Fren Leone |

This is the first time I was ever chosen when there were other people gunning for the same spot.
So my little dwarf is an obsessive planner especially for spells. If you want me to carry any specific scrolls just ask.

I'm honored to be selected.
Seeing that we don't have a trap dealer, I volunteer for that role and will go rogue for two levels?
My inital build is a Fighter 2/ Rogue 2/ Cavalier 6 though it's still ar off.
This is Brok a former Brigand signing in.

So some quick requests.
Start Every IC Post (regardless of the situation) with a Sense Motive and Perception Check, these will be your checks for anything that may happen in my next post or anything that I might be "hiding".
If you can learn anything about a character, creature, artifact, landmark, etc. I will place an ooc note at the end of my post introducing it, that says "Knowledge Checks Available" Start your next post with any knowledge check you think is appropriate. If you succeed, I'll send you a PM (secrets!) with the appropriate information based on your check.
For example, you guys might know who this Jory character is with the appropriate Knowledge (nobility) check.
If everyone would follow Fren's style of Character stats under their name I'd appreciate it, the total HP will help me keep track of battered. Also, please try your best to track your HP in the your signature.
If you can do me a favor, please put your character sheet in your profile. I'd like to have everyone's final sheet in their profile by Friday.
I will track the days, so when I've decided the day is over, you'll see a post like at the top of my first gameplay post, the day of the week, the day of the month and the year. On a new day, anyone who has renewable powers or spells needs to update their profile with their current spells, whatever spells you have in your profile after your first post of the new day, will be your spells for the entire day.
I'll be providing you all with a link to a spreadsheet, so you can track your loot as a party and personally (I'll add loot to the general pot and you guys can figure out how to split it).
Finally, I'd like a PM from the 5 of you with 3 influences on your character's life.
These influences can be a rival. A family member. An obsession. A quest. whatever, just 3 of them, whether they are alive or not (if they're living things). These will help me build hooks for your character.
K, other than that, introduce yourselves and lets have fun.

Have updated my Stats as Requested.
I'm Herman aka Hermes.
Living in Singapore that's UTC+8 for ya. Have played DnD for about 10 years or so. Started from 2nd Ed.

![]() |

Oh, also, I'll post Leveling up rules when we get close and the links at the top will be our current maps. You'll get access to edit encounter maps, I will edit the exploration map.
Check the Campaign Info Tab for House Rules.
Please select a small jpeg you'd like as your token, for me to add to our maps.
Finally, let me know if you need anything or want to use a feat or item outside the SRD, that was only for character gen as it makes life easy.

Fren Leone |

I would prefer using Fren's picture for the encounter map.

This is Walter I live in New York sadly alone.
I am in graduate school to become a librarian with only a year left.
I started my first Table top game of Pathfinder July of what is now last year. I was originally going to play D and D but there was a society game open the week I decided to start so I just play pathfinder since I have a bunch of the books.

Kyra Lightstep |

Okay, give me just a little bit as I continue to fix the setup I had to match Fren's.
Also, will have the PM to you quickly ^^ Thinking carefully on it.
Edit: And, name's William, from central U.S., and if I disappear for a couple hours at random it means someone mispronounced "fhtagn" again. Never, ever play poker against Hastur... I swear he cheated!

Use this Character's Avatar for the Token.
PM sent regarding the influences.

Kern Therensgard |

Hi, I'm Andrew, living in Massachusetts. I've been playing various RPGs starting with D&D since '79.
A good avatar for Kern can be found here.
PM on it's way shortly...

Darvan Jullies |

My profile and stat line are up to date, I'll send the PM soon.
I'm a college kid at Rose going for biomedical engineering (sophomore). Been playing for a few years and DM'ing for a little less time than that. I'm also a huge theater person and am currently working on a newly released Sherlock Holmes play.

Vulture? Why a Vulture?

![]() |

Because it will be bald just like Fren and Fren likes bald things. That sounds vaguely dirty.
Lol. I concede that point. I for one would like a giffon.

It's about past midnight for me here. :P

Inside the post, you notice the palisades have a gang plank attached to them, wide enough for a single person to stand on and walk all the way around the perimeter of the fort. The Palisades offer enough cover that if a medium sized creature were to stand on the gangway and duck, they couldn't been seen from outside the walls.

Darvan Jullies |

How high are the walls?
I say we let them stroll right in and then surround them, closing the gate behind them.

![]() |

What you have at your disposal.
1. 10 Leather bags.
2. 100' Rope and 25' twine
3. Lead weights for a scale
4. 6 logs, 4-foot long, fairly straight.
5. 25 gallon barrel of Lamp Oil
6. Case of Grain Alcohol High enough proof to burn
7. Plenty of Hay/Fodder
8. Wagon
9. 2 potions of Cure Light Wounds
You can try to craft Ballista Bolts out of those logs a DC25 Knowledge Engineering, will give you a quality bolt that flies straight and deals 3d6 damage (not D8s because you won't have a metal tip). DC20 will give you a usable bolt that fires with a -2 to accuracy and deals 2d8 damage. DC15 a poor bolt that fires with a -4 to accuracy deals 2d6 damage, and breaks the ballista on a critical fail (must be confirmed with a missed attack roll)
Fixing a Ballista is a DC25 Know Engineering check, it will take you the rest of the day. If you had all day, you could fix one with a DC20 check each or two with a DC25 each. A DC15 check will allow you to fire 1x with a -4 penalty and the ballista will break again.
Crafting a sap out of the leather sacks and lead weights is a DC10 Craft Arms and Armor check (can be done unchecked, cannot take 10.) A DC5 will give you a broken one you can still use, but take a -4 penalty for attacks and -2 penalty to damage. The saps will deal 1d6+STR non-lethal.

12 feet, the gangway is set at 8 feet, so you have partial cover if firing over the wall (no penalty to you) and if you duck low, you can't be seen from approaching riders. There's ladders on each tower to climb up. You can jump down from the wall without injury, however, you must make a DC 12 Reflex Save or land prone.

HAY!!!!!!
Oh hay makes such good ambush points. We can just put piles of them wherever we want and hide people in them.

Kyra Lightstep |

We could also pile some of the hay in a wagon, coat it in lamp oil or alcohol, trap them inside, give the wagon a really good push toward them, and then light the hay. Have a combatant on each side to keep them trapped so they get run over by the burning death trap we just sent their way.

Kern Therensgard |

"Hrm, I am reluctant to send a flaming wagon travelling through the courtyard of a mostly wooden fortification. Smaller alcohol or lamp oil fires are likely controllable, but a flaming haywagon seems dangerous...not to mention the damage to the wagon itself"

Darvan Jullies |

In discussion Kern, no need for formatting haha.
That's a good point, we don't want to cause damage if we don't have to. Let's choose a more environmentally friendly approach, says I.

![]() |

Hay is good.
With those items, is it possible to craft a swinging log trap or something?

Darvan Jullies |

If they came in fast enough then some taught string or rope might cause quite a bit of damage to a galloping horse.

Kyra Lightstep |

I like that idea ^^
Need to get the paladin further in. She's about as stealthy as a boombox at max volume... Maybe have her standing by the gold and offer the enemies surrender to distract them while the party closes the doors behind them? And with one person hiding behind the table, she definitely would look alone...
Edit: And I see that has already been ICly suggested. I should have checked the roleplay thread first.

At work now. I'll post when I'm home. Work full day on weekends so mysposting rate drops then.
