Don't worry about missing things. That's for your players to notice. Paint a picture with a wide enough view, and your players should interact with the things -they- feel are important. They'll tell you what you didn't explain thoroughly enough to them, via action.
Your players are four or more people (as a general rule). They will think of things you didn't. They won't think of things you find obvious. You won't think of things they find obvious. That's why it's like herding cats.

Here's my perspective. I haven't played any RPGs in many years, not since I played D&D in college. I only started playing Pathfinder around last October or so, after discovering its existence entirely by chance. Since then I've joined three play by post games on Paizo. One has already died (GM disappeared), the second one is probably dead and the third game is this one. So I don't have a lot of benchmarks for measuring this game.
I haven't been particularly unhappy that things haven't been more dramatic, or flashy or whatever. I didn't have any expectations about the tempo of the game coming in. One of the things I like about it has nothing to do with the content or the players, it's the fact that it's a psionic game. That has some novelty value, plus the psionic ruleset is much smaller, and therefore much simpler than its traditional spell casting counterpart. I've been in a couple of Roll20 games recently where it seems you have to spend as much time looking stuff up as you do actually playing.
I'm fine with continuing. This the only PbP game I'm in at the moment and I don't have any major complaints.

It turns out there is a stat buffing psionic power, Animal Affinity, which is a level 2 psionic power for an Egoist like me, or a Vitalist. With no augmentation it can give you a +4 in a stat of your choice.
Unfortunately, the range is "personal." But an Egoist gets the "shared effect" ability at lvl 8. Once I have that, I'll be able to use psionic powers on others that would ordinarily only be useable on the manifester, so at level 8 I'll be able to hand out charisma buffs.

Jin will keep you alive until then I guess. Almost ALL of his feats are being used sadly to keep up. Now we just wait on the GM to Advance us out of here. Thats why I havent posted more.

Lan Minerva |

As everyone has stated that they're pleased with the game, and I'm the only one who has had problems... I guess you'll just be better off without me. I'll probably withdraw once we get back to a proper place.
Sorry for any disappointment.

Jin Hebimoto |

If you feel that way, thats fine. No one is forcing you to do so but if you also feel that somehow being the only one means you have to leave that is false. Either way it might be completely different reasons So i can't judge.

Lan Minerva |

Honestly... I don't think it is the only way. I'll try changing Lan up a bit to make him more of what I enjoy. Better than just giving up on him, eh?

jimibones83 |

@Zara I think this quest was far more dangerous than you realize. This tribe would need to be much smaller to be considered a formidable challenge. And for a moment, I actually thought you were going to wind up on fight/run terms with them. Jin struck the right chord by mentioning guns. Also, it will get better. This is just the tip of the iceberg

Zaralastra |

I'm sure it was dangerous, but in a binary sort of way. Either they would decide to kill us, in which case we would certainly die versus their overwhelming numbers, or they would decide not to kill us, in which case we would live.

Technically, survival can be performed untrained, heck, Lan could take 20 on trapping. It'd not do much good, though, with the lack of ranks and such. But even if he'd just spent his time foraging, rather than trapping, he'd have received enough food for 5 people for a day with that -really- lucky dice roll. You could easily treat this as having the proper tools, I guess. That's probably what I'd do. I wouldn't suggest they were masterwork by any means, however.

Lan Minerva |

You do know that Survival for hunting food is pretty much a 'per day' thing, yeah, Jin? Or do you have a class feature or something?

Jin Hebimoto |

Hrm Nah, I just was redoing what he did before.. it was Reagents and Food I'll just redo it instead. This time just did food without realizing it.. assume the first was Reagents then

I'm finding myself short on time and energy since purchasing my new house. There's a lot of work that has to he done on it, which I have to do around work. Would you guys be ok with taking a break for a couple months? This would be a good spot for it. Perhaps when we returned, everyone would be re-energized
If everyone is cool with that, we'll finish up a lil rp first

Lan Minerva |

You already know where I sit, personally.
From the perspective of you being a human being, I completely accept that you have a lot on your plate, and saying that you don't think you can manage it is a lot more than many dms give their players. Do whatever you need to do. This is not a job. :)

jimibones83 |

I would like to continue, but would like a couple months to button some things up over here. I figure with the length of pbp games, a break for a couple months wouldn't be too bad. Plus, maybe it would kinda give everyone a chance to be excited about it again, kinda like a fresh start when we resume

Jin Hebimoto |

I hope everyone has had a fine time so far.I had a idea that was brewing but as of right now am a little scatterbrained. I hope jimi's situation is going swell.

Jin Hebimoto |

That sucks nards. I've don that before, working 12's is alot of dough, but it wears on you quickly when things like seeing the sun go up AND down and still working kicks in.
I'll be glad to continue whenever you are ready.
Jin had a few things he wanted to complete but Im not sure you've had time to think about the world or this game because of RL.

jimibones83 |

Well, I'm actually only working at work 40 hours a week, but when I get off I go straight to the house I just bought and work till sun down, and also all weekend. It might ease up a bit soon, but it won't last long. I'll let you know if it does though. Maybe I'll throw in a weeks worth of game play or something, just to bridge the gap

Jin Hebimoto |

No rush, just makin sure everything is going right. I know the struggle of a new place. Making sure everything is up to snuff, painting remodeling.. crippling debt .. for a moment.

jimibones83 |

It was pretty bare bones when I bought it. All plumbing and electrical had been ripped out. House was gutted down to the studs. Currently replacing all the floor joists in the attic and putting up a few walls. Put in a new breaker box already and got power on, but still need to wire the rest of the house. Need all the framework completed first though. Hoping that step will take no longer than through next weekend

jimibones83 |

Poop. I forgot, I can't fire anything up at all till I get a new PC. Mine finally crapped out on me for good, and I can't do maps from my phone. Could do rp, but I'm sure wed run into the need for a map after just a short while. A new PC is at the top of my list though. I'll get one right away once this bit of work is done at my house

Jin Hebimoto |

Yeah thats muy importante to say the least.. At least it was after taxes so you might actually have a bit and luckily computers get cheaper and cheaper.

jimibones83 |

Well, its not looking good. Tried to get a computer on credit, couldn't do it, which pissed me off pretty good because my ol lady is the one that applied and she has good credit. Anyway, its gonna be a while before I can get a new computer. Sorry to bust onbya guys, but I really don't have any options
