Beldan Vale |
Beldan sneaks out to B9 Stealth: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (17) + 33 = 50 then levels and unloads his crossbow at the wounded translucent skinned dude in E15 in what is hopefully a sneak attack.
1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 Damage: 1d8 + 11 + 1d6 + 7d6 ⇒ (5) + 11 + (5) + (6, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 3) = 46 plus 6 bleed plus 2 strength. If they’re resistant to electrical that is the 1d6 in there.
Mothman |
Stiggy's in B9, but....
Bel sneak attacks e15, but the bolt bounces off his armor.
Almost......almost....
Sorry meant B19.
Damn, that is the second round I have posted a stealth roll ahead of an attack roll, got great for the stealth and crap for the attack roll. Gotta mix it up next time.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Ogay;....
son got an infected cuticle on his toe; he's coming back from the Doctor and so I gotta go pick up some antibiotic prescription.
As it's.....9:38 p.m. where I am, I reckon that means I'll be seeing youse guys tomorrow.
Now I'm off, to haunt the 24 hour Walgreen's.
Elgan Dreadwood |
How 'bout DE 9-10? Gotta love Elgan - a level 13 full-progression spellcaster who never casts a spell higher than level 2.
Thenkyew, Thenkyew,... heh. Actually, he casts them, it's just usually either stoneskin, or summon spells is all. (And I was trying not to make it any more complicated just yet!) ;P Actually, since I admit to not even trying to draw a map yet, do we need a wall of stone anywhere? :)
Altai Iscarni |
"Hey, Gjetost! That globe is resistant to magic! However, it's not resistant to regular damage. Toss some rocks through it and keep whoever's hiding inside it busy. In the meantime, I have a plan..."
Altai slugs a potion of invisibility and tiptoes down to F10. Stealth 12+12=24.
Claw the Golem |
Gjetost shoots a quizzical look towards Altai, but the wizard is already gone. With a resigned shrug, he starts firing off a barrage of rocks towards the glowing globe.
No move. Attack 1: 12+11+1(haste)+3(bard)=AC 27, damage 5+16+3=24.
Attack 2: 10+6+1(haste)+3(bard)=AC 20, damage 7+16+3=25.
Attack 3(bonus from Haste): 10+11+1(haste)+3(bard)=AC 25, damage 4+16+3=23.
What he's doing here is essentially covering fire - he's shooting the Large rocks blindly into the Globe. As such, there should be a significant miss chance due to full concealment. Having said that, those are big rocks, and the globe's not that big... ;P I'll leave the adjudication of the hits and misses up to the GM; all I want is to mess up the spellcasting of anyone hiding inside.
Claw continues his lumbering approach.
Triple move to DE 7-8.
Is Kruelaid back, or should I take Stig's turn as well?
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
For some reason I can't place this song. I assume it's not this one? ;P
Actually its a weird one-an English translation of the original Japanese Speed Racer theme song.
Pip looks for a good target
OK, sword is holding the +3 bonuses up for me so I am full attcaking with the bow Rapid Shot/Many Shot/Arcane Strike/Deadly Aim
First arrow (second damage is manyshot arrow-an auto hit if first hits): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 211d8 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 171d8 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Rapidshot arrow (1st atk): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 201d8 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Second arrow: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 301d8 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Rapidshot arrow (2nd atk): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 141d8 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
I'm kinda confused in the fog of war, but I will pepper one of the mummy intestine dudes if they are nearby. also, apologies if I did this whole feat chain in error. I'm perty sure this is how it works, but I am not that good with alla this cypherin' an such :D
dungeonmaster heathy |
I would say the gutboy in a13 would be the most logical choice, given your position.
The second arrow hits the fogger; he's pretty flippin shifty and hard to peg, but he does get an arrow in him from the McPipster.
woah; you AND Beldan caught a case of suckrollitis...I was like "how are these guys still alive two rounds later?.....owell, the behirs both cacked quick off of one spell and a giant bowler.....

