Though the jinsul leader manages to duck under the second wave of nanites, he's not even slightly prepared for Antoine's followup rifle shot. It takes him straight through his central carapace and he collapses in a heap of hi-tech armor and weaponry! (Orange down)
Ivok lands an opportunistic attack on the approaching jinsul, and then strikes a second blow against it as well! Between the two attacks, the creature looks almost completely frosted over. Seems it won't take much more to bring it down for good!

Your comm device vibrates as Luwazi Elsebo echoes another reply. ”The Society has released a group of Starfinders whose minds were trapped in a virtual world, which released their bodies from stasis on Agillae-5. One of the survivors is Historia-6 of the Dataphiles!”
The lost Dataphiles leader disseminates information about the Scoured Stars to all teams across the fleet. Until the end of the ongoing mission, you can roll twice and take the better result each time you attempt a skill check to identify a creature or to recall information.

Neon Ten's wave of magic missiles pummels the badly chilled jinsul, shattering one of its legs and finishing the creature off! Meanwhile, both Al 2O3 and Sorami successfully land their respective rifle and pistol shots, though Sorami's is not quite up to her usual well-aimed standards!
With its leader and sole remaining ally killed, the last jinsul springs forward with mad fervor, plunging bladed legs at the android! The leg slices through a weak spot in his armor and scores a shallow cut. (Dealing 13 slashing damage to stamina)
Its mandibles part for just a moment as it strikes its blow, long enough to utter a few rapid syllables in a static-like tongue "ඔබ අවලංගු කරනු ලැබේ!!!"

Sev, Ivok and Antoine finish the last jinsul off (saving Neon Ten their casting of magic missiles) with a rain of focused fire and frosty doshko-ing. It collapses to the group and quickly expires.
As the heat of battle leaves you, you notice that the disembodied voice from the statue room has been letting out a long drawn-out shriek of anguish. Now that the jinsuls have been defeated, the shriek slowly tapers off into silence. You turn to face the statue and notice that a long crack now runs down the length of the many-legged statue...
---
It doesn't take too much more investigation to discover that the wards that once protected the side passages in the entrance chamber have dissolved. When you take a look inside those side passages you find dozens of gaunt and hollow-eyed Starfinders, who (after a bit of water and some encouragement) explain that their team had been trapped here for months behind the wards, with the voice drawing their members out one at a time to be sacrificed upon the altar.
Though the rescued Starfinder team is deeply traumatized by their suffering at the (figurative) hands of the voice, relief at having been rescued fills them with a desperate energy and they manage to hobble their way back to your ship and off world!
Another evacuation complete!
---
I believe Hmm is taking over from here with your next mission!

GM Hmm |

The Yellow Jinsul goes down under a barrage of Starfinder hits!
“Noooooooooooo!” The voice shrieks, and then the shimmering mystical defenses on the many narrow corridors fall. Out of them stumble people in ragged Starfinder uniforms, looking haggard and battered.
“This is a gift,” the Voice says, menacingly. “You’ve fed my Slumbering God some unexpected blood today, but he can feast on followers as well as captives. Still, I think it would be best if you leave these halls. The most expeditious way to do that is to give you what you were looking for — or what’s left of them anyway.”
The Starfinder survivors look weak and half-starved. “Is it true?” One lashunta asks you, clutching a shirren who can barely stand. “Are we rescued?”

![]() |

"Yes, let's get you out of here before any more of those creatures show up!" Neon Ten agrees. He helps move the group as best he can into the shuttle.
Once at his station in the shuttle, he messages the medical teams so they know what to expect.

Sorami prepares to shoot the last Jinsul and as she does so the creature falls. She looks around and slowly puts down her pistol.
"Those creatures are bad news. I don't know what beef they have with us, but they likely won't be open to parlay. Let's rescue these Starfidners and get the heck out of here, they obviously won't stop until we're clear of the system."
Sorami turns to the Starfinders in the hidden chamber. "I know it is difficult, dealing with such trauma, but we are still under threat of attack at any moment, please come with us as quickly as possible." Sorami begins to help usher rescued Starfinders out of the chamber and out of these literal hellhole.

GM Hmm |

“That does seem wise.” The lashunta agrees. On the way back to the fleet, the survivors tell you the grim tale of being trapped behind magical barriers, being fed irregularly, and asked all sorts of strange questions by the Voice. “It was curious at first, and then we decided that entertaining it was getting us nowhere, so it forced us to talk.” A human woman states.
“It would not shut up!” A kasatha nods.
“Every few weeks one of us was dragged out by demons as a sacrifice. We could hear their screams, but the mystical barriers didn’t let us shout out to them, or you. Thank you for coming for us!”
You deliver them, safe and sound, back to top med bays in the fleet.
SUCCESS!
Do you pick up supplies while there?

I remember that we can't use this loaned item in part 4, and our Hangout conversation suggests that we're not too far away from that, so...
(PS - Al still has the Mk 2 healing serum from earlier, which they will load into the first slot of their needler pistol)

GM Hmm |

EVACUATION MISSION 1: THE LAST OUTPOST
Fitch waits in the hangar bay, nabbing you just as you collect your last supplies from Radaszam. “We’re in a bit of a hurry, and I only have a few minutes before my children realize I’ve snuck away! Our agents recovered a beacon with important data about a Starfinder outpost on Agillae-1. Not long ago, our ships started receiving emergency signals from that planet, and all the messages basically say ‘we’re under attack’. It’s some kind of carnivorous creatures native to the planet, but that’s all we know. Your ship is ready—so please grab your weapons and hurry. And good luck!”
As the ship comes within range Fitch points at the screen as she screams, ”THERE! Land there!” Fitch points out a suitable landing spot not far from the outpost. Descending the ramp you are able to approach the outpost on foot. Not far from the Outpost you find a small group of Starfinders fending for their lives against many strange plant creatures.
