I'm shutting this one down folks.
What began as the game for my friends who posted very slowly has been limping along for years with only sporadic bursts of player interest. I tried to shut it down a year ago because I'm out of love with 1e, but so many players wanted it to continue that I acquiesced. But it's clear that the time for this campaign is long gone!
So thanks for your time and interest, but this campaign, she is at an end.

Ah... thanks for all your efforts, Tarondor, and to all the players that came through. I did not expect 6 years (exactly, tomorrow!) when this all kicked off. It was pretty much the only event that allowed me to say that I stilled played D&D, whenever the topic came up (more than you think).

I had dropped in a few times and not seeing anything moving and not really sure HOW to keep it moving at the stage we were at.
Awkward now. Have not been on this as long as others, but appreciated the opportunity. PbP's are tough and very few actually make it to the finish line for various reasons. This one becomes one of those.
We as players could have done better I think, and I shoulder my part of that also. At some point a GM has to evaluate and decide if the juice ain't worth the squeeze.
I will have nothing but good memories of this story arc, and wish everyone the best moving forward with other games, or not, and just... moving on with their lives.
