Wareagle |

The man has a great big room big enough for the three of you and even more! it is quite a pricey and fancy room but seeing as he never gets people to visit his inn he gives you a discount and tells you to spread word of his great inn room costs 100gp for a month this is probably the first time anyone has ever used it the room is kept well all the same and is quite nice he tells you he will have three beds in the spacious room right away.

Galstak |

Stak likes this. "Put four beds in there and you got a deal. The fourth bed can be a small one as if for a hafling or child. 100gp for month.
Stak digs out 25GPs and hands it to the Innkeep. "Hold the room. My friends and I wil return in a few hours with the remaining gold."
He thanks the innkeep and heads back to the Tavern.
What is the name of this Inn, wareagle?

Morphet |

Morphet will chip in what he can
tho i need to count...but I'm pretty sure he fairly broke
After securing the room, he will head with the others to the tavern for a drink or 2. While out He looks for and listens for any stories that might mention Grandma (Halily) When she was here and put down a necromancer. Pondering if the two events are related in any way, trying to recall the story Grandma told him about this place.

Galstak |

*Yuck!*
Having secured the room for the month, Galstak returns to the tavern to seek out Curvlk and Morphet.
Once he sees them, he wanders over to find many of those that he had met on the boat deck.
"Good news. I have secured a room for four of us and the Dirty Tankard. It is a little outside of town but we have a room for a month. 25 GPs a piece. What say your Curvlk and Morphet? We have room for one more if anyone wants to chip in."

Khalil Noyon |

Khalil breaks into wide grin and takes a long deep breath as he enters the crowded, smoky tavern filled with the smells of ale and people. It's as if he's come home again. Joining the others at the table, his heart actually skips a beat as Curlvk expresses an interest in learning how to play cards.
"Why certainly my friend, it's all really quite simple." Pulling a deck of battered cards out of his pocket he begins to explain the various suits, rules, and what not. After a few minutes, he turns to the strangers at the next table and says, "Excuse me good sirs, but my friend here would like to learn how to play cards, I've only a rudimentary knowledge myself and I was wondering if you could help me explain by playing a few hands?
Shuffling the cards he lets a few slip astray clumsily onto the table and with an embarrassed look gathers them back up. Before shuffling the deck again.
To act clumsy with the cards. Sleight of Hand 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
To convince the strangers to play. Bluff 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
To actually play. Profession (Gambling) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Morphet |

"Some evil has arisen from the Jarl's tomb area...Killing people and livestock alike. The people they sent there never came back, so they put out a call for help. That why you see boatloads of adventurers here. My Grandma was here many years back and put down a necromancer, It sounds like it could be more of the same ilk. Grandma passed recently and I am here to help honor her memories" as he touches the Amulet he got from his grandma stuff.
"Khalil deal me in on the next hand"

Spectrum |

"I see." Spectrum said with a slight smile. "Then it seems my arrival is most fortuitous. This may provide a means to fulfill my own needs while gaining financial recompense. Almost like having a sponsor for my research. I don't suppose you know of any groups looking for a wizard?"

Galstak |

Galstak sits down and immediately received a mug full of ale. He is told it is compliments of Spectrum. Galstak raises his mug in salute to the White Elf.
He listens carefully to the conversation, his uncomfort in speaking with people halting him from adding to it. But then the alcohol kicks in a he loosens up.
"Evil seems to be the right word, Morphet. I have heard that an army of undead are upon the Land of Song. They issue forth from a tall black tower somewhere among the frozen mountains. In their wake they kill all in the outlying villages, desecrate graves, and carry bodies back to their dark hold."
He pauses for effect letting his revelation sink in.
"Whether it is true or not remains to be seen."

Curvlk Wyrdon |

"I can chip in. Especially if this game is what I think it is. "
Curvlk wanders over to Khalil and pipes up in his goblin voice. "I be goblin, and us goblin be very good at games! Much better than any silly humans."Bluff to be appear a stupid goblin,1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Curvlk completely fails to hide his amusement at the faces of his opponents who can't believe they could actually be beat by goblin. He falls off his seat laughing as he attempts to drag his winnings over to his side of the table.

