I apologize for not posting sooner! Been a hectic couple of weeks...

My followers are strike hard, strike fast types, but between myself and my cohort we've got area control pretty well done up. Hit and run for my followers, but if I'm tag-teaming with another group I can do ranged support as well.

Couple things:

1) @NS: The map is 30 long(X) by 20 high(Y). Do you mean to say that it is 5 miles long? That would make it 3.33 miles high, and each hex is 880 ft' in diameter, or about three football fields.

2) Also, I don't see any "3 trees" hexes. Just FYI.

3) @Everyone, I'm gonna divide the "Strategic plan" discussion between here and gameplay, just for sake of length. We can always put our desicions in-character if he need to.

We're vastly outnumbered at 4:1. That's long, but doable. We can win, but pulling that off usually involves surprise (which we don't have) or a fantastic defensive position. (Most of the truly great upsets have been defensive in nature. Lee repelling McClellen's Penninsula campagin, The Battle of Kursk, Stalingrad. Otherwise if the attacker has numbers, he usually carries the day. Unless there's technology, but we'll get in to that later.) We can't pull Alexander's Elephant-trick, but we might be able to do something close. =)

What jumps out at me (this is all IMHO, so feel free to jump in) is the Mountain "Hook" range that starts at (7,8) and hooks NE. That and the dark-green forest-cliffs at (10,14) that slant down for 3 hexes.
If we can lure them in to that 'funnel' between those two points, we can bottleneck them at (9,12) and that at least evens out their odds.

We can put a stopping-force at (5,7) to make sure that position isn't flanked, and we got ourselves a battle!

Kan Meheena, if you can ride hard and get in front of them, and get the bulk of their forces to chase you into the 'funnel', that might be all the luck we need.

I've got a few magic tricks _IF_ we can get them all into a compact area like that. But with the Mountains on our right and the forest-cliffs tp our left, that would might just work.

We also just put another blocking force from (5,16) along those hills, hugging the south shore to hook up with that forest-cliffs section.
Basically, we just have the army make a great big 'V' hinging at (9,14). =)

I like the idea, but the mountains can be traversed which means that we still have to worry about them going over the mountains and flanking us. Even though it might be hard to go over the mountains, its still possible. We should also try to take advantage of some of our flyers to try to find where some of the handlers are so we can take them out. Me and my followers might be good to do the damage because of this item. My cohort has the Lord's Banner of the Crusades and will be quite useful, and it was quite expensive so I would like to put it to good use.