Yah I was like 'Ready to become a porcupine dude! and I saw the rolls and was like, whaa? I couldn't hit a zombie with those rolls, LOL. Man, but if I had hit, the damage ...
Mothman |
So anyway ... Stig waddles (charges) to B12 and lays the smack down on the ugly guy in A13. He’ll power attack with the earthbreaker. I think I need to factor in inspire courage of +3, haste bonus of +1, charge bonus of +2 ... can’t think of anything else.
Attack: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (8) + 26 = 34 Damage: 2d6 + 31 ⇒ (2, 6) + 31 = 39
Elgan Dreadwood |
Right, so I'll set up a couple of attack rolls here for when Elgan gets a turn to whale on sumthin' in Treeform. He gets 2 att/rnd, plus one from haste (if full att?) and I'll try to factor in all the backup band's bonuses! ;P If I'm out of touch again, and one of you sees a chance for a spell, he'll cast it for you! And don't forget he can swap spells for healing or summoning as needed at will.
2 rnd worth of hitting, with bard bonuses and amulet of flame/elec added to dmg;
Rnd 11d20 + 15 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 15 + 3 + 1 = 231d8 + 13 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 13 + (3) + (4) = 211d20 + 15 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 15 + 3 + 1 = 301d8 + 13 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 13 + (5) + (4) = 301d20 + 15 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 15 + 3 + 1 = 291d8 + 13 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 13 + (5) + (4) = 23
Rnd 2 1d20 + 15 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 15 + 3 + 1 = 391d8 + 13 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 13 + (6) + (2) = 251d20 + 15 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 15 + 3 + 1 = 201d8 + 13 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 13 + (5) + (3) = 261d20 + 15 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 15 + 3 + 1 = 301d8 + 13 + 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 13 + (5) + (6) = 31

