Laughing a bit, Derra spoke up saying to the bard, "That would have been me. But I was talking about having taken flea baths as a cub. Arrre you a followerrr of Shelyn as I am?"

She raised a glass to the minstrel.

"Not at all. You your companion may sit down and join me," she gestures with a hand and a warm smile, "Kirian, Kirian Ophelia at your service, humble traveling pastor and servant to Erastil. Why such events bring out the oddest of folk?"

Sylvan:
"I agree with Milord Medvyed... I know so little about the Elven peoples... it will be a great honor and learning experience to learn what my elven heritage holds for me to explore... if you would not mind relating to me of such things, Milady Taenweth?"

Taenweth listened to the nobleborn Gird's reply and was pleased enough by it. He seemed a polite and considerate man.

When he stood and openly invited all those to draw near and become acquainted, her dark brow rose and she could readily see nobility's hand in his undertaking and manner. He knows how to draw people to him. Perhaps he has ambitions to lead. As she waited to see if any would take him up on the invitation, she made note to ask him which Elves he had spent time with and learned from.

Taenweth picked up on the tall man's words to Fenn the Younger. There was wisdom there and she respected it because at the very least it would stop the tears and recriminations and at the most change the boy's mindset and perhaps save his short life.

"You are a holy man, Master Herger. Have you always felt a duty to serve your god? This Erastil you worship is common in the River Kingdoms and I have heard of him, but do not possess intimate knowledge of his domains. I have heard him go by the title, Stag God, but for me there is only one Stag Lord and that is Cernunnos. I suppose being nature gods they have a common purpose and so may possess an affiliation." She considered the holy man silently before continuing. "The boy, your son I suppose, will he be joining the party if you are chosen or will you leave him with kinsmen?"

He paused and looked to his son...

"Go on one more wont hurt you i suppose. See if they have any pipe tobaco for sale."

He began sending the lad on an errand clearly to get him out of earshot.

He paused as his son returned...

"Thats a good lad,"

He began with a smile before he stroked his beard.

"He's decent hunter for his age, and a fair shot with a bow if it comes to it, he wouldnt be a hindrance on the road."

He finished finally getting the youth to smile.

Her eyes were fixed on the elder and she barely blinked. And then she finally spoke, "He will learn from you and that is a boon to a child. That you will not abandon him is admirable. Alas, the wildlands can be a dangerous place even for a hunter with bow. And not just from wild creatures but those who would say they are friend and prove otherwise. I meant no offense, I was just trying to learn your name. Taenwith it is then.

Andreas looks down at his arm when Taenwith touches it. His words are lower in volume but hold still that polite neutral tone.
My words were not meant to enrage...merely to inform. Aggression in this room could lead to a misunderstanding. Many in here may not have your resolve to such childish behavior. We need to pull together and be able to work as a team, not antagonize those that will possibly work with you. I do hope that he is just eager, and I wish him luck tonight.

The Elven rogue understood the intention, but believed the gnome would not be pleased.

"I am not offended." Otherwise the offender would be without tongue. The latter was uttered only in her mind for to say such a thing in the Human world would be ill-advised. She had nothing against Andreas, for he was amiable enough and attentive. Anyway, she didn't want to cut out his tongue for he had caused no offence. It was simply in her nature to act against such transgressions or was it that she was taught to retaliate by her parents and brother...

Andreas:
Andreas, do you mean to be misspelling Taenweth with an 'i' in your posts? ;)

"My resolve?", the remark made her smile. She could be quite chaotic in emotion and was only tempered by training, presence of mind and age. Not all battles were worth fighting. "Over my years, I have seen more unbridled vitality. And he corrected the issue with my hair, so there was nought to anger me. I am prone to a fierce temper when it is warranted." A short melodic laugh followed as if to minimise the statement. "Perhaps Master Random should have turned my hair red." And again, she was making jest and hoped the cavalier could see it in her face and stance.

As Andreas addressed some of the newer arrivals, Taenweth discreetly responded to Pyros' new counter,

In Elven to Pyros:

"You believe me wise, well then, have at it, and admire freely, Master Pyros."

The conversation was flowing fast and furiously around her and she was attempting to address all the speakers. She hadn't talked so much in her life!

Gird of House Medvyed seemed to be inspiring the bard into an epic oratory and Gage eagerly responded in jest. How much valour could drums possess? She felt that Gage could certainly embellish and entertain.

Taenweth let the males speak among themselves for a moment and her eyes roamed about the tavern, wondering if she was the only Elf present this night.

Gage's "chicken thieves" remark arrives just as Mamise is biting a chicken wing and makes her chuckle. "Thieves, deceivers, seducers and all kinds of scoundrels, I've heard the tales and I assure you, I would be the first not to trust a kitsune outside of a forest village." She turns to look at Andreas, conjuring a brief explanation of the uncommon character traits of her race for him and those around. "There's some sort of a dual nature in our race: some are highly bound to tradition, live deep in the woods, stuck to a rigid social hierarchy, while others feel a reckless wanderlust that leads them to live their life on the road, ever moving and shifting. Myself, I'm somehow of both worlds. I fled my own home, due to some... disagreement with the village elders, but I stayed a long time with the Vorvani, and here I am, looking for a new place to settle."
At Gage's offer, her eyes light up and her ears visibly flick upwards in genuine enthusiasm. "Ooooh, Master Gage, tales are among the best gifts one could bestow! Please start narrating, and then I shall reciprocate, a tale for a tale! Do you know Carmilla, the Rose-Killer? Or, on a lighter note, The Most Deplorable Story of Tasteless Egwan?"

