Congratulations! Take your time getting back into the swing of PBP. A change of job and a birth in the family and house hunting all at the same time is a big set of stresses to take on at once. Take care of your health first. Studies have shown that whenever someone has such a series of stressful situations to deal with at once, it can weaken the immune system and then you add sickness to the stresses to deal with.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta |
Congratz. I hope everything works out well for you guys. I know how stressful that first one is, especially at the beginning.
GM Jimbles |
For those of you who requested Chronicles, I have finally put them together. Thanks for your patience!
Also, thanks for everyone's patience with my huge gaps in posting. Things are normalizing, and I hope to get back into this game soon, if not at great speed.
GM Jimbles |
Good to hear from you. :)
I hope you're getting at least a minimal amount of sleep. ;)
I... have slept. At some point. I think.
All jokes aside, things have been going really well, for which I am grateful. The next couple weeks are going to be quite hectic as we move into a new house, but after that things should really stabilize and I can start posting like a normal GM again.
GM Jimbles |
Hello, all. I'm really sorry about this ridiculous stretch of silence. I thought that moving would only take me out of service for a couple days, but then our new internet service provider couldn't provide internet service for, like, a month. We've been in the new house for something like five weeks only and I have only just today unboxed my computer.
Again, I'm sorry that I've been absent for so long. Over the next week or so I'll pick up the threads of this game and get it started again, as long as we still have people willing to play. Thanks for your patience.
Entiren Vraken |
Definitely still here, and ready to resume whenever you are.
GM Jimbles |
Not only are we back, but we're finally out of the longer starship combat ever! The Rictus hung on with 4/40 HP for three rounds before you dumped 36 damage into a single arc.
Also, you're all finally 3rd level. Congrats!

Oh, I do need to add, though, that I'm starting at a new school in 2 weeks. The new school is significantly more difficult than my old one. I'm going to try my best to keep up, but I may have to drop if my workload is too high.
GM Jimbles |
I should probably mention the new handout that I've linked in both the campaign header and my stat line. Instead of linking maps, art, and other supplementary materials wily-nily, I'll do my best to aggregate everything that's not starship combat into this single set of slides in order of relevance.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta |
Well, it looks like I got at least one class this semester. So I may be entirely out of pocket Monday.

GM. I'm not sure how easy it is for you, but can I get a rundown of the loot, what we're selling (vs keeping), and how much of a split each of us gets? My character (and I'm sure some others) would like to do some shopping, but I can't honestly remember what all we got and I'm not sure I have the time to go back through the last 6 pages of gameplay looking.
Entiren Vraken |
I have a spreadsheet with most of the stuff, at least that which wasn't claimed already. I can put that on here soonish.
Entiren Vraken |
I am fairly sure that this is comprehensive. If it isn't, go ahead and modify. I haven't done any of the math for determining how much everything would sell for, and how much it would be divided amongst the party, but I will work on that real quick.
Also, if there is anything that we don't actually have that is listed on this list, feel free to point that out as well.

How do you propose we apportion the sold value of goods? My usual suggestion is to factor in the sell value of the items people claim for their own share of loot. Then people who have claimed items just subtract the value of what they've claimed from their share of the sold items. It's as if the group sold the item to one of the team.
By the way, isn't the sell value something like 10% of the new value for non-trade goods?
I added a column to the left of the Sell value, to keep track of the original value of all sold items. That can be used to figure out what our shares would be before claiming items. For example, the value of each share divided 7 ways is 2000. The value of the items Miraj is claiming is also 2000, so he would get no cash from the sale of items, because he will have taken his share in items. But others would still get 1/7th of the value of the items being divided.
Entiren Vraken |
You are right, I totally forget the 10% price part. Oops.
As for your suggestion as to how to divide out the credits, that would work for me.
EDIT: sell prices for gear should be correct now.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta |
My home groups have always done it the way Miraj suggested and it's always worked well. We also have stuff that we call 'group loot' where we all agree to take a thing out of the 'sell pile' and keep it for the group. This is usually just stuff like healing serums that anyone can use when needed.
I think the loot list might be missing some stuff. I distinctly remember there being a shotgun (tactical scattergun?) and a clear spindle aeon stone somewhere in the loot. I also could have sworn there were a battery or two.
I don't see anything in the extant list that I'd claim. Though, if there is a clear spindle aeon stone, I'd like that.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta |
Oh, if we're doing it that way, you shouldn't be subtracting the value from the 'sell value' column on the sheet. You'd essentially be buying it from the group at the same price as the vendor. You'd just subtract your total from the 'split' value for the things you 'bought'.
Entiren Vraken |
For the batteries, any weapon that uses them includes one. Some of them lack charges, but they have them. If you want the batteries without the weapons, you could just remove the sell price of the battery from the weapon.
As for the two items you mentioned, I couldn't find them in a search of the gameplay thread.
GM Jimbles |
What would be the cost and what would it entail to have a pod installed in Lauren's quarters to let her relax in her native environment?
I'm afb at the moment, but there's an expansion bay that does exactly this (sealed environment chamber or something). I don't remember the BP budget of the stock Maiden, but there might be a BP or two to play with, and the amount of work to convert the ship at the Starfinders' docking bays would only take a day or so.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta |
The stock one doesn't have the BP for it. The character can survive without it. It's just a way to help me lock in roleplaying her.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta |
I think she's already getting the biggest room to herself, though. I think she's good. I was really just leaning into the whole, 'This place is weird, I miss home' trope.
GM Jimbles |
Ugh - I spent a good hour whipping up a nice post to take you to the Lorespire, only to step away from my computer for a minute and get shanked by forced updates. I'll get that to ya tonight, hopefully.

Starting hurricane preparations here. It's looking like it will hit Florida this weekend. Depending on how bad it is, we may evacuate on Friday or Saturday, and even if not, internet could be out for a few days.