Attack: 1d20 + 26 Damage: 2d6 + 31
Stiggy hits, and does some hardcore damage with his earthbreaker.
The little dwarf next to him giggles, drooling, and starts scooting away from the fight. His legs are shackled to a 2 foot long iron bar, the ends of which are at both ankles; he can barely walk trussed up thusly, much less lend a hand.dungeonmaster heathy |
Elgan's able to engage the one at e15; he moves 20 feet up to de 13-14 and attacks once, although it's a miss.
A 18 full withdraws from melee with Stiggy, moving back to a17; he looks at Beldan there. No Aoo.
E 15 withdraws from combat with Elgan; full withdrawal, elgan gets an aoo with his reach, dealing 30 h.p. of damage.
he moves to f 21.
F16 shoots Elgan with an arrow once, 13 h.p. in damage; (this hasn't been corrected for d.r. or iron/barkskin or any of that good stuff). and then that one withdraws to f22, knocking the dwarf in that square on the ground.
A telltale flash of brimstone.....a summon monster spell has gone off.
A brachiosaurus appears at the BCDE 18-21; it's not ON Beldan but he's standing next to one colossal treetrunk of a leg.
It charges down the hallway, ending up in bcde 2-5.
The following are trampled by the brachiosaurus:
Beldan, Elgan, Stiggy, Hnoss, Claw, and Gjetost.
Each of them takes 28 h.p. in damage;
each of them can either
a) roll a 32 reflex save to take 1/2 damage, or
b) take the damage like a man and do an aoo on the Jurassic beast, with a -4 to hit penalty.
Hnoss takes the damage and aoo's, stabbing it with her longsword as it smashes her a bit.
Groups' attack. Welcome to Jurassic Park. It blows a big gob of snot as it sneezes on Stiggy.....
Claw the Golem |
AoOs coming up!
Stig: 12+24+3(bard)+1(Haste)-4(Power Attack - I dunno if Furious Focus helps on AoOs)=AC 35, damage 11+16+3(bard)+12(PA)=42.
Claw: 11+16=AC 27, damage 19+8=27.
Gjetost: 11+19+1(Haste)+3(Bard)-4(Power Attack)=AC 30, damage 13+16+3(bard)+12(PA)=44.
EDIT! Blah! I forgot to factor in the -4 mod to attack a trampling creature. So they hit ACs 31, 23 and 26 instad, respectively.
Altai Iscarni |
Looks like I forgot the stupid map back home. It only affects Altai a little, though.
Altai keeps tiptoeing forwards. As the gargantosaurus appears, he mutters a quick divinatory spell and keeps looking for the hidden spellcaster.
I'll cast See invisible before moving 40' further south. Stealth check 11+12=23.
Vattnisse |
Stig charges the weirdo in F22 and Cleaves him and the guy in F21. With Haste running, he has more than enough movement despite his heavy armour. He ends up in E22
Cleave attack on F22: 19!+24+3(bard)+1(Haste)=AC 47, confirm roll 12+24+3+1=AC 40, damage 9+16+3(bard)+12(PA w/Furious Focus)=40x3=120.
Cleave attack on F21: 11+24+3(bard)+1(Haste)=AC 39, damage 10+16+3(bard)+12(PA)=41.
Claw the Golem |
Claw and Gjetost turn on the massive reptile.
Claw: 5' step to DE 5-7. Attack 1: 11+16=AC 27, damage 16+8=24. Attack 2: 10+16=AC 26, damage 15+8=23.
Gjetost: No move (he's in FG 2-3 now after the trample). Attack 1: 10+19+1(Haste)+3(Bard)-4(Power Attack)=AC 29, damage 11+16+3(bard)+12(PA)=42.
Attack 2: 10+13+1(Haste)+3(Bard)-4(Power Attack)=AC 23, damage 10+16+3(bard)+12(PA)=41.
Attack 3(bonus from Haste): 9+19+1(Haste)+3(Bard)-4(Power Attack)=AC 28, damage 9+16+3(bard)+12(PA)=40.
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
Pip goggles at the new massive beast
"Great googly mooglies!"
He swings his bow over, his sword levitating by his side and cranking out the tunes
OK, Porcupine on big armed lizard
First arrow (second damage is manyshot arrow, autohit if first arrow hits): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 321d8 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 211d8 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Rapidshot arrow (1st attack): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 261d8 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
Second arrow: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 201d8 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Hasted attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 231d8 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
Turns out rapidshot only gives you one extra attack, not one per attack..

Regardless, they all hit; the thing's still alive, but has taken some considerable damage so far.

Cleave attack on F21: 11+24+3(bard)+1(Haste)=AC 39, damage 10+16+3(bard)+12(PA)=41.
F22, with one swat, goes from uninjured to a greasy spot on the wall.
F21 lives, but is pretty injured.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Claw and Gjetost turn on the massive reptile.
Claw: 5' step to DE 5-7. Attack 1: 11+16=AC 27, damage 16+8=24. Attack 2: 10+16=AC 26, damage 15+8=23.

Attack 3(bonus from Haste): 9+19+1(Haste)+3(Bard)-4(Power Attack)=AC 28, damage 9+16+3(bard)+12(PA)=40.
Claw grabs the thing by the tail and rips the tail off.
A torrent of blood geysers 20 feet, and it dies.Gjetost can re attack something else if he wants; it's dead before he moves.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Pip; Gjetost can reassign attacks since the brachiosaurus died at Claw's mangling.
Pip can shoot the guy at a17 if he wants; Altai's in front of the one at f21, so it wouldn't be prudent.
So, Pip, Gjetost to call redo's, Beldan, and Elgan are up to bat. Elgie rolled some attacks allready; somebody want to move him?

Gjetost will charge the mook in A16. One attack only (the first one) - it hits AC 31 and does 42 points of damage. Gjetost ends up in BC 16-17.
Elgan should engage the guy being abused by Stig. He'll move down to DE 18-19 and punch the freak once, using one of the attack rolls posted above (no idea which one, though).
