I'll give the others a moment to chime in if they think that's ok. Meanwhile...
Carefully making your way down the tunnel, it takes a turn. You see another tunnel branching off. It looks like in the distance it opens up in a chamber, but due to the angles you cant really see into it. Further up ahead, the tunnel opens in another room.
Which way do you want to go?
''Vitro'' Wizjietroczenon
Vitro takes his place in the marching order, rapier held at the ready, in case anything manages to slip past Oscar or a broader front becomes necessary. He nods to Oscar to move on to the nearby room.
GM Woran
A red marble statue of a strikingly beautiful but, at the same time, monstrously enraged human woman stands in the middle of this room, her stony expression twisted in fury. The woman wears flowing robes, and her long hair is held back from her face by an intricate headdress of hooks and blades. In her left hand she carries a large book, the face of which is inscribed with a seven-pointed star. Her right hand holds a glittering metal-and-ivory ranseur.
The statue depicts Runelord Alaznist
Oskar Dragenaev
Oskar glances skeptically at the statue. "Really? Tough to believe someone is gonna willingly pay money to have something that pissed off."
Vy "Snowflake" Baro
"First a..sin spawn? And now a statue of one of the seven sins? This, beneath Sandpoint? It should be destroyed. Not revered "
Oskar Dragenaev
Oskar shrugs. "One's as good as the other t'me, and that way we don't have t'worry 'bout movin' it. Whaddo we wanna do, just shove it over?"
Oskar Dragenaev
Oskar's face lights up. "Oh. OH. OH!!! I got it: we bring it back to town, and folks can pay to take swings at it with a hammer. There is no way we don't make a fortune doing that...!"
Justin Norvegicus
|
"Somethings off here. Digging a tunnel is hard work. Why would you dig right past a perfectly good corridor and just HAPPEN to go parallel along it without running into it?.. Guess we're going right hand rule. "
''Vitro'' Wizjietroczenon
History: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Vitro stares at the statue for a while, almost putting his finger on it, before Justin blurts out what it is.
"Interesting... veeery interesting... I knew this was a good area to look for ancient stuff, but this is much more than I dared hope for."
Oskar Dragenaev
If there was no result on the detect magic Justin said he cast on the statue, I guess we'll move on as indicated on the map.
GM Woran
Ah yes no magic
The tunnel widens here into what appears to have once been a small shrine, for to the northeast, steps lead up to a platform of gray stone. Sitting atop the platform is an ancient altar, little more than a jagged block of black marble with a shallow concavity on top of it.
This basin is filled with what appears to be filthy water.
Justin Norvegicus
|
"Nothing on the altar. The water is magical though, unholy water would be necromancy... perhaps it summons water when empty? Put it on the list of things to play with on the way out. You know, once this goblin business dies down this is going to be amazing real estate for the right customers... "
Oskar Dragenaev
Oskar stares at Justin in mild disbelief. "I think we're here to get the 'right customers' the hell out of here, y'know?"
Justin Norvegicus
|
"Well after that i mean. I grew up with 20 relatives in a room that big. And any time you leave empty space SOMETHING Is going to try to move in. May as well have it be productive tax payers. Every skaven dreams of their own warren... what should I call it? Sandpoint underdark? Lower Sandpoint?"
scurries group over to door

"Lower Sandpoint? Underpoint...?"
Aa soon as that's out of his mouth, Oskar chides himself for encouraging this line of thought.

This huge room looks like nothing more than an immense underground cathedral. Stone doors stand to either side of the main entrance, but
beyond this, the walls are carved with strange, spiky
runes.
In the center of the room is a large pool, with a ring of polished human skulls balanced on stone spikes arranged in a circle around the deeper midsection.
At the far end of the room, a pair of stone stairways leads up to a pulpit on which sits a second pool, this one triangular and filled with churning, bubbling water that looks almost like translucent lava. Yet while wisps of what look like heat and steam rise from the strange orange liquid, the room itself is deathly cold.
Above the orange pool, a tiny figure is flying. She shrieks accusingly, "How dare you intrude upon the Mother’s sanctum!” She slashes her own wrist with her dagger, allowing some of her blood to drip into the strange triangular pool.
The orange liquid bubbles frantically for a second then diminishes in glow and a taloned hand reaches out.
The small figure disappears completely as another Sinspawn climbs out of the pool. This one is naked.

Fresh out of the pool, the sinspawn moves forward, its movements more smooth and faster then those of the other one you encountered.
Quick and gracefull as a cat it moves forward, and tries to bite Oskar.

UPdated the map. From the square Oskar is in now, it is possible to move/5foot step into the big room

All the dopey comments and banter dry up on Oskar's tongue as he takes in the scene before him.
As the sinspawn lurches toward him, Oskar mutters, "Yeah, I think yer 'Mother' needs some better helpers." He slips around the creature's flank and slams it with a pair of punches.
Five-foot step and Flurry this clown.

Vitro squints at the little flying thing, trying to make out what it is.
Knowledge (arcana, local, nature or planes): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Pick any knowledge that applies, they're all at the same score. Where is the critter now, and is the s'pawn still alive?
''Vitro'' Wizjietroczenon
Did I get anything on my knowledge check about the flappy thing?
"Hide from me will you... Turning to look at the s'pawn "Try to block us at the door will you..."
Vitro sharply inhales and exhales. While not a true breath weapon per se, the earth around the s'pawn picks that moment to emit a puff of acid gas.
Acid gas: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
As usual, the gas causes Sickened. Fort 15 avoids sickened and halves damage.
His focus shifts towards the pool, looking at it.
"Justin, do you think the critter can make more of them with that pool? Do we have a Remove Indoor Plumbing spell?"
GM Woran
Oskar: Letting his fists do the talking, Oskar lands two heavy punches. A few bones crack, but the thing is still standing. Its clearly in a much better condition then the one you encountered earlier.
Crit does not confirm, but both punches are a hit. 16 damage
Vitro: Another Acid cloud springs forth. The sinspawn appears to resist most of it. 2 damage

Justin cracks his tail at the wall, hops into it and reappears inside the room , orients himself a bit and fires off a bolt at the sinspawn.
"Does quasit mean anything to anyone? Thats what the letter called her. Judging from everyone's reactions I'm going to guess that negotiating is off the table? "

''Vitro'' Wizjietroczenon
A satisfied smirk lengthens over Vitro's angular face as the s'pawn is herded by the acid cloud into a position where Oskar and Rataji can attack it from both sides - and away from guarding the door.
Taking advantage of the opening, he slips into the room, still keeping an eye out for where the small thing went. But meanwhile, let's focus on whittling down this ugly thing.
Acid Cloud: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

NOTE: I had a moment of brain lock, and did Oskar's flurry at -1 per attack. It should be -2 per, please resolve his last round accordingly. (I have another char who TWFs at -1 and got my wires crossed in my head. Sorry!)

Looks like we cross-posted.. I was setting up flanking positions for you and Rataji. Would you like to take a 5ft step downwards?
