no, you don't count as fighters if the pre-req for the feat is to be a fighter. If it's just a level requirement, then its admissible.

To be frank, if something like this comes up again, Ri'Kli'Klek will probably try to stunning fist anyone who looks like they're thinking about trying it. His attempts at stopping things here just made things worse, from his perspective, so he won't be allowing anyone to get close enough to touch it next time if he can help it.

Honestly, this may come down to combat between them. He's serious enough about this to try to kill if that's the only way he can prevent it from getting out of hand. It's kind of what his only remaining purpose in life is at this point.


I just want to be clear that don't want this to escalate to where the PLAYERS are fighting with/hating on each other.

The CHARACTERS fighting is okay if you're both down with it, and whoever dies can roll up a new character, very Athasian style.

Ri'Kli'Klek would die in a confrontation with just about anyone else in the party, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't try, though--especially since he has no reason to trust anyone in the party to not be power-hungry fools who will bring doom upon Athas.

Given the wide array of alignments and goals in our party I'd be surprised if it didn't come to bloodshed at one point or another.

Rokan is mostly untrusting (except probably of amunet), but otherwise simply disoriented. Most of his original quest party is gone, so he's simply trying to move forward with what he was tasked with (find ways to detect the dopplegangers and then proceed further into kaliday and deal with the gate).

Amunet-Ra will probably support Ri'Kli'Klek point.
What drove her is more curiosity. She has strong ties with her family and tribe and elves do remember. Also she saw the slaughter of elves at the red gods hands, something she wants to avoid and possibly avenge.

Let's try to refocus monday--we were about to/going to open the next door. Can I have some confirmation on that, and then I'll also introduce the new players, which are an elf shamen (from a different tribe than Amunet), and her magical weapon (also a PC, kind of fun!)

It's canon that Athas is a desert world with a red sun thanks to Rajaat the Warbringer, the first defiler, whose genocidal campaign against... well, just about everyone is what's left Athas as the fantasy equivalent of a post-apocalyptic world.

As I understand it, for this game we're going with the idea that the Red God was basically the kreen equivalent of Rajaat, meaning he was just as willing to drain the life out of the world to accomplish his designs.


That's the idea -- it's based on a post from the Athas.org forums about homebrew concepts for 'other Dark Lords' of Athas. The idea is that there were figures similar to Rajaat other places who were his allies. The Red God Dargulin is also connected with/founded the Priests of Change of the Kreen Empire.

How else do you expect him to survive the deadly heat that is a staple of Dark Sun?


Well, this is a Dark Sun game, and I'm also a big advocate of using rules/scenarios other DMs won't allow, so I'll permit PvP melee as long, as I indicated above, both PLAYERS are okay with it as a roleplaying exercise, and they're both cool with rolling up a new character after one kills the other.

The only thing I'm not okay with is people real life hating each other because another dude's demon killed his thri-kreen on online.
