I have my health as 16(-2 for DR on those two attacks) then +3 from zeke (I always forget it save for half) So i'm at 19 now.

The pain wrecks his body and seeing only more Orc's ahead of him he decides to heed Ton's words for once. "I need to pull back." He shouts out and as he does he looks up at the balcony, withdrawing a potion from his bag, and expecting hell to rain down from above.

I want to withdraw next to Jolga but I'm unsure if he has moved himself.

ROUND SUMMARY!

Wulf pulls back and goes out of his rage, passing by a surprised Sam, who at that moment approaches the orc and hits him, nearly knocking it out and staggering it. Zeke finishes it off.

Ton and Jolga both act defensively, buffing and curing.

Garfaulk lines up a shot with his musket, and despite the long range, gets a hard shot off against Birdfood! Even from this distance, you can see the hatred and pain in the Smiler's eyes.

Four orcs remain. One steps forward to engage Sam; another engaged Ton. The two orcs throw their remaining javelins (one at Wulf, one at Zeke), and then start moving toward the ramp, drawing their falchions as they go. Meanwhile, the gnoll archer fires his bow at Garfaulk, after seeing what his gun did to the boss.

While orcs have poor accuracy, they have great strength, and once in a while they simply get lucky. The orc attacking Sam gets a lucky shot into his torso, critting for 21 damage! All the other enemies miss, and Birdfood is still under the spell.

Paul, can spiritual weapon coup de grace? I think it's unclear RAW. CDG requires a melee weapon attack. SW summons a weapon by its description but also says that it attacks as a spell, not as a weapon, for purposes of DR. Either way, I'll go with this.

I am looking for a reason to deny the CDG but I don't see a good one. It turns out that you just had the perfect spells prepared and were clever. Can't stop that. However, your crit with the spiritual weapon doesn't do x2 damage, you have to roll the damage twice. So...

A light flail made of pure force appears and swings down on Birdfood, doing 13 damage. Birdfood has no defense... the flail splits his head, and he dies!

The orcs notice and scream, attacking with greater ferocity. They will never run. And the birds simply do not notice that their leader is dead!

Shaking the thought off, he pulls out Slagbreather, still holding crescendo off to the side. Aiming the smaller pistol, he takes a small step to the right and fires the scattershot at the birds that were harrying him, hoping the bang may even scare them off.

The blindness stops one from doing anything, but the other two are able to get swings off against Charles. Charles is fast on his feet, and dodges one, but takes another hit for 8 by the big swords.

Garfaulk next big boom finally does in the birds, and they scatter. They fly into the air, circle around, and eventually dissappear. Whatever control Birdfood had on them had ended.

Zeke and Ton end one orc, and Ton's magically enhanced shot ends another. Wulf misses.

Charles full withdraws. As injured as he is, it is the only thing that makes sense.

After the attacks, one orc is left standing. Blinded, it swings at Wulf....

Seeing Charles pulling his dagger, Garfaulk couldn't help but try to show off. Quickly reloading Slagbreather, he aimed for the orc, almost trying to beat Charles to the punch for the sake of being cool

As the last orc fall's Wulf follows up now boosted by Jolga, with a hammer hit on the last orc on the floor. "Bastards." He spits at them, panting at he does. "We should heal quick and then move to clear the place, that birdmans arrow hurt!" He pulls at the arrow, attemping to take it out with very little pain. Then drinks a potion.

Jolga lays the bodies neatly in a pile with grunts of effort for his old bones. Then he nods to his allies. "Well done. The night sky smiles on our union." Then he moves into the nearest room and looks around with the aid of his scorpion.

Jolga piles the bodies up in the courtyard, and proceeds into the nearest room. It is a barracks, with beds stuck in every possible bit of open spaces. It stinks of orcs, and there are fleas everywhere. A careful search reveals nothing of particular interest... dirty clothes, half-eaten food, and empty ale steins.

"Yah Zeke would you mind healing my wounds?" He smiles, ripping up one of the orcs shirts and wrapping up the cut on his arm. "Then we should all stick together and search room from room. Did those Orc and Gnolls have anything good on them?" He moves to look over the body's before Jolga can burn them.

Do we have any spells to save? If not should we just take 20 on perception room to room and if anything bad happens we'll take it from there?

hp=44/58 Happy to take one charge I don't need to be max. Maybe we should roll the healing for ourself for the wand? Just to speed it up and not let it all rest on one person.


There are a variety of healing options, so let's keep it simple and only roll if you are using one of them (on yourself or someone else). That makes it easier to keep track of charges.

Zeke gives Charles a look, and then shakes his head, tsking. "These wounds are bad, my friend. As a priest of Groetus, I think our god is trying to tell you something. After I patch you up with this wand, you should take it easy. Get some bed rest, and I will tell you all about the End Times that Are to Come." He looks over the messy and surely disease-ridden barracks and sighs. "Are we planning to take over these rooms?" he asks the group with distaste.

While everyone is gathered together, he will first channel energy, so everyone benefits. Then he will finish up with their wand of cure light wounds.

"What I need is for you or SOMEONE who can heal to actually pay attention. Sam isn't one to complain but you let Wulf, Ton, and me nearly die while you played with your guns. Keep healing," Charles says, indicating his javelin wounds.

I will have to examine him more carefully to be sure. Recklessness, turning on his companions, perhaps even delusions of grandeur, thinking his own actions more important than those of others. We need to get him someplace comfortable where he can rest." To Charles he says loudly, "Hang in there, my friend, we will see to your injuries as soon as we can, Groetus save you!"


Jolga goes into another side door, revealing a hallway, which wraps around several corners, slightly heading up. Soon, he finds himself on top of the balcony, next to Birdfood's corpse.

Ahead of you, looking into the building where Birdfood first came from, you see a homemade throne.
