It seems like Dmitri is the most effective choice for the diversion, so he's walking directly towards the Battle Market, while the rest of you circle to the bottom of the map (towards I think B12)? Have I gotten it right?

No, he will be with us. The group will walk hidden in the buildings, as we circle the bottom of the map. He will be going with us, but out in the open drawing attention to himself.

So you're just taking the long way around to the Battle Market, with everyone but Dmitri using the buildings to hide from prying eyes and Dmitri just using the roads?

What will be your policy when it comes to buildings? Searching or not?

Just a quick once over I imagine. We haven't found much in many of the buildings. If they stand out for some reason, we would probably be longer with them. That said, I think in our rotation, B10 would likely be the first stop.

I honestly think Detect Good is less handy than Detect Evil, given the circumstances.

Detect Evil lets you know if there are any ruthlessly evil characters present while Detect good lets you know if people are "Trustworthy"

Detect good: "Is anyone here reliable?"
Detect evil: "Is anyone here unreliable?"

If someone doesn't read as evil, then they can be somewhat trusted, especially if they're a cleric of a good deity. If someone doesn't read as good, they can't be trusted. For my purposes and Dmitri's character, Detect Evil is fun. I shall abuse it thoroughly.

Plus, Paladin's use Detect good for every single situation where they see a new person, but only so they can smite them if they turn up dark. Antipaladin's have no reason to obliterate good if they can find a use for them, so they don't have to do it as often. It's just more of a loose end tier.

I had beautiful posts up yesterday, and it seems the website reset yesterday ate them. Shame.

I would be all for meeting Brek and Je'grik but I'd prefer it if they didn't just walk up to us. Maybe taking part in one of the battles on land level? I'm not sure how you'd do it really.

I agree, but it's not down to intelligence really. Anyone can come out with tactics, just some better than others and Apollo's had his fair share of good ideas and bad ideas already, but I find basing that kind of thing on a single statistic can hamper roleplay, so I throw his thoughts out there anyway.

If anything, it should be the person with the most charisma who leads, if statistics are anything to go by, but even then not everyone will follow a man/woman just because they're charismatic.

I guess you don't feel Apollo adds much tot he story if you find him uninteresting. Ah well, I'll continue with whatever he wants to do anyway.

No one's said your character is uninteresting. If anything his only downside, well... Let's put it this way. I'm playing a masochist, and you've nearly died significantly more than I have.

Dmitri isn't so much leading. It's an appalling idea for the lot of you to follow someone who's lawful evil. I'm teetering on NE, considering how prone to random bouts of physical injury Dmitri is.

He's just analytical of situations because he wants to maximize the enemy's discomfort, and prologue his own suffering.

I mean in regards to Apollo leading. Tbh, with his attitude would it not be more interesting if he were to lead? It would be a quick massacre if Gnoll's are concerned (of the party possibly)....because he really doesn't like holding back and yea I know, you've got Charisma and Intelligence down to a tee.

I'm fine with inserting inside the battle map. I'd rather it not be rushed just to make way for us to come in but where it would make more sense for us to be there.

Just strolling up doesn't make sense.

And I feel stats shouldn't be a main factor in whether who gets to lead, sometimes it's the hero who is supported by the more intelligent, the better speaker and looker.
