Combat over and I think I can assume you are going to investigate the rest of the room.

The rooms to the north have fallen mostly into disrepair. Chucks of plaster hand grom the walls, exposing rough stonework beyond. Scattered furnishings that once outfitted bunkrooms, a kitchen, and even an armory lie scattered about in states of complete disrepair, and doors hang from hinges in the crumbling archways that lies between the chambers. "I think this might be the old hideout of the Silver Ravens during the civil war." Rexus says not entirely certain.

Jack can spot a small nest in the northeast corner that seems to ahve been used by a small humanoid creature, perhaps one of those you fought in the previous room, but not enough material remains in the nest to reveal more. You also see 3 small creates close to the enst that seems to ahve been undistrubed.

"This might be the silver raven's home base. If it is... there should be proof somewhere 'round here. Assuming it's the case..."

Meliora shakes her head. No, no, no sense getting paranoid until it's confirmed that this is the home base of the Silver Ravens.

"Anyways, I think we can all agree that Thrune and his ilk haven't figured this place out. Moreover, those pests upstairs mean this place's been in disrepair for quite a while."

Mel's the only one without armor so she probably had them... not that it mattered. I'm a-ok with selling them.

"So it's definitely the ravens..." Meliora massages her temples, before heading over to the scrolls and grabbing the ones for Misdirection and Whispering Winds. "The others aren't wizard spells... but these ones I should be able to jot in the spellbook for later. Seems like a good plan, right?"

But now, it's time to think again. She falls quiet, staring at the runes on the wall and then where the lemures were at.

"I'll help with things. I gave my word, after all." True, for her this is still just a lark of an idea so that she can get vengeance on someone who wronged her in a way that only questionably counts as a 'wrong' at all--but hey, someone needs to cast Color Spray on the fair folk. Why not her?

"Just... one thing's bothering me. The runes on the walls are invocations. Someone tried to open up a portal to Hell in the middle of the Silver Ravens' base. Considering the Lemures got here, I'd say it worked for a couple minutes."

"So... who summoned them?"

"Yeah so whats the next step Mr. Rexus? I can certainly help study those uh notes and things, im pretty good at puzzles and the like, though i only recognize the elven script on most this stuff.

She added as she slid the silver raven figurine into her belt pouch. The silver morningstar had looked cool too, though she was sure Miss Lena would get much better use from it. The silver would have bee....Silver!

Jack surreptitiously pats his crotch to make sure his manhood wasn't nibbled off by a grimple. Like Lena, he catches Meliora being less than honest and adds it to his mental databank. Mic and Lena seem to be the most forthcoming, dependable members of these new Silver Ravens. Canacha and Meliora share some traits: they're elusive about their pasts, more than a little quirky, and rather pretty. Not to say they didn't seem somewhat dependable, in their own way. Each warranted further attention.

When his turn comes to introduce himself to Laria, he does so with a courteous bow. "Jack Duncloak, at your service. I'm a Jack of a few trades, you might say: part-time gambler, guide, and guard. I'll never be rich but I make enough to scrape by."

That's true enough, though he's leaving a few things out; I'll roll a Bluff just in case.

"Girl team?

She blinked looking about as if realizing they were all girls for a moment... well almost all girls. She eyed Jack askance wondering if she missed something... Maybe he wasnt a pretty boy but an ugly girl? Its not like he/she had a tail to lift up and check like a cat. She frowned at the puzzle her fingers instinctively drumming along the abacus on her left hip. There was no math here to discover whether Jack was a boy or a girl.

Her eyes widened at the sight of the coffee.... I mean it wasnt mint tea or anything but a good cup of coffee was okay too... with sugar... lots of suger and a little cream or goat milk.

"Do you have any cream or goat milk for the coffee?"

She asked hesistantly, her eyes widened when she realized she hadnt introduced herself yet.

"Im Canacha, Im an inventor, Micheria is my friend! uh... Im something of a scholar too... with the Devil's Bells you know, Im totally gonna solve that riddle one day. Oh right... the Raven's um... It's not right... all those dumb laws and things changing. Like that protest was peaceful... well pretty peaceful... mostly. .. I think and he just sent in his strong armed Thugs to hurt people.... and dont even get me started on outlawing mint... mint?! Like Seriously How can you...."

She paused when she realized she was getting worked up and well into starting a tirade. She gaze a big sheepish smile.

"Yeah so.. because of those reasons and all."

She finished with a nod.

Laria looks to Micheria "Sorry you seem to have heard my name wrong it's Laria, but let's not get to much down to technicalities for now, I'm sure you'll learn it soon." she says as she leaves the room for a moment and comes back with a small pitcher with some milk in it. "I only have some cow milk I hope that is to your liking, it's hard to get fresh products from outside of Kintargo these days."

She smiles at Lena "So we have our very own rebel amoung us, I know about the cult of Milani in Kintargo but they ahve been very quite since the night of ashes, I hope they are alright but for now I can't help you find the Rose, only a milalite would know who he is."

Laria drinks her coffee while sitting deep in thought for a few minutes. "I should maybe explaine why I know of the cult, you see I'm a member of the Bellflower Network and as part of that movement I have made it my personal interrest to know as much as I can about other similarly aligned secret and not-so-secret groups operating in Kintargo. Sadly due to Barzillai's scorched-earth policy I've lost almost my entire information network, they have been killed off, arrested, or fled from the city leaving me virtually blind as a fixer.
But for now all I can offer you a bunkroom to sleep in and perhaps a hideout, the old tunnels beneath the coffeehouse has been used by Bellflowers for many years, but they have withdrawn from the city untill things settle down, unfortunately it's not really under my control at the moment."

Mic nods as Laria speaks and smiles at the mention of the tunnels.

"Tactical advantage in having tunnels, if they are no longer under your control who is controlling them now? We may have need of them."

"Truth be told I lend it out to a friend to store some smuggled silk, she went down to the tunnels a few days ago and hasn't emerged from there yet. But I don't have anyone at the moment to take a look at what has happened down there." Laria replies to Micheria looking a little troubled.

"The Bellflower Network..?" A network of slips who help other slips escape--halflings, she mentally corrects herself. "That makes way too much sense, and if we're planning a rebellion, we could definitely use the tunnels."

Meliora taps herself on the forehead, shutting her eyes as she thinks. Where would one hide a rebel group? The stables are no good as a hideout, they're too far into disrepair and people going to a place like that would gather attention too quickly to be any good. Having an ally in Laria would be helpful too...

"Maybe s'a bit forward of me, but I think I know what we're going to do tomorrow. Most of us are a little tapped out for the evening, but we need those tunnels, and you need someone to check on your friend. Seems like one of those mutually beneficial arrangements, or something. Any information you can give us about what may be down there, or your friend, or... anything, really, would be great."

"Since I don't know what is down there or if the place has been discovered by someone, I wouldn't want to send you down just to fall victim to whatever is hiding there. You can spend the night to fill you energy and daily casting abilities so you are prepared in case Thrune has discovered the place."
