At the Riptide Cove, on my next turn, I should be able to pick up the Armor 3 and close the location. Though if someone else is in a better position to do so, jump on in.


Rewards recap:

@Bekah - I just scored an Armor 4 and Weapon 4. What are your upgrade preferences? There are now 6 weapons sitting at the closed Hall of Champions, including my own Captain's Cutlass. We could try to get another weapon 3 or 4, if you're interested.

Either way, I'll move away (suggestions?) and we can dig into the Hall later if you're so inclined.

Yeah, Spirit Sword is much better in a Mummy's Mask campaign. Not great in Shackles.

Moving the villain discussion here, since it's easy to lose track of long discussions on Hangouts.

Just wondering how everyone wants to set up for the villain kills. If it works for everyone, I could explore randomly on my next turn (letting people move away from Eye) and kill Zarskia the turn after that. Mostly because Radovan can auto-evade Zarskia's summoned Runes and the SOT Cyclops Oracle at the closed Eye.

Then whoever is interested could take on The Eel for the win. Radovan could temp close the Dinosaur Corral, maybe?

I can take the Great Stone Bridge close check on the Eel fight. (The first villain we fight doesn't escape at all, so no temp-closes needed on that one.) I have Fire Snake for d10+3 on the Dex 10 check.

Since I was able to close Dino Corral on my last turn, we could change our plans.

If Bekah or Grazzle can defeat Zarskia (Combat 20 + BYA summoned Cryptic Runes), I can defeat Eel on my turn - just need Celeste to temp close Bridge - and we can win. I have two blessings to offer for Zarskia combat, Runes, or Bridge temp close.

Or we can stick with the original plan and I can take Zarskia this round, and someone else can take Eel next round. I'm fine either way.

@Scott/Ranzak: IIRC, Ranzak has the ability to evade banes and let random (other) local characters encounter them instead. If you need me to fight a monster, go ahead and do a bot combat roll for me. My base roll is 2d8+1d6+1d4+7. (Add extra 1d8 vs. summoned creatures.)

I started at the beach. Ranzak has a corrosion spell in his hand so if a caster is interested in cycling it through their deck for barriers and possibly certain monsters let me know.

Corrosion:

Magic, Arcane, Divine, Attack, Mental, Basic
Discard this card to add 1 die to any check to defeat a barrier.

Discard this card to add 1 die to any check against a monster that has the Construct or Undead trait.

After playing this card, if you do not have either the Arcane or Divine skill, banish it; otherwise, you may succeed at an Arcane or Divine 9 check to recharge this card instead of discarding it.

Also, Ranzak has one blessing of the Gobs in his deck and if nobody objects will likely bury it to gain the next blessing; Unless we took a load of structural damage or got whomped by a villain that is.

I think I'm safe taking Blessing 4, as everyone else seems interested in other things. Taking out Asmodeus, putting in Midnight Lord (2 dice to con/finesse, recharges if my check).

Finished 4.5, so no feats. Still not tiering up.

Celeste:
Taking Spell 4 upgrade. Replace Life Drain with Ice Storm. (Because who needs healing with Grazzle around?)
Ice Storm is Arcane + 3d8 for combat, and also ignores any non-villain AYA.
