Ivok makes nervous glances about as he gives a light hissing laugh.

"Well do try to make friends with most things. Only some of them have tried to kill us. Even on my own it can be fun meeting with a friend for some sparring with a back and forth of blows. Hah."

"Right now I have been using my pike a lot. Just purchased it a few days ago and I have hit a lot of new friends with it. And some that were not friends. What sort of weapons do you have?" Ivok glances back at the altar, "They would seem to be a bit messy."

"Rather than interview? Maybe your god would like to keep sleeping?
I know many races that just love sleep. Normally I encourage people to be active, but you know, everyone is different, maybe your slumbering god should stay slumbering. If they weren't then they would need a new name! Ha~... heh ...ha."

Hi boys, girls and hosts! I'll be subbing in temporarily for Hmm in GMing this Special until she is once again running at full steam! While I might not be able to keep up her breakneck pace, I'll do my best :>

The disembodied voice takes on a pleased tone, answering Antoine with "When the slumbering god returns, you will enjoy the immense magnitude of his presence. You will hear him speak to you if you are worthy." and Ivok with "I bear no weapons, for none are needed in this place." The voice takes on a tinge of regret at that fact.

"The pike you bear is quite wonderful, though I am curious about the other fine weapons you and the others bring here. Their make is exquisite, like nothing within these walls."

I find it interesting that only the weapons interest you, not our other equipment.

I think the creature is just well hidden. Lots of dark spaces here.

Hearing of a lack of weapons doesn't fill the vesk with glee, but he makes a bare attempt to not let that show. "You know, that is good.
It makes me feel much safer knowing one doesn't need to carry a weapon on hand. This place certainly makes me feel ... so safe. Do you not need weapons because this place is protected by your god?"

His eyes wander the room again and once more they can't help but linger on the statue and the altar before it. "Se-," he starts to say before deciding that the friendship hasn't reached where one shares names so openly. "My brother, you said the statue isn't something known among the Pact Worlds, but do you recognize the title of this Slumbering God?"

Aside complete Ivok turns his attention back to the room again as he speaks openly to the voice.
"Oh I have trinkets here and there. Guns and other pieces I've had for months. Aside from that I would like to say I am my own best weapon. Put a lot of time in at the gym to keep myself fighting when I should be running. How long have you been here?"

The voice rings out a peal of laughter, growing more pleased "Ah, you mentioned you had a rescue mission. It was to rescue... Pathfinders? I am sorry to say you'll find no such individuals here. All I have here are these... Starfinders. But you need not worry about them, they are not what you seek. And in any case, they are mine now."

Looking a little embarrassed, Neon Ten says “Sorry, I meant Starfinders. Although if you did have any Pathfinders here we would also love to meet them. What little lore we have about them is absolutely fascinating...” Neon Ten suddenly realizes he is rambling and changes direction.

What is this voice after? It seems only interested in offensive capabilities — not defenses. What of this slumbering god? Is it somehow linked to the Izalguun as well?

“However, I don’t want the rest of you to feel left out.” A second large fiendish appears, this one more reddish in hue, right behind Neon Ten, Al, and Sorami. “Did you three mention any weapons? I cannot remember if you did, but here’s your chance to show them off!”

Meanwhile, the disembodied voice remarks, “Eat the spellcaster first, and then you may have the others for dessert.”

He cocks his head and continues, as if narrating a lecture. "It is likely, however, that a weapon adequately infused with positive energies, one that is--'good', if you will--is one most likely to inflict wounds to these creatures that are negative--'bad', if you will."

The jinsuls are huge armored bug thugs with cybernetic legs that are bursting all over with weapons like flame throwers and grenades! They race in to the temple, doing powerful leaps like fleas! The nasty-looking one in the orange armor is in the lead!

While I don't have current access to hangouts to double check, I saw Antoine sought to be botted earlier today. You guys are more familiar than I with how each member of the party prefers to fight, so if you'd like to bot each other, that'd help me a bit!
Antoine steps far enough down the stairs to get a clear shot at the interlopers, then fires away at the jinsul leader with his rifle while inspiring the rest of the party to strike! Imp. Get Em +2

The shot thuds into the leader's chitinous mouth-claws.

Sev's magical nanites connect with the lead jinsul's armored carapace, burning away an outer layer of armor and starting to dissolve the insides. Unfortunately, Al's rifle shot deflects off of one of its many many armored legs. Neon Ten on the other hand trusts in the power of unerring magical bolts of force, pummeling the leader solidly!

Ignoring his wounds, the leader of the jinsul strike team hefts a massive plasma rifle and readies to fire!

Sorami's brief bluff causes the jinsul leader to turn it frontal mandible to the side *just-so*, giving her the opening for a brutal attack with her sonic pistol! Wow, I'm not used to seeing these big damage numbers in SFS! But despite the sonic resonance almost tearing its body apart, the leader stays standing!

The leader (orange) levels its rifle at the most exposed enemy (Al 2O3) and fires a pair of shots. Perhaps its the fact that its who body is still vibrating and dissolving, but both bolts of plasma fly far from their intended target! His two allies rush forwards with their leg-blades at the ready. One scurries toward Ivok (provoking an AoO from you) and its leg blade tears a shallow cut in his side. (dealing 9 slashing damage, minus 5 from Enhanced Resistance?) The other leaps up the stairs to engage Al 2O3 in melee! Its own leg blade meets the android's armor and is deflected harmlessly.
