We have lots of upgrade options: Ally 5 x2, Item 5, Spell 4, Weapon 5, Armor 5, etc. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, we each get an Ally 5 (or lower) of our choice from the box as a scenario reward.

Any thoughts on upgrades? I could take almost anything, so I'll pick last.

Really keen on a Spell 4 = Channel the gift. or a Weapon 3 = Staff of Dark Flame

Yeah, Bog Medic vs. Bone Diviner for Grazzle is an interesting choice in terms of card upgrades, etc. I'm going Bog Medic w/ my Grazzle, then loading up on items. I'm trying to end up with a Blindfold of the Night Sky (AD5), Samisen of Oracular Vision (AD5), and Binder's Tome (or maybe Crystal Ball).

Yes, having gone diviner, I don't want to try for the examine items.
I think I like the binders tome too much to let it goes :-)

Chris - might want to go ahead and dismiss Ranzak's curse. Scott & I had words on Hangout because I forgot his plan to just take the Dagon Jaws B curse henchman & have you dismiss both. Ranzak is burying a card SOT ATM - with his huge hand, it's best to stop that ASAP. Thanks.

How do we want to split up for the endgame? I have a banishable ally (Sorrowsoul) for the Reef, so I could take that. I could also give the ally to someone else to do the same.

If I am reading this right, a Villain in group 1 can only escape to group 1 locations?

If so, lets keep in the same Group.
Also means Grazzle can heal as he will only be able to heal same group

Correct. Villains can only escape within their group of locations. The other group is treated as if they don't exist, which means that in addition to the villain not escaping there, they also do not get any opportunity to temp close.

I know. I may regret it.

I'm mostly doing it because I'll be increasing my handsize to 7 with my next power feat - so I wanted another revealable armor for protection.

Also level 5 + 6 Quang boons pretty much do the same thing. They add 6 and 7, at least.

Finally, I haven't failed a check in a while. :P

Ah, ok. I confused myself between the rule for drawing from a face-up deck - which is always a card of your choice - and drawing from "the box" - which is always random.

But, to be precise, in the Gameplay thread you say it is a random AD5 card of the *type* of your choice. Which is a big help to Celeste, who can't keep the armors or weapons in her decks.

Redoing the adventure reward:

Between my two decks, there are exactly 3 AD5 Items. Random draw from the 3 AD Items: Samisen of Oracular Vision
(If that seems too coincidental, when I read the 3 items over, I thought, Hey - I should be carrying the Evocation Staff instead. (Totally.))

With a bunch of support (Grazzle's staff x2, at least 4 party blessings, both my Norge displays), I'm in pretty good shape to defeat Brinebones on my next turn so that we can funnel him into Lucrehold.

If that's Ok with everyone, we'll need someone to temp close the Jungle.

Reminder: One random occupied location will get hit with Brinebones' BYA damage.

A reasonable alternative would be for us to permanently close the Jungle first, and then use the scenario evasion power to Get Lucky (tm) and have Brinebones randomly sorted into Lucrehold on its own. We'd have a 50/50 shot of that happening.

I think taking on villain to funnel him to lucrehold makes sense to me.
BYA damage can't be helped too much it seems.
