So we finished with the gnome and mine in month 5 as well as this exploration. I would say we finish getting the treasure and scout any hex that may be adjacent not sure what hex this was in? Month 6 was done and is adding Olegs to the kingdom. We can explore and clear more hex's in month 6. I will work on a kingdom sheet like I did in another game that is easy to follow today and share it. I will do another 6 months as well as it seems we have no business coming up as well.

Wolf I will do the events in the kingdom turn like in the other game just to keep things easy to follow and we can know what months we will be spending RP time on.

So we may need to RP another couple days as We got sent from work and we are off until Friday. We will probably lose power from the Hurricane so my posting may be on and off. After 5 years of this game. Wow. I have begun to realize that our GM is a sucker for cool mounts. When I made Quince I figured a horse would be a good choice. I even used my connection to Scram as part of his Backstory. Which was actually how my mom got a horse when she was a girl (a horse abused in Polo not a divine revelation). Knowing GM Wolf's enjoyment of cool mounts, Stalker has a teleporting horse, Saren rides a dragon lizard thing, Krazok has an Final Fantasy bird you get the idea. 5 years ago I figured horse was a good grounded choice now I realize I should have asked for something more exotic. So if the GM wants to give out a Celestial Honey Badger, Tauntaun, or other awesome creature I would be quite happy. Just saying.

I know, that's why I added in but also for two other reasons, scouting is fun but once you discover everything, faster travel becomes more necessary. In addition, as we level, our current steeds become more and more fragile with time in which Sota Fizz can kill them with a sneeze. Oh, and one more thing, since we are the leaders, we may need to move fast across the Greenwatch to defend her.

If I am delayed for a bit, we got hit with a power outage issue too but we are being positive and thinking we will be unaffected even though Michael will hit us harder than Florence did due to the path it is taking versus Florence.

I will have to think about how I want work it out with Scram. I just thought it was funny all the exotic mounts the NPCs had.

1- Perhaps there is an item that beefs him up or grants a cool ability. Honestly that sounds like a beyond level 5.

2- Maybe he gets old and needs to retire. I have yet to pick a new set of animals to talk to so perhaps there is room for us to meet a Giant Elk mount or an armored Bear that I can add to my talk to animals list.

3- I start to RP through dreams and such which might turn into me seeking out a way to have Scram go through some sort of transformation. Into ? ? ?

I have been trying to figure out what animal is Kev's spirit animal like my highest level character is a bird of prey in which he found a rare large bird that is both fast on land and in the air, and equally dangerous in either.

Kev's spirit animal is definitely Equine in nature. I have a good concept in mind but I would like to hear other options.

A giant smart rhino with better vision would be cool. Rhinos are amazingly agile, they can turn on a dime like horses even with all that mass.

I was thinking something like Shadowfax with modified Air Walk, force breath weapon, and natural weapon + force strike like Channel Force. The horse is all white except the hair is gray and it looks like Friesian except obviously the color.

I could see Kev on a Hippogriff except for the wings but not the Griffon or Manticore. And while Kev is one of our Erastil worshipers, I don't get the feeling Elk, Moose, or Deer are Kev's spirit animal as well.

That may be the dumbest thing I've done in character ever...and my first D&D character was a kender who asked a minotaur which parent was the cow, his mom or dad.

One of my regrets about leaving Florida: we never had a hurricane D&D marathon. I kept trying to get my friends to hold one, you know - no electricity but candlelight d20 rolling and the like...makes for a great time passer.

Then again, towards the end of my time there, everyone I met who gamed was a f@%+ing flake. Why is flakiness the most common shared attribute of gamers?

I don't have the ride ranks or feats to make it work, or hell even the build to make it practical, but I love the vision of Sota riding an orange tabby cat with battle armor into the fray. I'll just put in a claim for the Handy Haversack and Sota, you can have the Dex Gloves if no one wants to challenge. Since I am getting close to medium load, it would be nice to have the Handy Haversack especially since I can stuff it with a lot of arrows ... LOL.

Re: being sprite like - To me, characters are, at some fundamental level, a reflection of an aspect of their writers. I'm not a doofy childlike nice loveable dope, but sometimes, there's a part of me that is. Not all, but aspects...or at least it's a relatable outlet for that deep down urge to toss it all and act like a kid again.

The same is true if I'm playing a lawful evil devil tiefling who wants order and control and security at the cost of freedom; fundamentally I disagree as an ooc individual, but I can channel and control that part of my personality, deep down who can understand why fear would motivate you to give up freedom for security and order.

Somewhere, somehow, I need to really and deeply "get" what I'm playing or I just can't do it justice. One reason I rarely cross gender RP. I don't get most women. It's not an insult, but their mindset, for the most part, is so foreign to me as to be alien. Otherwise I would be relying far too much on stereotype and conjecture to improvise the why behind the what, and I'm sure I'd eventually make a caricature of the gender

Sota is a kid at heart. I can get that. I remember being a kid. It isn't me now, but it's not alien to me. As I grew, I imagine he can, over the course of time...and dynamic characters are far more interesting than static ones.

So looking back the kingdom turns were messed up as I was using the really old kingmaker rules on economy and building cost. Also there is no rule to against building a farm on the same hex as your city. A hex is 12 square miles and a city district is one square mile. I guess if the city got really big maybe you would have to destroy the farm.

So I'm working on the sheet and I will do the 6 months as we had keeping the rolls but buildings may change as the BP is different. Also the starting area is all hills not plains so farms are more. After I get that caught up I will do the next 6 months and link the sheet. Though we may have some leadership changes for month 7 with our new peeps. :)

So roads are just not practical at the start as we are claiming hill hexes with rivers so they would be 6BP, So it will be Farms and Mines/Quarry's. We will come back and do roads a bit later.

Alright got the original turns redone. For turn 7, I have made Oleg Viceroy/Mayor of Olegton or whatever we call his place. Moved Jhod to Treasurer and Sota to Magister. We may make other changes depending on how things play out with Krazok and Selena. We don't have stats for Larina either she may be able to take a role. With the influx of BP and doing better then we originally thought I'm going to look at some of the big buildings. In another kingmaker game we did the theater to get a discount on the Inn and Tavern, then plan on upgrading the theater. How do you guys feel about that?

That all works for me Tristan.

The only caveats I would offer is that we have a very nature/pro-fey team. Our Queen is half fey, we have a PC who is a sprite. If any of our choices would cross a line I hope the GM would warn us or would we need to talk more about things.

I don't think we have done things that would betray that ideal I just wanted to point out that the FLAVOR or our expansion and economy is one that wouldn't want to cross the line on things the Fey might have issue with.

We need to watch how much land we use, how many trees we cut down, replace cut down trees with saplings, only use what we need, and use all what we need, no waste. Basically what Erastil wants too except be equally good to your families.
