Stigwold Mæch'Hæmmær |
<Stiggy to L9. Bringing it to Jag Poon.>
"Yer pretty wee fer a hobbo, Jig. Huff, huff. That feckin' run amost killed me."
Swing one: 1d20+6=17, 1d10+5=7
Fumble?
Riese's Altered Form |
Riese will stride to the edge of the balcony (I24) and targets as many foes as possible with a fireball without scorching his friends(can't figure out where everyone is). The 20' spread should hit a bunch of foes specifically I want to target the casters. 6d6=33 damn-near max damage, reflex 18 for half.
"Imbelia Pyrrok de'flar!!! See if you can cast while sucking flame you kobold-lickers!!!"
Last fireball guys, back to firebolts and scorching rays...BTW, I should be able to follow along better now, holidays are backing off a bit...
Altai Iscarni |
If you drop it in the LM 4/5 intersection you hit Old Black Robes, Black Platemail, Red Lizard and Jag Doom. As an added bonus, the blast also hits the four cloning vats and (probably) a bunch of Jag Clones - and Stig is juuuuuust outside the blast zone. Oh, and Old Black Robes and Black Platemail need to make some seriously hard concentration checks to keep casting their spells. Perfect!
dungeonmaster heathy |
The fireball goes off hard.
The guy in black plate slumps dead.
The necromancer's clothing is burnt off of him but for a loinclout; he looks much like Anakin at the end of the Revenge of the Sith, but he's still up.
The lizardman and Jag doom look somewhat the worse for wear, but are still fighting.
Now, their turns...
dungeonmaster heathy |
The necromancer suddenly becomes invisible.
The lizardman runs to o20.
The elf that is a black wolf bites Elgan; 5 h.p. in damage.
The blonde girl walks over to p23. As she comes around the side of the statue, now she is a hideous cackling hag, with green skin and talons like knives. Tangled in her hair are animal bones, and her lowcut frock shows a bony chest. She touches Elgan in....a very bad place indeed......d.c. 18 fort save for Elgan or he loses 6 points of Strength. "I like you, handsome elf," she says.
sorry about the sexual harrassment...sheeeesh!
Jag Doom smites Stiggy mightily with his bastard.
Stiggy takes 32; the cut on his head gushes blood into his left eye.
Stiggy feels like his skull must have been broke a little bit.
"Feeling dizzy, lardgut?"
Round 3!!!!!
Altai Iscarni |
Altai drifts effortlessly through the air, maneouvering closer to Stig and Jag Doom. While doing so, he casts a spell...
Fly to M15 before casting Haste. Now, the way I read the spell's description, it says that it affects "one creature/level, no two of which can be more than 30 ft. apart". As Stig is 30' from Gittik, can I center it on the raging hobbit and include the other guys in the wolf-melee, or is Stig too far away from Elgan and the dire wolf (he's about 40' away)? I would argue the former, but it's up to Heathy.
Anyway, I can speed up 6 targets. They are, in order, Gittik, the dire wolf, Elgan, Stig, Beldan and myself. If Stig is ineligible for the Haste, Riese gets it instead.
Finally, as the spell gives me one extra attack with a weapon, I zap Red Lizardman with my blasting wand. Attack roll 12+5=touch AC 17, concentration check 12+11=23; he gets to soak up 7 points of cold damage.
dungeonmaster heathy |
If Gittik is hasted, the wolf and elgan are it, or Altai and Gittik, considering Altai's position. If Altai is closer, he could get all of them and himself.
Bel, Stiggy could get haste together (but not yourself) unless you got closer; your fly is 60 feet and you can do that.
or
Riese and yourself, but Stiggy and Beldan are too far away from Gittik, as is Riese. He's 20 feet up in the air, as well as 25-30 feet away.
dungeonmaster heathy |
essentially, draw a 30 foot radius circle around any recipient of the haste spell, centered on that recipient. All other recipients have to be in that 30 foot radius circle, as well as an identical 30 foot circle from every other recipient of the haste spell. Additionally, Altai has a good 60 feet of fly, so he can easily get into a position to haste Beldan, Stiggy, and himself.
