So while I think of it before I dive back into going over the new Dreadball stuff (seasons 5 and 6 went out to backers of the Dreadball Xtreme Kickstarter earlier today), how were us newcomers going to be entering the plot?
| DM Tuyena |
Well the Greenbelt has had no shortage of newcomers since the mandate first came down about its reclamation.
In that vein um going to let you all decide how you came here, whether by chance, by proclamation of Brevoy, etc.
The party has been away from Oleg's Trading Post which has been their base of operations for about ten days now and will need to head back for supplies, which will get them there two days from that point.
So you could have been at Oleg's from anywhere to a day to almost two weeks.
Also I want to apologize in the delay of starting the game back up, my work has been exceedingly busy and time consuming due to losses in our staff. It's finally normalizing but I'm still working more than normal and hours I'm not used to but I'm getting near the end. In either case I'm looking to get the game back up and running today.
I think the most organic way of going about this is just to send the party back to Oleg's and let you all talk it out.

Fair enough, just thought I'd check. Started thinking about that at work earlier today and it started bugging me so I figured I'd ask while I thought of it.
And having the party returning to Oleg's is probably the easiest way to do it - fits with some of Xan's background, at least (see The Ambush in her profile for those who don't know what I'm talking about. Namely the first couple of sentences).

seems the internet gods are against me today - needed to fix my work computer and now the settings are screwed up where it wont let me post, that's a fix for tomorrow though. Left home this morning with my wifi down. But I'm back up and running and should be able to post earlier tomorrow and more often going forward.

Ah; bloody hell, when did we start?
EDIT: I've been bringing the game up each day for a while now, waiting for there to be a new post notice next to the Gameplay tab. Guess those only appear if you've posted in the thread.
EDIT2: Ah well; found a way to slip in anyway and I kinda prefer introducing Xantria this way anyway.

Xantria - the best thing to do when you join a new campaign is to "dot" the gameplay thread. It does not matter what, even a simple "." will do. Then immediately delete the post. The system, will recognize you as having posted, and will make the campaign show up under your campaign tab, but it will not clog up the gameplay thread with dots.

That reminds me; I've been wanting to make a blind Oracle of Battle based on Augus.

Hey Sugua, I think you and this guy need to get together and talk about how good that RNG lovin' is. I mean seriously, holy crap.

O.o
Okay, is that guy the reincarnation of Vash the Stampede or something?

I'm up to somewhere over 25k posts now. I have seen 20-20 rolls before, don't think I have seen trip-20s, and definitely not where every one was an attack which confirmed. Pretty sweet, especially for an x4 weapon. (Can't say I am a fan of guns or gunslingers, but the damage and rolls were still pretty good.)

Do people still have an interest in this game? The posting rate is REALLY slow, especially since it was advertised as moving at a fairly quick pace. No, I do not expect 50-100 posts per day, but at least 1-2 per person per day is not too much to ask for, especially during the weekdays.
From what I can see, 2 players have not posted in a week, another since late July, and our esteemed DM has not posted IC in 9 days.
If this game is going to peter out, we should let it die. If people want to play, lets get the posting rate way up, and conquer the Stolen Lands.

I'll take the blame for all the delays, this month has just been a constant series of crises. I promise I'm not going anywhere and ask you all just bear with me a little longer.
In the meantime I don't mind pushing the story forwards when I can.
Though I'll mention if people are talking in the game and I'm currently busy with life then I'll just let you all talk. So if you want to nudge me then just make a post initiating a change of scenery.
Usually Sugua does this, but I think he's also been having a rough go of August as well.
Anyways, just try to bear with me folks, my luck has to improve sometime soon and then we'll really get things moving.

Yeah pretty much I assumed SOMEONE (The GM) Would get off his ass and do stuff. There were enough people that it seemed like I would be able to solve my plethora of issues and eventually come back to a moving game. But it seemed like he wasnt paying attention or had other things going on. Im not belittling his life either. I just noted when I was gone pretty much for like a week and a half it became like this but in multiple games. Im back now so Sugua will be consistent but yes there needs to be action on the GM's side as well. You all have been doing quite nicely on the player side. The direction is clearly, exploration and Kressle.
