Adamondais moves Northeast so that Tasskar is again in line of sight and casts acid splash on him.

acid splash vs touch, -4 melee: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 2 - 4 = 18

acid damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Grease is no good on his flame blade, because it's immaterial. And there isn't enough space to cast it on the floor without also casting it on you guys. Magic missile isn't a whole lot better than acid splash to just deal damage (it's a guaranteed hit, but acid splash can crit); not much point using it except as a readied action. So I figure I'll save the slot for now.

On his turn, Adamondais positions himself behind Serge and casts light on Serge's armor. Assuming you're ok with that, obviously. This way you have a light for 10 minutes no matter where you go.

Sifah steps up to flank, and sharply stabs Sifah for another 11.

The Dude moves forward, and casts bless.

You three, i need a reflex DC 15 from you, to jump to safety on this floor. Should you fail, you make another, as you try to catch yourself on the floor beneath you. If you fail that one as well, you take 6d6 falling damage.

A moment, i misunderstood his spontaneous. It works like the cleric spontaneous casting.
Yes he can sacrifice a spell to switch that spell, but no, he can't insta summon, unless he has quickened spell.

"Hissssss....", and the troglodyte falls to his knees, holding his side, before collapsing.

"Excellent strike yet again, Sifah. You are quite the crafty warrior." Serge sheaths his sword, sighing now that the worst of it was over, or at least, he hoped. "And my thanks, Adamondais, for being my shining light when I needed it most. The General of Vengeance praises you. Let's have a look around here before we take leave to report to Herbert."

He gives the room a good search. Take 20 on Perception, because the baddies are gone ;)

Serge finds nothing special on Tasskar himself, but there is a trunk near the throne.

"Hey, guys? The floor here is just about ready to cave in. I realized that during the battle, and had a horrible premonition of us all falling. Let's all slowly move to the West side of the room, shall we?" Back on the phone, could somebody move me back to the stairwell, please?

Once back on stable ground, Adamondais lets out a sigh of relief. "Well, that was sure something! You guys fight really well."

To Serge, he says "Uh, thanks. Although I didn't do anything some burning wood couldn't have done. You guys killed the monsters."

Well, now that this place has been cleared out, what say you we begin the real adventure? Cataloguing relics!"

Serge dashes back towards the stairs on Adamondais' advice. "Cataloguing... Relics?" He shrugs. "I guess it's what the old man asked for, but I really need a drink. We nearly died, after all. You in, Sifah?"

"I am still disgusted by everything up here, and I don't understand how you mouth breathers survive this on a daily basis."

Along with Balenar, you take whatever you can carry, as well as Dalir's body, and head back to the city.

Although you've cleared the Fortress of its occupants, it is likely a mere matter of time, before something else takes up residence. But that is a matter for another time.

Back at the city, Balenar says his goodbyes, and leaves you to your own business, where you likely see to a temple taking care of Dalir's funeral arrangements.

While wandering, you bump into professor Herbert Hermant.

"Ah, there you are....wait, not all of you. Should i...assume the worst?"

Serge casts a long, sullen look at Herbert. "It is as you fear." He shakes his head. "Our friend Dalir, may his soul rest, perished at the hands of some burning skeletons. And yet another name to add to my list."

Sighing, the paladin pulls a leather-bound notebook from his pack. In it, he writes down Dalir and the date. He closes it and casually puts it away before continuing.

"As for those ruins... They were troglodyte infested, but they no longer are."

Herbert face shows mournful compassion.

"I see...my sympathies.
Still, if you would come with me to my office, so i can document what you can tell me of what you have seen in there, it'd be much appreciated."

Assuming you do, a messenger enters the office.
" 'scuse me sir, i have a letter for these people."
He hands it to whomever takes it.

"What is a 'Pathfinder Society'? What is a 'Venture Captain'?"

The messenger:
"Lady?
They're a league of scholars, adventurers and everything in between.
Got their base in this City. The Venture Captain is what a guard captain is to the city watch. The local man in charge.
His office, or lodge like they prefer to call it, is down the street then right around the left corner."

Serge muffles a laugh, then reiterates what the messenger says. "You... Don't know of the Pathfinder Society, even in Absalom? Come now, let's go visit them and you can learn all about it."

Professor Hermant takes your description of the fortress, hands you all a pouch of gold.

Said gold on the chronicle.

After which you follow the messenger's directions.
Arriving at the lodge, you show the letter to the doorman and he lets you in.
Briefly afterwards, you are summoned to a room akin to a mixture of an office and a display of books and a variety of objects.

A man sturdy man with short hair and a mustache that goes down to his chin, looks up from his desk, before he rises and offers you a seat.

I don't recall his name, though, while i should.

"On behalf of the lodge, i would express my gratitude for the safe return of agent Balenar. He told me of the unfortunate departure of one of your own.
Now, after agent Balenar gave me his own report, in which he claims you capable and of common sense in battle, i had a talk with some of my fellow officers.
We would like for you to join our organization, if you accept."

From a seat unnoticed yet by you: "Come on, it'll be fun...as long as you're not like me and get captured in a reptilian occupied ruin."

The figure of Balenar leans back on a chair, with a smile on his face and a hand waving.
"I'll even sponsor your progress until you are official members.
Least i can do for my rescuers, or friends, maybe?"

(Big smile)

Both men look at you for an answer, but not so staring yet that you'd feel too pressured.

"Please tell me that life as a member is not always like the last couple days have been?"

Serge considers the offer. "I came here to give my cousin's life meaning, and I'm feeling inspired after entering those ruins and leaving with only a few scratches."

Or perhaps more than just a few scratches...

"Serving an organization may fall in line with my ideals. I suppose I could help out... If there's liquor involved." Serge laughs at his own joke.

"Well, I would say that for a group of scholars, the Society is a bit too militant for my tastes. But then, my first attempt at independent research ended up turning into a siege on an ancient fortress. It might be good to have some more martially inclined comrades watching my back." Adamondais turns and smiles at his friends. Then he weighs his new coinpurse in his hand. "And not having to worry about funds would be nice. Alright, I'm in."

The Venture Captain nods, and Balenar smiles.

The latter extends his hand.

"Welcome my friends, but first, i'm buying a round for us at the Caeden's Pitstop."
