Apollo has gone missing, and I'm thinking that I'm going to DMPC him right up until his character dies (which isn't really that far off). And last I checked, Angmar volunteered to come back?
What do you guys think about auto-resolving this combat? Long pointless combats in PbP bore me. If I can get in touch with Angmar again, I can move us somewhere much more interesting. I might even be able to start mapping.

I'm prolly gonna go with the sanctified slayer. Seems pretty awesome. Angmar was likely involved in some covert missions for the church and had to get his hands dirty more than he would have liked.
How soon are you planning on getting Angmar back aboard? I likely won't get around to finalizing things before the weekend.

One more question for you Leinathan. The Sanctified Slayer gets the Studied Target ability which grants a scaling bonus on attack, damage and to the DC of class abilities.
The question is does this apply to the save DCs of my spells?
Now there is quite a bit of discussion on the rules forum about this question but no concrete FAQ so I'd love to hear your opinion on the matter. I'm cool with whichever way you rule it (only one of my spell allows for saves anyhow). But I'd like a call from you as it might influence my spell selection in the future.
I'm going to say that yes, it increases the save DC of your spells.
Damm yep so it's me. Just found a pretige class that allows me to advance my spell casting and give me a little more skill points.

I dunno if the Evangelist is the best choice for Brek. You'd have to wait until 9th level to take it at all (Rogue 3/Sorcerer 6 being the earliest entry point) and Brek never struck me as much of a man of faith.
Of course, you have five levels to change that impression.
The other thing is that the Evangelist is mechanically a powerful class, almost entirely because of its "Aligned Class" feature. I'm afraid that you'd be picking the class because of its power, not because it makes sense.

Perfectly true on the power part since I don't have enough skills to make it as a skill monkey nor the arcane spell power to pull it off.
Then again Arcane Trickster is still the class of choice atm. Evangelist, the PrC powerful as it is is too late an entry as I'll be having two different classes. It works best on a single class. Although I'm wondering why you mentioned 5 levels? The prereguistes set it as
'Special: Any one of the following: base attack bonus +5, 5 ranks in any skill other than Knowledge (religion), or ability to cast 3rd-level spells.'
Brek also doesn't truly act as a man of faith, more of an one who grabs chances that benefits him the most despite his alignment. lol.
I'm not worried about locked doors as I have Angmar, Dmtri and Kori for those lol.
Just traps, diabolical traps and well even more traps. I have a paranonia on characters getting killed by traps.
Because you'd have to be level 10 to be a level 1 evangelist (rogue 3/sorcerer 6/evangelist 1) and you're currently level 5. It's five more levels before you can possibly be an evangelist, so you have five levels to make it make sense.
Meanwhile, y'all need to actually do something for things to happen. Anything at all.

So this situation begs the question...what do we do?
I say either we continue as is (with Brek as an NPC) or put the game on hiatus till Brek returns.
I don't have a real preference either way.
I'm more in favor of the former, with continuing with Brek as a properly played NPC with (Questionable) amounts of plot armor, given the circumstances.
I agree with Dmitri. Given the circumstances, we do not know what sort of time frame we are dealing with. Continue, but give Brek a free ride back to Kelmarane at the first chance. Where he is safe until such a time as he is willing and or able to rejoin us.

Things may be going fairly slow for me until the end of the semester, I bit off more than expected, so please bear with me. Sunday at work is currently the only solid free time I've been able to find to post. I should have a post up today.
I've been thinking of making this game inactive for quite awhile.
It's been really awesome, but there have been a pretty large volume of stutters in gameplay recently, due to drops and recruitments and interparty drama, and I honestly don't know how dedicated I am to this game after all of that.

Awww.. I'm sad to hear that but if the GM is not feeling into it anymore, I understand.
That's a shame, but I understand, given the circumstances. Perhaps I'll see some of you in other games down the line.

I mirror Brek's sentiments. I hate to see it go, but when the GM isn't feeling it, it's hard to move ahead or get that feeling back.
