The Library of Last Resort is your last chance to find the resting place of Dragotha's phylactery. But you aren't the only people looking for it.

A question about the summoned azatas--wouldn't their basic attacks still inflict extra damage to this demon anyway? I was under the assumption that good outsiders could bypass evil outsider DR and vice versa...
I think at this point it's "Kill it or TPK" given Eben's unconscious and Astraden's paralyzed. Dragging them out just gives it free attacks (AoOs plus Eyebolt full attacks) and just potentially means more of us will eventually fail a save.
My status bar is out of date, but I should also be at full. I got hit for a little bit of damage (which i forgot to update) but Astraden's Channel took care of that. Unless she didn't get that off...I'm somewhat unclear there.
Despite Rynjin's best efforts, I did get the channel off. And I have an actual cold iron dagger which Tanith at least could safely grab with a 5' back.
So it seems this party's biggest weakness is high, hard-to-bypass damage reduction. Not too surprising, considering the two melee fighters are both effectively two-weapon fighters. It's a good thing fiends don't play a major role in this AP.
Yeah, following Tanith's move on Facebook I have to say it's incredible he's managed to keep posting so regularly. When I'm traveling I usually miss a couple days of posting at the least.
That was a much rougher fight than I'd anticipated, but it's over now. Everyone who survived:
LEVEL-UP! Everyone is now level ten. Your Action Points are refreshed, and your Maximum Action Point Number increases to ten (this is the last level your AP number will be greater or equal to your character level, incidentally).
At 3rd level, a horizon walker learns total dominance over one terrain he has already selected for terrain mastery. When dealing with creatures native to that terrain, the horizon walker treats his favored terrain bonus for that terrain as a favored enemy bonus (as the ranger class feature) against those creatures. This bonus overlaps (does not stack with) bonuses gained when fighting a favored enemy.
I also gain Darkvision 60 feet.
This will require a bit of GM clarity...what constitutes a creature "native to terrain"?
It's probably easier to determine with some than others. I would consider it to be a creature whose species is associated with that terrain, not the native home of that creature in particular. So, a hill giant would be associated with hills/mountains, while a kobold would be associated with underground places.
Undead and other "Any" creatures are trickier, of course. True Ghouls like Moreto would certainly be underground, and undead closely associated with their living forms (like ghosts) might just count as the terrain their living forms were native to.
I'm gonna be a little while leveling up (tomorrow's a crunch day so I don't have to do homework on my birthday). Hopefully we don't run into another combat before Thursday?

madcap prank:
Madcap Prank (Su): At 9th level, a street performer can use performance to discomfit a target within 30 feet, causing its clothing to become tangled, its headgear to fall down over its eyes, or even causing it to slip and fall or otherwise be made to appear a fool. The target must make a Reflex save (DC 10 + 1/2 the bard’s level + the bard’s Cha modifier) each round that it hears or sees the performance, or it takes one of the following random effects each round:
Was there anything else we haven't done in the cairn before headed out for the last time? It feels like our pile of loot is exceedingly light. (Although including an artifact, so I suppose that skews things a bit...)
Well, that's what happens when a dungeon railroads you off to do the bidding of a giant talking spider. (Please tell me Moreto and his minions weren't sitting on a huge treasure pile...)
