Oskar: Two more punches sink home. You hear several bones snap and the creature starts coughing blood. Its looking bad, but its not down yet.

The could hits the sinspawn full on. Pieces of its skin start to fall off and it looks unsteady on its feet.

Flappy thing: from behind the lip of the fountain there is a small 'pop' of displaced air. A small, earth like creature appears next to Justin.

It looks like its not taking too kindly to the ratfolk.

Now that I can see the flappy thing clearly, what is it? (rolled a 19 on the knowledge earlier)

The lumpy thing is a small earth elemental. Flappy thing is most def a quasit.

knowledge quasit:
The quasit is perhaps the least powerful demon, yet it is not the least respected—even quasits hold themselves above the dretch horde, and true to their natures, dretches lack the courage or drive to prove the quasits wrong. A quasit's first role in life is that of a familiar to a spellcasting master, but those quasits who escape from this humiliating servitude become free-willed and much more dangerous.

Quasits are Tiny outsiders (chaotic, demon, evil, extraplanar).
You remember that they are quite resiliant and posses DR 5/cold iron or good; Immune electricity, poison; Resist acid 10, cold 10, fire 10

Realizing he's facing an enemy that can resist any acid he could threaten it with, Vitro goes a little paler. Seeing Oskar out of action he turns to Rataji, and turning to Elvish hoping not to spill the game plan to the little fiend.

"It's a little demon, it will take cold iron to properly hurt it. This one seems able to cast more spells than a typical pet, so I don't know if I can shut down its mind.

Be careful with the lumpy thing, I think it's an earth elemental, those things hit harder than you'd expect from its size. But they're also dumb, maybe I can take it out...

But try to save Oskar from that thing first!"

He winks out of existence running up the stairs, trying to take his eyes off of what is no doubt a fascinating piece of arcana long enough to throw a grease spell under the sinspawn

Right, good point... think the little demon speaks green skin? I no scratch it with acid.. fire cold or lightning also no good. Oskar grab it and squeeze it make its head pop. Cold iron hurt it.

Vitro looks at Justin, hoping he can understand that... we really should have figured out mutual languages beforehand. Chances are this demon speaks Thassilonian so that's not a private language.

Seeing the quasit, vy foregoes on the detect evil, cast a cure light, and releases the energy when he hustles over to Oskar.

I have to go to work soon and Rataji hasn't acted yet, I hope she's moving to northeast of the prawn as planned.

So here's my plan A: Color Spray the earth elemental, augmented by arcanist pool (DC 16 Will). Hopefully that puts it out of action. Afterwards, move west, west, southwest, so that I'm just north of the prawn. The idea is that even if we don't kill the prawn, we threaten it with so many AoOs that it can't coup de grace Oskar.

attack of oppurtunity while prone vs snowflake: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 5 - 4 = 8

Justin: dimensional slides again and casts crease, to great effect as the sinspawn goes down.

Snowflake: takes the risk, but the prone spawn cant hit him. He heals Oskar. Oskar's wounds close completely.

Rataji: Moves forward. With Oskar paralyzed there is no flank. But maybe she can provide one if Oskar breaks free.

Rapier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Crit?!: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 1 = 17
Crit Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Somewhat. Still casting Color Spray, but what I do afterwards depends on if the spray drops the elemental. If the elemental saves, I'm still moving west to hide behind Rataji.

If the elemental fails the save, and the quasit isn't flying too high, I'm moving into its square. Since he's tiny that won't provoke. Then I'll menace him with my rapier, threatening AoOs against his holy symbol/foci/spell component pouch if he has any. EDIT: on further inspection the pool is in the way, so I'd end up just next to him, not in his square. This map is full of diagonal grid angst.

If the elemental fails and the quasit is flying too high, I'm drawing a flask of holy water and taking a step southeast.

Its not the worst diagonal grid map. It at least allowed Oskar to open the door and NOT emediately block the whole doorway.

I'm not rolling for the duration of the color spray as the elemental is a summoned creature and it will disappear before the end of color spray.

Vitro: Casts color spray. The elemental stops moving and is suddenly as unmovable as if it was truely made of rock.

The quasit is hanging quite high up, about 15 feet you think, altough the exact hight is difficult to say with a tiny creature. You're also pretty sure its a 'she'. moved you on the map.

Quasit: Shrieking angrily it turns towards Justin on the dais. "You shall not defile the Mothers gifts to us!"

She casts a spell.

Tossing aside the useless rapier, Vitro stalks up to stand under the quasit, holding the vial of holy water he just drew, trying to keep the monster's eyes fixed on a to-dodge-projectile. Then he quickly barks out a few words and tosses multicolored sand towards the open-eyed-demon and transforms them into bright light.

Color Spray, enhanced to CL 3 and Will DC 16 with arcane reservoir.

Justin pants and manages to stop themselves from running. His beady little red eyes glare at the flappy thing and he takes his spellbook out of his pocket and, not having understood Vitro , fires a ray of frost at it.

Vitro gets a cunning glint in his eye - needs to work on his power face a bit more. Standing next to the big pool he looks it over appraisingly.

"Eh, I think it needs a bit redecorating, it's a bit gaudy. These runes are sooo ten milennia ago."

While inspecting the pool for structural weaknesses and possible ways to destroy it, he casually holds the vial of holy water, Ready to throw it at the quazzit if it takes the bait and comes within 10ft.

Oskar: Delays (?)

Vitro: studies the fountain. The outer pool is level with the floor of the chamber. It only has a raised lip to separate if from the floor.
The middle section is raised higher and has a ring of polished human skulls balanced on stone spikes arranged in a circle around it.

It all looks to be quite sturdy.

Quasit: The wounds created by Snowflake's arrow seem to close a little bit. The quasit draws a tiny dagger and throws it at snowflake.

dagger throw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
damage: 1d2 ⇒ 2

The dagger flies back into her hand after finishing the attack.

It's practically immune to elemental attacks. Maybe I can motivate it to come down, it seems fairly psychotic.

Seeing Justin busy with casting, it's time to distract the quazzit as much as possible so he doesn't see the danger. Vitro's going to make a big show of trying to smash the skulls in the pool. (Trying more to make a show and not fall in, than to necessarily cause damage.)