Once done speaking with Constable Hull the short woman wonders over to the bar to collect, "Whatever you would recommend, please." Once armed with a little liquid courage she before looking around the room. Oh furry people... I will keep my hands to myself. This will be only drink I guess.

Adjusting the weight of the bag in her hand before walking over to the noisy table. A wide grin forms when she hears the mention of stories. Putting on a friendly smile, "My apologies for interrupting but you mentioned stories and that is sort of my goal. Do you mind if I sit in and listen? I am Regina Caro by the way."

The human woman standing before you asking to join in is just over five feet tall with pale skin. Regina has dark brown eyes and copper colored hair which has little streaks of pale yellow and light purple in it. Her hair is pulled up into pigtails and held in place by twisted copper pieces.

If allowed to sit down she would take off her damp red cloak to reveal a a white button down shirt with a red vest over it. The vest has a symbol sewn on it over her heart. Her black pants are tucked into her boots.

”Of course it isn’t too much, you can always ask about appellations. On the other hand, whether you’ll get an answer or not can sometimes be another matter entirely. Call me Gage.”
Gage welcomes his refill as well, and takes a gulp before continuing.

”Fortunately, or unfortunately perhaps, we won’t have time for the full story. I hope the abridged version will suffice.
But first, a storytelling aide!”

Gage intones a magic word while gesturing strangely.
”Prestidigitation!”

Gage turns to Taenweth while making some small crude dolls and doll furniture appear.
”You said something about red hair, didn’t you? I can fix that for you if you like… well, for about an hour.”

In response to Gird's question about deities, Pyros says "Milani's everblooming rose lights my path and gives me hope for the future." having said so, aloud, Pyros glances around to gauge responses, specifically watching the Constable and noble scions. The Everbloom, in her aspect as patron of rebellion, was often not well looked-on by those who held the reigns of power. He had been hesitant to reveal even this much, nevermind his familial hatred of the Rogarvias and the freedom they had stolen from Rostland.

Seeing as the group seems to want stories, Andreas steps away from the crowd. He watches and smiles as they exchange friendly banter. He looks at each one of the hopefuls, gauging their abilities.
So this is what it is like...to see them all happy and friendly with each other. Tomorrow will be different and which of these people will survive the trails that await them. Am I prepared to send people to their death, can I make the right decisions to keep them alive. Am I worthy of such trust. I guess time will tell.

Stepping further away from the crowd
Let them enjoy this time.

Andreas turns away from the crowd and heads directly to the constable.
I beg your pardon Constable Hull, I was hoping for a moment of your time.
Stepping further away from the crowd, but just a few steps. Andreas tries to keep this conversation calm and friendly but his martial side slips in occasionly.
You have a hard task ahead of you and I do not wish to be in your boots at this moment. There are a lot of good folk here tonight. I have my views of a few of them but this is my own opinion and of very little worth. It is hard to judge a person on who they are with out meeting them first. If I had to make these decisions I know whom I would pick. There are many that deserve this chance but only few that will fit together as a unit.

If allowed to give his choice of a group..
He leans in a bit so that only the constable may hear what is being said...
I sent you a PM with my words
Those are all good people and I would feel very strongly about their abilities to handle the future tasks.

"It was merely said in jest to Sir Andreas. My brown hair suits me fine. Thank you, Master Gage." She already had her hair turned purple this night and one colour trick was more than enough.

”Right of course, 'tis a fine shade of brown, back to the story then.”

Gage takes a sip of ale and then rubs his beard for effect.

”About a day's travel from here, almost exactly two days ago, I was providing entertainment at the local inn.”
Gage sets up the scene with the few dolls he made, having some small trouble with a rather (distorted but) muscular looking one carrying several tiny axes of varying sizes.
There is a group of dolls on one side of Gage near the table's edge, and a lone doll with two small lumps atop a rather squished vegetable on Gage's other side.

”I had just finished drumming a rather cheerful tune and started telling a rather amusing tale named The Three Little Vikings and the Big Bad Linnorm.”

Gage interrupts his story briefly to address Mamise.
”-which reminds me, Mamise, I've never heard of that other one, but it’s funny that you mention Egwan; I was originally planning to follow up the viking story with his.”

Gage casts Herger a quick glance before continuing. As he speaks he starts moving the larger hatchet laden doll from the back of his tiny doll audience to the front.
”Anyway, it turns out that visiting the inn that same day was an ulfen warrior who cared too much for drink, but didn’t care much for lighthearted stories about ancient serpents, nor did he like the term ‘viking’. He voiced his disquiet with the help of a few of his many hatchets.”
Gage punctuates the sentence by taking all the tiny hatchets off the larger figure and sprinkling them over the doll on the vegetable, which could’ve possibly passed for a bard with a drum set.

”I thought I was done for that day, but my drumset dove into the line of fire for me, absorbing at least two blades that I know of.” Gage raises his tankard and then takes another sip of ale. ”twas a very gallant end, to a very valorous set of drums.”
Putting down his beverage, he continues.
”After that I obviously had to avenge my drums, and I ah” Gage retrieves his bull whip. ”Whipped some sense into the poor fellow.”
Gage cracks his whip for emphasis.
