Sorry I've once again been AWOL. After my project completed a few weeks ago, I had gotten way behind on my grading and it took full time effort to get it done by the end of the term. I'm teaching a new (night) class now and although it is a large class, I'm getting my free time back and I'll be posting more consistently and promptly. For tonight, my post will have to wait until after my class but I'll make it as soon as I can. Sorry again for the delay. Hope this is the last time.

Honestly, I'm just happy that everyone is still around and willing to play after your GM up and vanished for roughly six months! I know it's a pretty busy time of year for many people, and I'm more than willing to wait a little, especially in these RP-heavy sections.
GM Jimbles
Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to give Aureum a chance to catch up with us, since we're on her home turf and all. Hopefully she'll be back soon!
Miraj Pavana
After spending the weekend getting caught up on holiday preparations, I was going to get up to date on all my PBP games yesterday. But I’ve been having severe GI distress that has everything on hold until I feel better,
I hope everyone has a happy holiday season.
Miraj Pavana
Thanks. After four days and nights with off and on trapped gas pain, I finally am starting to recover. It sucks to get a two week vacation from work and spend half of it incapacitated. But I only have to check the news to find reasons to be grateful.
I'm going to work on getting caught up with all my games over the next day.

I had something similar. I was off all last week and caught some kind of food poisoning on Christmas Eve that had me laid up until Saturday. Completely wasted my entire vacation. Back, now, though.

Tonight marks the end of my holiday break. I hope you all had a good one, ill spells notwithstanding. I know that things are pretty busy this time of year, so do me a favor - when you read this, sound off to let me know who is still around. I would like to make sure I have the party size nailed down before we head into the bottom of the inning.
Oh, and a second thing - I've been considering starting a second PbP game. It won't be soon (I would like to prove to myself that I can consistently GM for another six months or so), but if I decide I'm up for it I would want to get it started before the end of 2020. Is there another Starfinder AP that anyone is particularly excited to play in, bearing in mind that both The Threefold Conspiracy and Devastation Ark will launch this year? Personally, I'm quite interested in running Dawn of Flame, but they're all sitting on my shelf, and player buy-in is worth far more to me than a particular theme or setting.
Miraj Pavana
I'm starting my regular work week today. For the next three weeks, I'll be posting mostly in the morning (Monday - Thursday).
As for a new campaign, I'm potentially interested. Lately I've been slammed and barely able to keep up with two games as GM and three as player. But I can generally join games as a player without adding too much time for posting, once past the initial character creation. I've no particular adventure in mind, but once we are close to the decision, I'll look at what's available to see if something stands out.
Entiren Vraken
I'm still here as well. School will be starting back up for me next week, and that will probably influence my posting rate.
Concerning the second campaign, I would certainly be interested in playing, allowing that I am not too overwhelmed with my schedule and whatnot. For which game I would like to play, I am personally interested in most of the APs, so I don't have a particular favorite.

I'm still here as well, though I start school tomorrow, so the next week or two may be jagged as I adjust workloads.
I've already played most of the first two books of Dawn of Flame. And I've read the entire thing. I've also run/read Against the Aeon Throne. I wouldn't turn a repeat of them down, mind you, they were fun, but if it were my choice I would rather do Attack of the Swarm! (which I have left intentionally unread on my shelf just in case) or Devastation Ark. I'm not really excited by 3FC, but I may feel differently after it comes out and I read the player guide for it.

Hey guys, as much as I hate to say it, it looks like we've lost Aureum - we haven't had a post from our xenoarchaeologist in eight weeks. That brings us down to four PCs, which is the minimum table size I'm comfortable playing PbP with. Would you prefer to carry on with the party as-is, or would you like me to recruit one or two new players before we progress to the next chapter?
Obviously, I'll adjust the difficulty to however large the party is, so it's more of a question of having more characters to bounce roleplay off and a diverse skillset to tackle challenges.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta
I don't mind either way.
That being said, during the last 8 weeks we've had several major holiday/vacation periods and I thought they meantioned before that they were going through something at home. So it may be best to reach out to them before we do, if you haven't already.

