaker despite Rahiv's best efforts to care for her. "I just hope we can afford proper care..."
Davlamin Glimmergaunt
Nodding in agreement, Dav replies, "We best hurry then. No telling what may attack us. It is best we stock up further on supplies."
Voyla Sloboda
Voyla tries a smile...
