“Gah! Oh sweet Pelor … After that,” Beldan gestures to Stiggy and Riese, his other hand shielding his eyes, “this Isle of Dread place sounds like a breeze. Hmmm … I think I heard about that place … filled with wingless dragons and giant lizards, and pretty island girls in coconut shell swimsuits …”

I'll drop a Detect magic on it, just to check it out.
It's faint to moderate divination magic; also some modicum of necromancy involved.
It isn't.....the standard magic item out of the dungeonmaster's guide exactly (nor is it my invention; I see no guidance from the books for this thing so this is my interpretation of what detect magic would show).| dungeonmaster heathy |

Riese's got this neato item called an Artificer's lens which allows him to cast Identify once per item. What does he see?

It seems to be a "hag's eye." A coven of hags can create one and scry through it.
You've been on "television," of a sort.
That's what I thought. Darn hags.
"Break it - it's a spying focus. Unless..." Altai wanders back a bit until he gets to the dragon carcass and the ghoul chewing away at it. "Got you a nice shiny ornament in exchange for the stuff you found for us in the dragon's stomach. Now, just keep munching away."
He returns to the group. "Hags can only have one hag eye, if I remember correctly. If we had broken it, they would just have made a new one. Instead, they can scry away on some dank ghoul hole to their heart's desire." He flashes a smug grin. "Now, let's see where the doors behind the altar lead."
How about the door at R1, just to take one?
Also, just to remind ourselves, we found 5 fist-sized, unworked diamonds; worth about 500 gold each in the T-rex's stomach.

Yeah; there's one on the wall.

"Um ... at least, since you're shorter than the guy who was wearing it, some of the plates sort of overlap, so you can't see too much flesh. Course, you're wider too and - Pelor, don't flex like that!"

don't worry, I won't go traphappy on you guys.
There's three doors one at 10 feet, 30 feet, and 45 feet away from the bend in the hallway...
| dungeonmaster heathy |
This room....appears bigger than on the map. It's 15 feet wide from east to west, and 60 feet long.
There's large stain-glassed windows on the west wall; the misty outside shows through, as does a little sun. (not a mistake).
Theres a 40 foot long, 5 foot wide table down the middle of the room.
There's a door on the east wall halfway down, and a door on the south wall.
At the far end of the table, on a throne, sits a creature, manlike in form, though he seems to be a patchwork quilt of the macabre.
On either side of him, on the wall, is a suit of statuary plate armor
holding a halberd.

"This is... beyond weird. Let's regroup." Altai backs out of the door and closes it quietly. "The thing in there could be anything. However, the real reson we came here was to kill Jag Doom and destroy his army. Let's tear apart the cloning machines first; after that, we can go back and deal with the Corpse King in there. Or just go home."

"Cloning machines?" Beldan scratches his head. "Was that all those glass tubes and stuff in the other room that you blew up with the fireball? Or are we talking about something else?
"Either way, yep, this place is sure weird. Some patchwork looking guy just sitting there on a throne..." the young man shivers. "That's creepy. We're not doing too badly out of this place loot-wise though. I don't mind sticking it out for a bit longer..."
| Beldan Vale |
“Yeech,” comments Beldan, looking at the green gunk.
“So what now? Do we head back to the swamp,” he gives a slight, involuntary shudder, “and let them know that the big bad hob is dead? Or do we go and see what’s what with that tattered king?” The guy on the throne wasn’t wearing yellow or anything was he?
| Elgan Dreadwood |
Wow! Thx for the DMNPC ride guys! I think you guys roll better than I ever did! What exactly did we each end up with? I saw the suit of shapeshift armor for Elgan, but did I miss anything else?
Elgan, having recovered from his near-hag experience, peeks through the door way at the tattered man on the throne.
"If'n ah remembeh's raht, deh constructs is mostly immune tah magics. W'ed havta take 'em all down deh hard way. Which is prolly ok since deh wizzies is mostly outta heavy stuff by now. Prolly. But deh lil' princess iz outta favors fer deh day, an ah'm light on heavy healin' mah-se'f. If'n we iz gonna do dis, we needs tah do it fast an' hard. An' if'n sumone gets hurts he needs tah git outta deh way cuz we maht not be able tah puts him back tagedder agin!"
Ah man, I've missed that! ;)

Also, in addition, Stig'll sell off some of his weapons and armour and put the gold in the party coffers. We don't know what yet, though.
Don't forget the spellbook and what spells are in it, they sell well!

PHB2 has Blade of blood, seeking ray, kelgore's grave mist and I think Spectral hand. Kelgore's (Riese's) grave mist is a fairly good spell. I am gonna scribe Grave Mist, Wall of Fire, and Seeking Ray(4d6 ray of flame, that if it hits gives me a +4 to hit that target with any other ray spells, basically a tracer-spell with damage.). Kelgore's Grave Mist is a decent area of effect spell that saps life from creatures over time. I'll post the details if you need me to.