Gittik |
On the elf/wolf: Right hand attacks: To hit: 7 + 11 = 18, 7 + 11 = 18, 17 + 6 = 23; damage (in the same order) = 4 + 6 = 10, 4 + 6 = 10, 4 + 6 = 10. Left hand attacks: 5 + 11 = 16, 4 + 6 = 10 = miss. Damage = 3 + 3 + 3 = 9.
I'm a little confused about position - can I 5' step to get to the hag next round?
dungeonmaster heathy |
Yes you can! The elf falls, and you can step into space o22 which his fallen form occupies.
Gittik swings his swords in an amazingly fast blur, shredding the elven druid down. He steps up (if that is his wish) to challenge the crone who is wrongly handling his comrade.
"You're a cute little fellow. Would you like to visit my gingerbread house?" she asks the hobbit. She's obviously mad.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Stiggy takes him in the gut hard with the first blow. There's a big "whumf!" out of the hobgoblin's mouth as his diaphragm separates, and his wheezing heavy breathing is full of as much blood as air.
The hobgoblin keeps his head on victory, though; the next lunge is hammered, scolded down. There's a feeling you can't touch this guy somehow; he's too good. The first hit was a lucky one.
Beldan; Riese; Elgan left.
Riese's Altered Form |
Down below,....to dispel chaos...
LizMan at o20
Gittik at 022 (just stepped there)
Bigwolf at mn 22-23
elgan at p22
GreenHag at p23, between statues at O and Q 23.Riese is up topside, at i19 (I thought; i24 is at the back).
Sorry, yeah, I meant I19 when I posted.EDIT- Are all the baddies under the balcony? If so Riese goes back down the stairs and to H24 before targeting his chosen foe.
Riese eyes up the lizardman...."You look cold, poor fella. Perhaps I can warm you up! Imebelia furtion de'flar!!!" 5d6=18 damage from Riese's Firebolt dc18 reflex for half."There, you feelin' all better now?"Altai Iscarni |
Sure, why not? Here we go:
Beldan sneaks forward, preparing to strike the oblivious hobgoblin warlord.
Move to M7. Move silently 11+15=26. Listen (in case Old Black Diapers moves carelessly) 12+1=13.
Elgan faces off against his new foe.
Fortitude save 13+6=19, so no STR loss. Bite attacks against the green hag: Attack 1: 12+6+1(haste)=AC 19, damage 5+3=8. ttack 2: 13+6+1(haste)=AC 20, damage 3+3=6. He then takes a 5' step to P21.
The huge wolf strains to reach the green-skinned woman, but can't quite get there. Annoyed, it decides to take out its frustrations on the red-skinned lizardman instead.
5' step north, which places it at MN 21-22. Attack 1: 15+11+1(haste)=AC 27, damage 6+10=16, trip atempt 12+11=23 (remember he's Large). Attack 2: 12+11+1(haste)+4? (if the lizard is prone now)=AC 24 or 28, damage 6+10=16, trip (if Red Lizard resisted the first one) 13+11=24.
The baddies are up next, unless Tenser does something useful. So, the baddies are up.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Jag Doom swings twice, connecting the first time with a mighty blow to the dwarf's midsection...spraying blood from his mouth with the effort; 16 h.p. in damage.
The necromancer appears again at k7. He casts and a lightning bolt fires into Altai. 23 h.p. damage; d.c. 16 reflex for half.
The lizard man is shaken about like a little rag doll by the massive wolf. He perishes.
Elgan can't seem to bite the old creature; she's too quick and wily.
The greenhag becomes invisible with a flicker; Gittik can't seem to get a free blow on her.
(defensive casting)
Beldan wishes he was one step closer.....gnng! He doesn't hear anything out of the dead guy in black plate armor.
NEW ROUND!!! EVERYBODY'S ATTACK!!!
Altai Iscarni |
Owowow! Missed the save.
Gritting his teeth, Altai fires back at the reappeared wizard.
Move to M11. Casting Magic missile at Burned Diapers. Damage 4+4+4=12. As my extra action, I zap him with my combat wand. Attack roll 11+5=touch AC 16, concentration check 12+11=23, damage 6. Beldan's action depends on whether the guy's still standing.
