Thanks guys, I'm good. I love my scribe scroll feat and I'm happy to put my resources there.
All that was left were the wands. I was thinking a wand of CMW, which is 4,500. But Prazil mentioned that CLW is cheaper per hit point at the same cost, giving 6 wands.
Mott: are 6 wands of CLW available in the world?

For Mott, what would it take for Katerina to be able to adopt the name Aldori?
That's a good question. I'll look into it and get back to you (hopefully Sunday).
I'm thinking I'll start moving the plot along Monday, though if there's still fun stuff going on, there's no rush.

So, I can't seem to find any canon on the Swordslords. James Jacobs wrote about a year ago, "1) You have to be officially granted the title. If not, you're akin to a ronin; you have the same skills but aren't able to officially call yourself a swordlord (or samurai)," but never really says what's involved with taking the title.
I think it'd make sense to say there's some sort of test -- however, words of Kat's exploits might well fulfill the requirements. Alternatively, she could have a trial by arms (the swordlords were formed by a duelist, after all), if you'd like. I don't know how much you as a player want to devote to it.

I'd be willing to play out Kat earning her title by trial or whatever you think is good.
But, I do not want to digress too much from the party's play. I don't want to be the guy that plays the Netrunner in the Cyberpunk party that demands all the table time for his one-man odyssey...

Sorry for those of you seeing this for the umpteenth time (some of us are in a lot of games together), but since I was out of town when this came out, I don't think I ever announced my first contracted work for Paizo. Pretty excited about it. :)

Ha. I used to hate the netrunnes/riggers in Shadowrun, as it was like they were playing their own game. Never quite understood that.
That said, I think we can work it into conjunction with the rest of the game, and I don't want to just handwave it. Let's say Petyr told you you need to challenge and defeat in non-lethal combat an Aldori swordlord whom you don't already know (as that would prevent say Petyr himself from throwing a fight) to earn the title.

Just a heads up: I will be travelling for the next week. I will have internet access, but my posting will be slooooowing down a bit. Rest assured, I will be back! Mott, if you need to bot any of my characters in your games, please do so with my blessing!

Hey guys, I've got my annual CabinCon trip this weekend (Thursday - Monday), so I'll be off yon grid after tomorrow night. If Prazil is slowing things down, he'll just keep on motoring after bullywugs and frogs.
copy/pasteable macro for his greatsword attacks are at the bottom of his profile page.

Hey guys,
I've an opening in one of my games rn, a Jade Regent game for which I've had a bit of trouble keeping players down.
They're about to hit level 6, reaching the very last leg of Chapter 2. Any takers? I'll give more details if you guys are interested in joining a new game.

Hey all,
Just wanted to kind of mention that I hope we can all be patient with the current Paizo site outages (which I also hope will end ASAP). I know it's disrupting my posting flow/times and I assume it's doing the same for you all.
In addition, I'm having some workplace drama: My immediate supervisor retired effective immediately last night (i.e. he was more or less forced out) and I suspect I'm going to be picking up much -- if not all -- of his work. I have no intention of stopping any games and still hope to update 5-10 times a week (as the site allows right now) as I'm a STRONG believer that regular momentum is critical in PBP. However, just in case there is some disruption, please be patient. I promise I won't abandon you!

Nearby...
Back in the previous room, with its blade buried halfway to the hilt in a mound of churned mud, discarded Ovinrbaane waits for the kobold to heed its call.
And, oddly, words appear in the muck:
“Whoso pulleth out this sword from this swamp, is right wise King born of all Hartsland.”
(Will update ASAP; work continues to be trying.)

I was writing up a couple locations in one of my other PBPs and realized I handle Perception checks in a couple way, so want to make sure it's understood how I'm doing it in all my campaigns (I know its late to make sure this is clear, but better than never, I guess):
Perception checks that I consider more passive, I'll do under spoilers, i.e. if someone walks into a room and has a chance to notice something broken (or a hidden body/critter), I'll do that under a spoiler and you can see if you succeed.
I don't tend to do that if a module says "if a PC searches the rubble/body/whatever, he notices XX on a Perception check..." I only give you those checks (sometimes under spoilers, sometimes I'll roll myself, sometimes I'll ask you to do it) if you guys specifically tell me you're searching that area. I just want to make sure you all know that so if I don't give you a spoilered section you don't think there's nothing there to be found.
Let me know if that doesn't make sense/you have any questions.
