Lena pulls out her wand of cure light wounds and falls back.

Sorry, Vladvena, you're not able to act in the surprise round, since you didn't succeed in the Perception check. Elena, I'm assuming you drew your wand (and didn't have it out already), but you wouldn't have been able to activate it in the surprise round unless you can take a full action by some ability.

Wren retreats as Adder and Elena prepare themselves for another fight. A moment later, the whispers seem to intensify and the drapes are ripped away from the frame, revealing a mirror. It seems to grab at the nearest party members, who feel themselves being sucked into it! Need a DC 23 Will save from Adder, Whiskeyjack, Bronin, and Potpie, or you find yourselves trapped in the mirror, though any equipment (including clothing and anything being carried) remains behind.
We're going to stay in rounds, as that was just the haunt's first action and it remains a threat, along with the mirror. The entire party EXCEPT Whiskeyjack and Bronins is up for Round 1/2 (that first "round" was the surprise round, then Whiskeyjack and Bronin rolled a worse initiative.

Whiskeyjack looked into the mirror and felt his soul being sucked into it. That might have worked a year or two ago, but his mind had been fortified with alcohol and exposure to greater horrors than this in the last few months.

There's multiple clangings to be heard on the stone floor as his armor, swords, and equipment drop to the floor. Gravity working it's rules now that Bronin's mass was missing.
Inside the mirror, a naked and (maybe alone) Bronin places two cupped hands over his private parts. Flushing red with embarrassment.
How?! How have I become a actor in one of Wren's Red Lantern District stories?!

Wren recognizes the item as, most likely, a mirror of life trapping.
A mirror of life trapping has 15 extradimensional compartments within it. Any creature coming within 30 feet of the device and looking at its own reflection may be trapped within the mirror in one of the cells. When a creature is trapped, it is taken bodily into the mirror. Size is not a factor, but constructs and undead are not trapped, nor are inanimate objects and other nonliving matter. If the mirror's owner knows the right command word, he can call the reflection of any creature trapped within to its surface and engage his powerless prisoner in conversation. Another command word frees the trapped creature. Each pair of command words is specific to each prisoner.
If the mirror's capacity is exceeded, one victim is set free in order to accommodate the latest one.
She believes she could try to figure out how to activate it using Spellcraft, but will require multiple checks for each person, or break it to free everyone inside.
Round 1 continues

Wren the FeatherMage |

Wren quirks her head, staying far away from the mirror lest she get drawn in.
”Yes, you walking cancerous liver sot,” Wren ponders the suggestion. ”It might be necessary. Give me a moment to figure things out. Actually, it will take a few moments to figure it all out.”
Wren stays 40’ away and casts Detect Magic and begins the slow process of divining the nature of the mirror.

Sorry, I realized I wasn't clear above (actually, I feel like a post edit might not have taken, since I'm pretty sure I posted more of an explanation of the mirror for Whiskeyjack?):
Elena was disarmed at the end of Round 1/2. She still has a full action she can take for Round 1 (the dagger is floating in front of her, if she wants to grab back at it, or can try something else). She must attempt another DC 23 Will save at the start of her turn or be drawn into the mirror. She can avert her eyes, giving her a 50 percent chance of NOT having to make a save (she can roll; high is good
Whiskeyjack can also act in the full Round 1. But he must also attempt a Will save, as Elena above.

It would have been a second save, yes: One when the mirror was revealed and then another at the start of each turn. But it's a moot point, now.
Bronin: 10
Adder: 22
Wren: 17
Elena: 14
Vladlena: 11
Whiskeyjack: 7

Just before Whiskeyjack can react, Lena decides to stop waiting for Wren to figure the mirror out and take matters into her own hands. A quick spell sends a beam of green light toward the mirror, which is instantly transformed into glittering dust in a pile on the floor. Next to it, the naked forms of Bronin and Adder reappear and Potpie, who at least has the dignity of his feathers to protect his modesty.
Unfortunately, it appears they weren't alone in the mirror. Three other forms -- muscular, violet creatures that walk upon elephantine feet with large, razor-sharp horns cover its body -- also appear! They look around and snarl, clearly ready to battle!
They're kalavakuses, known to some as "horned demons." They work as slavers on the Abyss, sometimes as harem keepers or captains of the guard for a more powerful demon, and at other times as mercenaries who sell their captured victims for profit to anyone with the funds to pay.
Meanwhile, as Elena tries to grab her dagger to prepare for the new fight, it slashes at her, cutting into her flesh 8 hp.

Wren knows the demons resist weapons that aren't good-aligned, are immune to electricity and poison, resist acid, cold, fire, and magic. They have a powerful charge with their horns, which can also catch weapons and yank them away from opponents. More worrisome they can attempt to enslave the soul of any mortal creature they can see within 60 feet. If they do, the creature suffers tremendously against that kalavakus, and if the demon slays it, the soul immediately infuses the demon's body, healing it.

What? A force wall. fine, a little support magic then. I have been wanting to try this
Lena moves up and casts firebrand on Whiskeyjack, Bronin, Adder and (sigh) the chicken
You mark several allies with a flaming rune. This rune does not cause damage and sheds light as if it were a torch. While the firebrand burns, any creature it marks is immune to damage from any fire spell you cast. All of the target’s weapons (both natural and manufactured) inflict +1d6 points of fire damage on a hit (this bonus fire damage stacks with any amount of fire damage a creature’s weapons might already inflict). At any point during the spell’s duration, a creature bearing a firebrand can launch a beam of fire at any target within 30 feet as a swift action. This ray requires a ranged touch attack to hit and deals 6d6 points of fire damage. Once a creature uses its firebrand to fire a ray in this manner, the effects of the spell end for that creature.
What happens. You all get a firey rune pop up on your forehead. It shines as bright as a torch.
Don't panic. It is not going to hurt you. It will make your weapons catch alight, and my fire spells will not hurt you now. Expect many fire spells. You know me. Bronin did you know there is a hole in the back of your pants? Focus, focus. Get ready for them to teleport to attack.
