yes, please make a list of what you want to buy.

the colony is slowly developing and has more goods now than it did to start with. some items (generally the more commonly useful kind) will already be available for purchase/trade in town. in addition any flat bonus increases are things that can be handled by members of the colony (like adding a +1 to your armor, or increasing any items' +1 bonus to a +2).

anything that is more unique or more expensive you'll need to wait for the next ship to arrive. the next one will be arriving soon, close to the end of this book.

Based on his answers and Kragg slack of sense motive I am not getting a good read on what to do next. Shall we just indoctrinate him in and tell him we plan on doing a zone of truth with everyone here so we can trust each other and see how he responds?

I think we should also consider ghost salts, some swarm protections (even Alchemist's Fire and Splintercloud should be enough).

I will be getting things like Align Weapon Oil, Magic Weapon oil (for those pesky silver/CI and magic dr.

Things like instant weapon and force sword are really handy too.

We should also consider Carver is just Carver. Maybe we just accept people at town is paranoiac and there is no more shapechangers for now.

Perhaps we should just let Ramona and Carver deal with this for now and we should focus on bringing down the hag in the volcano down.

We have a few alchemist fires, but once we start going up in level they are not going to help much. At higher level Thame and Lara can emulate fireball through shadow evocation and Kragg will have access to flame strike. Until then swarms are going to be a real pain. Should we buy a necklace of fireballs or a CL 5 wand of burning hands?

I seriously considered adding an align weapon scroll to the mix, is that something people would value? Or you do prefer people to find their own way through DR using oils like Alyn proposes or buying enhanced weapons?

For Lolito DR will be a pain because align weapon for example cannot be used on an unarmed strike. If you do think DR/good is going to be a common problem I guess I could look for holy amulet of mighty fist.

I will be buying my own align weapon oil. It's just part of my standard kit. I will eventually buy an adamantine weapon, but I'm will focus on rounding out my gear with this set of purchases.

I will also buy enough splinter cloud arrows for a swarm or 2 for Lara and I.

When DR comes up DR/good is the common one. What about Bless Weapon, Blessed Fist, Funereal Weapon (for undead). There are a few spells that help with UAS metal DR but flurrying with weapons is usually better. A lot of this is moot if you plan on picking up pummeling style.

I did not know about blessed fist, if possible to buy that stuff (I am not sure what are the valid sources for this campaign), I think I will get a couple potions of it.

Of course, if Kragg is willing to cast this on Lolito, he will be very happy to buy a couple scrolls for him.

A CL5 burning hands wand does seem like a good investment for swarms. When I play a melee type I tend to enhance my weapon to get past DR, but having situational items to get you over the hump never hurts.

as for allowed sources: pretty much anything that is published by Paizo for 1st edition is fair game.

I really like the rarity system for 2E, but there isn't an easy way to handle that in this campaign. for anything particularly unique just ask me here if it is something you can find in town or if it has to be ordered, but basically anything in the pathfinder world can be purchased and sent by boat if needed.

Hey everyone just a recruitment post in all my games. We lost a paladin and an archer in my wrath of the righteous campaign and also lost our frontline duo in reign of winter campaign.

The wrath of the righteous characters are in book 4 and are 13th level mythic tier 5.
The Reign of Winter characters are in book 5 and about to be level 14.

Either we leveled when I wasn't looking in that WotR game, or we're level 12/tier 5.

As for Lara, looking over my options, I think I'm just going to keep it simple and get a +1 composite (+2 STR) shortbow and a belt of DEX +2 (should end up being roughly 6525gp).

I see Kragg already has some wands of healing, so perhaps it is a good thing this one goes to Lara, while the rest of the scrolls can go to Kragg.

Hey Kragg,

The build is a ranger 1 goliath druid that uses shapeshifting hunter for full favorite enemy. I will the build is a super durable fountliner with solid damage out put. If you want to se ea fullbuid I can put one up Monday.

Well, I can only say I am happy Lolito was not intercepted by a Kraken :)

If needed, Lolito can auto-succeeded on a Swim DC 10 check to aid another on Lara.

Note Thame has not posted in the past three weeks. I GM a game where he is a player and he has been totally absent without a notice.

I hope he is well, but we should not expect for him to post in the immediate future and we will have to bot him or have him stay back (maybe he is too scary of the place and decides to keep watch at the crest?).

with the way life has been lately, I am hesitant to replace players who are absent for a bit, hopefully he will respond soon. I will bot him for now, as this isn't a great spot to try to bring in a fresh face!

if any of you are willing to bot him that would also be helpful, as it is harder for a GM to impartially bot a player, especially during an exploration/investigation segment.

hey all! sorry about my lack of posting lately. I am in Texas and in the middle of this crazy ice storm. we lost power and water for most of the week, just now getting everything back to normal. luckily we avoided any lasting damage so far (burst pipes, trees falling, etc). I will be trying to catch up on all my games today and tomorrow, and as long as we keep our power on I should be back to a normal schedule.