Kaiden |

I give the man 90 gp for the next month, and I give him a message to pass on to anyone who decides to be brave. mid quality room
"Let it be known that anyone who enters the room unlawfully will die. If I don't get back in 1 months you can have whatever is in there."
edit:I had to change my post. I don't have as much gold as I thought I did.
edit2: If I can get into Galstak's room then ignore the previous post.

Goblin with a 5 charisma fleeces a bunch of humans. My Divinations detect an imminant confrontation...

Galstak |

Stak has no problem with Kaiden chipping in on the room. If Spectrum needs a place also. Not sure what his plans are. I am sure we can make arrangements for five
"I have never faced anything of the kind. They most I have ever faced is some mountain animals and some troublesome goblins. Strange I have not had any problems with little Curvlk over there. He is nothing like his kind though."
He looks over to see the little guy grabbing a pile of gold. Apparently he is having some luck tonight.

Khalil Noyon |

Khalil continues to deal out the cards while maintaining the 'bumpkin' personality and showing complete astonishment at Curvlk's luck. "Gosh fella's, it looks like the gods are sure smiling down on the little guy tonight. My mum always used to say that beginner's tend to get all the luck."
To try and keep the fellows distracted from how much the goblin is actually taking in, and hopefully gain a little useful information, he tries to turn the conversation towards the Jarl's tomb and the rumors of undead harassing the countryside. In order to add a little more grease to the wheels, he hails the barkeep for another round at the table.

Farms and entire villages have been found abandoned and empty. The inhabitants have vanished without a trace.
The former jarls are not truly dead. They sleep until Ragnarok, when they will rise from the Valley of the Sleeping Jarls and do battle beside the gods.
Burial grounds have been desecrated and bodies removed from their graves and cairns, even the bodies of children.
Whether or not anything is heard is true but it seems to be all people talk about round these parts as of late.

Aksum |

Aksum will go to the humble-looking inn and try to barter with the innkeeper, offering to perform nightly in exchange for a room until they leave.
Any progress on this?

The first thing I'd like to do is go grab a few mugs of stronger dwarven (or giantish if they have it) ale, buying the mugs as well, and head out to hear this message. As I walk into the first bar I see, I'll put away my sword, and upon exiting with the ale, re-equiping and dragging my beloved sword all the way. After the message, I'll go out and purchase an extra set of cold weather outfits for everyone, just in case. Next. . .
After finding some fungus under her bed, Tok decides to sleep in her carriage.
If anyone wishes to use diplomacy with her, or something like that. Or try to convince her in Role Play itself... they can share her carriage
"Come now, luv, can't be lockin' yourself up all the time, lets go have sum fun. I heard there is this great place just on the out an' outs of the town." With a wink, "let's go see wha' we can see. Promise it will be warm and fun, and worth it."
In case you like Diplomacy:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Wareagle |

Aksum the man humble accepts the offer but advises you play outside the inn by the door for no ones ever in it and perhaps that method would attract customers.
A many-headed monster lurks just offshore, sneaking into villages at night and carrying away its victims
A ghostly cat with eyes of fire haunts the abandoned fields and farms.
A hermit lives in the valley of sleeping Jarls and has protected it for centuries.
Whether anything you heard was true or not you have no clue but this seems to be the word around town.

"I am not sure where they are leading us, but if it happens to have a bar, I am in."
"It most certainly does. . ., This way"
"So, you are a follower of Gorum? I would be interested in talking to you about him. I have been doing some readings but would still like to hear some first hand experiences from an actual practitioner."
"Books, huh? Not sure ye can get much from them. But I'll be happy to show you the ways of battle. There isn't much to it that can be taught. It's all in here," he says stabbing his sword straight through the cobblestone and pounding his chest, "and here." pointing at his stomach and head.

Tokara |

The Ghost Cat intrigues Tok and she ponders if she should go investigate, the hermit sounds promising as well. She asks the nearest local the hermit
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
She asks another local if they're sure it is a many headed monster doing the stealing and not Derros.

"Wha'ever you want luv. Or jus' about anything. I still remember your idea of a interestin' from that sultan's party of yours."

