Suggestion for the party:
We get the crown and jewelry appraised and figure out how much of it equals four points of plunder.
We save the crown and jewels for the Hurricane King, and then sell the rest of the plunder to pay the crew, make purchases, etc.
Sound like a plan?
I don't know the protocols for offering a crown to a king, but it sounds good to me.

As Captain, it's only fair that I represent the interests of the crew by earning the Letter of Marque. I'm up for the Challenge, but...
Some Important Questions for WHTKNT:
1.) Between our time sailing to Little Oppara, time in port, and time sailing to Port Peril, are we considered to be completely healed of ability score damage from the Sahaugin fight by the time we arrive?
2.) What did the appraisal of the crown (and jewelry, if needed) end up being? Is it enough for the bribe?
3.) Should I assume that I was able to get the enchantments transferred to one harpoon (+2 returning and seeking)? If so, what did it cost?

1) Yes. You are fully recovered. I am of the assumption that there is a healer on board the ship among the ranks of the crew that, while he does not take part in the adventures, is there to heal between adventures.
2) The crown was worth 5,000 gp, more than enough to cover the bribe. I already added the jewelry into your totals.
3) Yes, and let's say that the cost was 6,000 gp, the difference of going from a +1 weapon to a +2 weapon. Does that sound fair?

I did that. I made all the acrobatics checks to walk the yard to each of the four locations, and all the profession sailor checks to unfurl the sails in sequence.
What did I miss?

I did the initial climb, then realized that there wasn’t any reason to not go ahead and make the rest of the checks.

I'm more worried about the alcohol penalties stacking up, all of the skill in the world isn't going to help if Alexander is too drunk to play. That being said, Alex is a good choice as well.

I will have to win by sheer luck and Fort Saves if I do it, I have a lousy Charisma, so Bluffing isn't going to be a likely prospect.
My Intimidate score is pretty darn impressive (thanks Intimidating Prowess feat!). I suppose I could simply intimidate the guy I'm playing into ceding the match

Alexander's fort is only two lower than Chumtooth's, and he's got that +14 Bluff. I also wouldn't want any rival captains to think that all they have to do is assassinate Chumtooth and our crew falls apart.
I think Alexander bluff skill will more than make up the difference.

I am having to do a hard thing. The hardest thing to do as a gamer I think. I am having to cut the number of games I am in.
We recently had a tragic death befall the family, on top of an already expected loss. Add to that the youngest having to go back in for a surgery in a few weeks and I will not ha ve the time I need for all the games I am in.
