Oh yeah, he's absolutely disillusioned with Galt. He was originally created for a homegame in which his wife and daughter were killed in the Revolution. As his hook to start adventuring, the GM had Beleg receive a note that his daughter was still alive and that this person* knew how to get her back.
Turns out the Whispering Tyrant had used all our personal hooks to call us there so that he could warn us that someone was plotting to release Rovagug upon Golarion. As such an event would prevent his immortality, he clearly did not wish this to happen. So his choice to us was to either die at his hands now or help him secure immortality by saving the world from Rovagug-realizing that by securing Tar-Baphon's immortality we were basically ensuring that he would break out again at some point in the future. So it was basically a lesser-of-two-evils choice: Rovagug vs. Tar-Baphon.
At this point Beleg hit third so his Black Blade was a gift from Tar-Baphon. Unfortunately, the campaign dried up soon thereafter and we never any further.
Such a cool buildup though.
Yeah, I'm thinking Andoran would be a good choice. He's sick of Galt so he's moving on to their idyllic cousin (although he's still very pessimistic and skeptical about their claims of superior governance). He'll be the only reluctant Andoran on Golarion.

@Beleg: Yeah, it's mostly a flavor thing. Although you also have to think about them promoting the faction's season goals in newer scenarios. Also, it determines your access to vanities and I don't see Beleg making use of any of the Taldor vanities. He might not for Andoran either but those are at least a little more plausible for him.
Plus, like you guys have pointed out, there are possible Andoran hooks in his background. Also, I don't have any Andoran characters so it'll be a nice change.
Edit: Thanks for reminding me, Ander. I think you had a few I wanted to learn too. I'll look at those later.

Spellbook is updated. Beleg has something like 34 1st level spells and 3 2nd level spells I'd like to copy!
Ander can T10 on Spellcraft, so that comes out to:
34 1st Lvl Spells @ 10 gp/spell = 340 gp
3 @nd Lvl Spells @ 40 gp/spell = 120 gp
Total = 460 gp

Beleg: do you want me to report this one as Andoran?

I believe with the new Guide to Organized Play that came out around last Gen Con that modules and non-campaign mode APs allow for Day Jobs.
PFS# 60133-2
Faction: Grand Lodge
Day Job (Heal with Vanity): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 = 50gp
Also, GM could you put the mount and equipment Maddie bought at the beginning of the scenario on the Chronicle Sheet?
To make things easier they were:
Light Horse (75gp)
Bit and Bridle (2gp)
Riding Saddle (10gp)

The new GtOP actually doesn't say anything about it. Since it doesn't say no, I don't see a reason not to err on the side of the player.
Chronicles sent via PM. Please let me know if you run into problems with it. Thanks for playing, y'all! Despite running over, I hope you guys all had a good time.

It's mentioned specifically in the Change Log that comes along with the download of the Guide to Organized Play.
Page 29: Removed the following text: “There are no
Day Job checks when playing a sanctioned module or
Adventure Path.” Day Job checks are now available
after playing either of these sanctioned content.

Beleg: do you want me to report this one as Andoran?
Yes, thanks. I haven't had time to look through Ander's spellbook yet but I'll do that today and note it. Beleg can T10 on the Spellcraft with no problem.

Yep, I'll be copying acid arrow and flurry of snowballs when I get the chance.
I've got read magic prepared and I can take 10 to easily pass the Spellcraft check.
Two second level spells will cost me 80 gp.
Looks like I'm also missing color spray so I'll copy that one too. I've got it all noted on my chronicle sheet as well as the PP for changing factions.

That's what I get for reading the Guide itself, I suppose. LOL
Maddie, please make sure you include those purchases on your inventory tracking sheet too.

Yes, very much enjoyed this one!
So, when does book 2 start? :)
