Spectrum |
Spectrum shrugs on his way toward the cave. "It is of little consequence either way. If you can see further use for her, keep her alive. If she is more trouble than she is worth, execute her."
Luminarion |
Luminarion ponders for a bit. Then he says, "At the moment there is no need to rush. We can wait for the others to get back so they can provide their input before we do anything to Failure."
"As far as the wizard's spell book is concerned study it as much as you want, but please don't cast any spells that mimic channeling negative energy(*). That starts taking us into territory where my Goddess would want me to take official notice of enemy action."
(*) In other words, spells that have the "[evil]" descriptor. I simply wasn't quite sure how to word that in game world terms that the characters would use and recognize.
Spectrum |
"Understood." Spectrum says simply to Luminarion's request.
Galstak, can we actually get that described? I was deliberately not reading the things that were taking place away from my character. I'd like to hear it in your own words so we can ask questions appropriately.
Khalil Noyon |
Khalil walks back into camp behind Galstak and Egil. Seeing the others gathered around the big barbarian, he steps up to try and answer some of their questions.
"The trail winds up and around to the other side on the mountain. It's rough going, but not a bad climb and doesn't take too long. I think we did it in about thirty minutes. Eventually, we ended up at a good sized ledge that overlooked a valley. Place was a little odd, a big weather-worn statue sat at one end, with a couple of wooden barricades facing out from the cliff."
The young man frowns a bit as he pauses in thought, "That's one of the odd things, those barriers weren't blocking the pathway, but were set to protect from attack coming from the air or up the cliff."
Shrugging his shoulders he moves on with the tale, "Egil, thought the place was an old center of worship, and it could be. There was another smaller path leading up toward the summit and into that dark mist which could be hiding a temple or altar of some sort. We thought about checking that out, but figured it might be best to get back instead."
Turning to Galstak, he says, "Did I miss anything? I saw you taking a closer look at that statue, was there something you recognized?"
Galstak |
"There were definite religous connotations to the complex. Something infernal or evil. A heaviness to the area. But it looked as though the complex itself was pretty old. The were some dark clouds forming on the mountain top so we did not stick around fearing getting caught up in bad weather."
Galstak looks to Egil to see if he missed anything.
