I'll take The Dude's actions as retrieve and heal.
Dragging Sifah out is bit of a problem. To drag, the one doing the dragging needs to walk in a straight line with himself & whatever/whoever he's dragging.
Um, I don't think she weighs 600 lbs. She's not freezer chest. ;)
| Chyrone |
Oh, it's not about weight. :)
You can attempt to drag a foe as a standard action. You can only drag an opponent who is no more than one size category larger than you. The aim of this maneuver is to drag a foe (ally in this case) in a straight line behind you without doing any harm
The barracks, round 9
Adamondai's hand starts filling with a green glow, awaiting a target to come within his sight.
--------------
Yellow moves, and despite having experienced the grease, it gambles it as the quickest route to Sifah and walks into the area.
Acro for half speed, DC 10: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
His footing can't catch, Reflex DC 16 vs falling: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
He drops prone, much to his dismay. He stands up though.
Tulok has joined combat]
The troglodyte emerging from the other room, is a bulky one, larger than the ones the team's facing atm.
1 Attack, 2 Ignore for other: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Tulok thinks yellow in position to attack Sifah, and walks into the room carrying a javelin.
(Hiss)
"Fresh meat, i was getting bored over there."
Javelin vs Serge: 1d20 ⇒ 181d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
It is for minor hurt, but Serge takes a hit.

I take it then, that I can't drag Sifah because I'm blocked from behind by Ada? If I could, would it draw an AoO on her?

Serge steps back for a moment as the javelin pierces his shoulder, blood dripping from the new wound. "Ugh..." He then continues his neverending onslaught against the trogs with a slice of his nodachi at yellow.
Nodachi, pa, sick, bless: 1d20 + 4 - 1 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 1 - 2 + 1 = 201d10 + 6 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 3 - 2 = 15
RNGesus be praised.

Lifting and Dragging: A character can lift as much as his maximum load over his head (picking stuff up in an adjacent square is a move action that provokes an Attack of Opportunity. See Actions in Combat). A character's maximum load is the highest amount of weight listed for a character's Strength in the heavy load column of Table: Carrying Capacity.
A character can lift as much as double his maximum load off the ground, but he or she can only stagger around with it. While overloaded in this way, the character loses any Dexterity bonus to AC and can move only 5 feet per round (as a full-round action).
A character can generally push or drag along the ground as much as five times his maximum load. Favorable conditions can double these numbers (like say grease), and bad circumstances can reduce them by half or more.
She's not a 'foe' while she's unconscious and helpless. Actual 'foes' aren't even foes when they are out, though big ones can become obstructions. Aside from the grease we could stand and fight from her square no problem.
Picking stuff up off the floor usually does not break it. As there are no spinal trauma rules and only hp, I think we are good in just having someone pick her up in fireman's carry or like a big potted palm and either carry her around (as encumbrance) or set her down somewhere within reach for another move action. Although dropping her would still obviously be free! ;)

Ah, I hadn't realized she'd been revived. It isn't my turn yet, but I just wanted to say that I can dispel the grease if it becomes inconvenient (to us, I mean). You still might slip on all the acid, though :P

I'm confused, I see a lot of discussion on if I can be slid, dragged, or whatever else. Where am I? How many hit points? Am I in imminent danger of attack, or threatened by an opponent?

acid splash vs tulok, -4 soft cover, +1 bless: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 3 = 17
acid damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Figured I'd mix things up for a change.

With Tulok having entered the equation, and in his proximity...guess what. More fort roll checks. :)
DC 13 this time, or you'll be sickened for another 10 rounds.
The barracks, round 10
Adamondais hits Tulok with a well aimed acid splash.
Damage depends on his fort roll.
Though you're rather high up on the stairs, Adamondais.
------------
Tulok circumvents the greased area, and faces Serge.
Claw: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 211d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
His claw is well aimed, and deals enough hurt to put Serge on disabled.

That's just me being a lazy ass. Actual HP was 0/13. It'll be corrected to 6/13 (Fey Foundling) shortly after this post.
Serge grins as the warmth from the spirit of Dalir rushes into his body, rejuvenating his life. "My thanks, Sir Dude. Now, to end this, once and for all..." He slices at the final creature as harshly as possible.
Nodachi, pa: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 1 = 181d10 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 3 = 18
@GM Is bless still active? Adjust as needed.

I'm thinking full recovery would be a great idea before anything else.
Serge wipes off the immense amount of sweat covering his face, then smells himself. Ugh... He adds a few feet between himself and the others to avoid the embarrassment, then grabs the key.
He takes a look around the room for anything else of interest.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 18

Adamondais stares at Serge and the remains of the last troglodyte, clearly impressed. "What are you doing on Kortos? With swordsmanship like that, shouldn't you be off in Mendev or the Worldwound fighting demons, or something? Not that it matters, I'm glad you're here."
Once he recovers from Tulok's stench, he leafs through his spellbook. He finds what he was looking for near the front, and says "Ah, there we are. Prestidigitation. That ought to be able to get rid of any lingering odors." After reading the page several times, he pinches the bridge of his nose and shakes his head. "Bah. I can't seem to wrap my mind around even the simplest spell. I get these headaches when I use my magic, you see. They make it difficult to concentrate. I'm going to have to sleep it off before I'm able to cast any new spells."