A couple things:
I'm doing my best to keep the Temple of the Twelve handout up to date with the information you're collecting, maps, and and the sweet art of NPCs and locales and such; be sure to periodically check it out if you're not already doing so.
I've opened up a re-recruitment thread for this campaign, and we've already got four or so applicants. If you're interested, take a gander; if you have any opinions or comments, feel free to leave them in the thread or to PM me.
GM Jimbles
Hey, Jimbles. Do you use Hero Lab at all for Starfinder? If so, have you played around with the Campaign Theater stuff?
I haven't really looked at Hero Lab, no.
Miraj Pavana
Looking over the initial posts in the recruitment thread, I'm liking Irhok'zath and Johnny Lawrence. I think we need muscle more than mechanics or other non-front-line types. These two have interesting story lines and are integrated into Castrovel, so it would an organic type of add to the group. But that's just quick impressions based on skimming the entries.
GM Jimbles
Regarding Aureum's absence... Considering her hyper-awareness of the lashunta, is there any chance that Diedre would have noticed when she left?
Instead of asking for skill checks here, I'm going to leave the awareness of each PC up to the players. Auruem can be pretty quiet and unassuming when she wishes to be, but some PCs (certainly Diedre) would just now recall that she's been unusually standoffish the whole day and disappeared while the Starfinders were investigating Professor Solstarni's office.

Looks like seven people are vying for the two open spots. A couple of you have already shared some opinions with me - if anyone else wants to chime in, feel free to read through the thread and send me a PM in the next day or so.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta
I skimmed through it. Nothing stood out to me as a bad idea.
Miraj Pavana
I don't have time right now, but when I'm considering players for a game, I check out how regularly the player posts, if the player ever bailed on game without notice, and the quality of the RP in posts, particularly the attention to detail other than dialogue.
GM Jimbles
Everyone, say hi to our new characters, Johnny Lawrence and Irhok'zath! They will bring some much-needed might to the party as well as two very different flavors of Castrovel. As the next couple weeks unfold, I'll work them into the campaign, so be on the lookout for surprises. Soon™.
Diedre Lhashi
Welcome to the game!
Where's Johnny from on Castroval? Curious if he and Diedre might be familiar with the same regions. Diedre's from the city of Cordana, but she spent a semester here at the university before heading back to her home city.
A DC 25 Culture check would probably also mean that he's seen her face before.
Irhok'zath
Hello there! Glad to be on board, and looking forward to showing up in the game play.
Miraj Pavana
Welcome Johnny and Irhok'zath. Looking forward to encountering you IRP.
There are a lot of things about Miraj that aren't what they appear to be, so best not to look at his background.
Irhok'zath
I, otoh, like to keep a google sheet with every character stat written down - it's very handy in starship combat and skill challenges.
It looks like my account caught the "unchangeable avatar" bug that has been spreading around for the last couple a weeks, so I'll have to go faceless for now.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta
Sorry for being absent the last few weeks. My wife had a cancer scare (that turned out to be nothing, luckily), we've both been sick with a nasty cold, I had projects due at work and school, and yesterday my wife had appendicitis and had to have it removed. I've decided to drop out for the semester and with work easing up I should be getting back in the flow better over the next couple weeks.
Irhok'zath
Best of luck from now on. Big fan of your work on the Garaggakal fight.
GM Jimbles
I'm glad things are easing up on you. Take whatever time you need, we'll be here whenever you're ready to get back in the swing of things.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta
It's not the worst start to a year I've ever had, but it's pretty close. Thanks for the well-wishes. I'm working through it.
GM Jimbles
Is anyone waiting on me for something, or has it just been a busy week?
Irhok'zath
It's so lonely in Ukulam, all by myself...
Miraj Pavana
Just a note to inform that I'm experiencing more medical issues that may interrupt my posting. Please be patient if I don't post for a while. I'll keep you posted as things develop.
Laurenzia "Lauren" Th'Chenta
I had seen the post earlier in the week, but Lauren doesn't like being the first one to speak in the group as she's bad at it.