Aksum |

Aksum covers a weathered rock outside the inn with his blanket, and sits down with his krar. He plays a soothing tune, feeling weary after the long journey. Soon the song turns mournful as his mind wanders to the steamy jungles of his homeland and laughter of his family that he hasn't seen in years.

Wareagle |

As for the many headed monster few no other than that it an a group of undead raid local villages it only comes out at night.

Anything going on here with Khalil as well? I'm kind of tied up in it with out any moving role-playing in that I can't do much else while I'm playing a game.

Khalil Noyon |

Khalil continues to deal the cards until he gets the sense that it's time to move on before the pigeons catch on. After the last hand he picks up the cards and makes a show of getting up and acting like he's had a bit too much to drink. "Whoops." He says in a bright cheerful voice while swaying on his feet. "I'm not used to this strong ale you all have up here in the north. Guess I'd better be getting back to my room." He turns to the strangers at the table and with a shaky bow says, "Many thanks for your hospitality, friends. I'm sure my companion has learned a great deal tonight. Perhaps next time his luck will not run so favorably, but that is the way of such things." He then turns and with a quick hand sign to Curvlk and Morphet, letting them know he'll be waiting outside, he slowly staggers through the crowd and out the door.

Of course this assumes that one of the other players doesn't try to stop me as I leave

Galstak |

Stak will head back with Kaiden, considering there is nothing stronger than Ale around. Plus he wants to make sure the room is setup.
So in the one room there will be:
Galstak
Curvlk
Morphet
Spectrum
Kaiden
Galstak will collect the funds from Curvlk, Spectrum and Morphet. 20 GPs each.
"Mention to the innkeep that you are with Galstak and he will show you to the room." he tells his new acquaintances. He then departs with Kaiden walking a little tipsy due to the 4 ales he had.
Perhaps it was good I didn't get anything stronger he thinks to himself.
"So Kaiden, where do you hail from?"

![]() |

"A ghostly cat with eyes of fire, come on. You know that on my own it would squish me flat if it were dangerous." She says, begging like a child who wants a treat.
Assuming this is at me, . . . "No need to get all doey-eyed and pouty-lipped "pa-pa-pa pweezy" on me, girl, you know I can' say no to yur smile. You know I'll do it fer ya, jus' ta do it for ya, and it will be fun. Galstak, you interested in maybe seeing what the faith of Ol' Ironside is really all 'bout?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Curvlk Wyrdon |

The goblin wanders out of the bar with his new found coin and runs into Tokara and the large dwarf like creature who speaks of drinks and the glory of battle. "Curvlk win big at game for money! Curvlk be very rich now, but tired too. See you all in the morning? " The goblin seems to be slightly inebriated and rather tired, and among other effects, have reduced him to goblin-speak, his tone high and grammar rather poor.

Morphet |

Seeing Curvlk inebriated, Morphet wants to insure that no one gets any ideas of trying to get their money back.
Stretching, and yawning"Yes I'm tired too, Sleep sounds like a good idea my friend." Morphet heads back to the room with the goblin, and will stay awake on guard in the room , awaiting the others arrivals who he hopes didn't drink too much to help take watches.

Galstak |

Morphet heads back to the room with the goblin, and will stay awake on guard in the room , awaiting the others arrivals who he hopes didn't drink too much to help take watches.
You will find Galstak and Kaiden already back in the room. Galstak most likely asleep as he has not gotten much for the last three weeks. He snores loudly.

Khalil Noyon |

Stepping back into the open air, Khalil breathes deeply with a sense of contentment and satisfaction. I'd been couped up on that ship for entirely too long,he thought to himself. Chuckling over the variety of astonished looks as the little goblin raked in all those winnings, he spends a few moments listening to the melancholy tune being played by the krar player near the door.
He offers friendly waves to the others, as first Curvlk, then Galstak and Morpet step out of the tavern and walk away towards the inn.
Not feeling a bit tired himself, he wraps his cloak around his shoulders and finds a quiet, shadowed spot to wait a few minutes and make sure no one else follows the others.
As he's waiting, he recognizes the Aasimir, Tokara, making her way through the crowd and offers a friendly wave in greeting.