"Gotcha covered." Says the Dude. He produces a big hand-rolled smoke. "Anyone got a light? So what's next? We moving on? There can't be more than eight or so floors left, right? Hey, where'd the yellow guy go?"
That's just me being a lazy ass....
I prefer-'abiding'.
Serge inspects the bunks thoroughly, but nothing of use is found.
Whadya talkin' about these scales make fine guitar picks!
Serge Foxmourn

Serge smiles at Adamondais' kind words. "Demon fighting... Not a chance I'd be able to stand up to such fiends. I arrived from Magnimar, though worshipers of His Eminence are few and far between, even there, with many falling to cultish evil instead. Now, I mainly fight for my cousin... to honor his sacrifice."
"I don't know about you, but I think these bunks look as good as any to rest and surely help with Adamondais' headache. They may be a little on the smelly side, but perhaps we could take turns and stand watch."
Serge Foxmourn
|
Serge will also step into the room from where Tulok came and have a look around.
Take 20 for perception, if we're not in a rush
The Dude With No Name

"So, ummm, again, the surface world is a very scary, disgusting, and smelly place! I can see why my people prefer the water."
Slightly offend at having the place he keeps all of his stuff referred to as 'smelly' (though he does take a moment to make sure that he himself didn't smell bad to himself--no, merely a very manly nicotine scent) the Dude says: "You know fish go in the water."
Adamondais
|
I think I just spent a full minute laughing at the Dude's posts. I needed that, thanks.
In response to the Dude, Adamondais digs through his pack and retrieves a flint and steel, grinning. "Ah, incense. This may not be the best way to light it, but it should suffice."
"Magnimar, eh? Well, their loss is our gain. I'm sure your cousin would be very proud." he says to Serge.
Adding to Sifah and the Dude's discussion of the merits of living underwater, Adamondais says "In my experience, it depends on where you are. You wouldn't want to swim in the Miasmere, off the coast of Nex. It's so polluted with alchemical runoff from the fleshforges that merely touching the water is enough to cause horrific chemical burns and possibly the odd mutation. The waters of the Inner Sea, though, and especially around Kortos, are quite clean. I often spend my free time diving in the harbor with the aid of the air bubble and touch of the sea spells."
So, we're going to take watch in shifts, correct? There are four of us, so if everyone watches for about three hours we can all have our eight hours' rest in nine hours. Also, Adamondais and the Dude (I think, I don't remember off the top of my head if spontaneous casters need to) will both need an additional hour to prepare spells.
Sifah Asashio

I'm fine if resting is the plan.
Sifah, looks at the Dude quizzically, "I am but a novice with your language, but when you say the fish 'go in the water' do you not mean they 'come from the water' or maybe they 'stay in the water?' I suppose possibly they 'go around in the water' might also be correct. To say they 'go in the water' seems like maybe you mean they 'belong in the water,' which seems self evident."

Serge closes both doors to the bunk room and places several pieces from his mess kit into the door's frame, so that if someone, or something, opens the door, the party will be awakened by the sound of falling forks and knives. "Call me paranoid, but I learned this technique after a run in with a goblin who dared enter my quarters unannounced as I slept. The devious trickster robbed me blind, even going so far as to steal my clothing. If it weren't for my drunken cousin walking in to ask if I wanted to indulge in a liquid dinner, the green fiend may have even gone so far as to set the place alight." Serge shudders thinking about it, then borrows the wand from Dude and taps himself twice with it before handing it back.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 2 = 4
CLW: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 2 = 9
I will remove my armor before I sleep, and put it back on before my shift.
Adamondais
|
Upon waking up, Adamondais flips through his spellbook and prepares grease and magic missile. While preparing the latter, he mumbles something about how the Arcanamirium should really have a class on aiming your spells and how he would probably have failed it even if they did. It'll be nice having a spell that doesn't require attack rolls, I think. Same cantrips as yesterday (acid splash, detect magic, light, mage hand). Not smelling like a troglodyte wouldn't be worth the utility I'd be giving up to replace it, unfortunately.
"I think that's the worst night's sleep I've had since my final exams as an apprentice. Anyways, I'm ready to push on when everyone else is."
Would the night's rest count as a full night's rest for the purposes of healing a hit point?
Edit: Also, mage armor has worn off, so my AC is back to 13 (T:12, FF:11)

After throwing his armor back on and having a close look at it to verify it's not trapped in some way, Serge tries to open the rusty iron box in Tulok's room.

"A wayfinder? What would a troglodyte be doing with one of these? They're typically given to new Society members... Although I suppose there are other ways of obtaining them, this must belong to someone else." Serge grabs the wayfinder, then goes to wake up Dude by shaking him gently.

"*SNORT* Huh! Huh? Oh? Uh. I was just meditating on- on the nature of sleep, man." The Dude and lumbers to his feet. He plucks the ear plugs from his ears and stuffs them in a pocket. "What?"
