That was crazy but fun. Now fendahl is really tapped. And we did not yet find our quarry.

In a different AP I am playing, we just past the 1year mark for two days in-game.

Yep. Don't mind the long combats myself. Unless it is because we have to wait days between rounds, then it can get frustrating. Not so frustrating if you have a head's up though.

Besides, I want to linger on and really enjoy this scenario sequence as it is somewhat special being a seeker thing and all.

Oh yeah, length of combat doesn't worry me at all as long as we're all having fun.

Luisila is also tapped out of resources. I'm home now, but in no state to contribute meaningfully to any discussions.

Give me 15 hours or so ... or she will go along with the majority.

Sorry guys - I ended up sick on Monday, and now I'm playing catch-up at work. Next update will probably be late this afternoon or this evening.

I've added a new page to the slideshow for tracking buffs. Please list (one per line) what is active on you as we move into the next encounter. Include Caster Level, when you cast/started it, and duration where appropriate. That way I can remember who has what. :-)

I thought of this during a 14th level combat I'm playing in where I took a full attack from a bad guy, then over the course of several posts people reminded the GM of different buffs they had cast on me, forcing him to re-calculate damage and effects.

I've tried out the buffing sheet, GM Rinaldo. Let me know if that's the format/info you're looking for.

Luisila only has freedom of movement active at the moment, CL 12 (2 hour duration) cast in the fifth to last round of the medusa fight.

I added mine too, though I left out the exact time the spell was cast if it did not matter, and included my caster level in the header rather than repeat it for each spell.

Heads up to all of my PbP games: things are going to slow down a bit for the next two weeks.

November 7-9 I will be attending a professional conference. I will be unable to post at all during the day but may get a chance to check in during the evening.

November 13-16 I will be on vacation at a board game convention in Texas. I may post before bed some nights, but then again may not. ;-)

Back from a lovely vacation and facing a mountain of email and backlogged issues. I hope to get my games resumed this evening after work!

I feel your pain. I accumulate about 50 emails a work day if I'm gone, not counting all the status emails botted to me that I ignore for the most part. I spend a good hour chugging my way through the backlog the day I come back from a long vacation, some of which come with someone standing over my shoulder wanting a response (literally at times). There are times I'll spend an hour the night before coming back to go through the emails to spare myself the stress in the morning.

Sorry for the absence. I've been having a harder time than usual recently. I took a week-ish-long road trip by myself before Thanksgiving, and was hospitalized along the way in a town I'd never been to and where nobody I knew lived after a nervous breakdown just from cumulative "it-all."

It's a tough call whether to use Judgment Light or not, but think I'll wait. There may be other enchantments forthcoming which will benefit more from the reroll. Though giving the whole party (well those within 30') a +2 sacred bonus to AC is nothing to sneeze at. But she could also use it for forceful strike, which will do an addition 25 damage and bull rush someone into a chasm or for Burst of Speed which is almost like a DDoor with attack when hasted like this. And spending a round blinded is no big deal since it will give her a chance to cast another buff. Perhaps the blindness will only last one round!

Lol - good. I had run that one for my two boys just for fun a couple months ago as their second adventure. They enjoyed it as well.

I don't believe Marta has any idea Luisila has that scroll ready as she cannot see and I don't think Luisila mentioned it.

I'm not sure how Marta would interpret that.

I am ok with a little retcon conversation to make that more clear - I'll allow that Marta knows Luisila can cast the scroll, or can simply point Marta in the right direction and keep her from walking off the cliff. ;-)

Vladek and I have had a conversation regarding the Rod of Wonder. To avoid running further afoul of the "no PvP" custom in PFS, any effect that I roll that would negatively affect a PC will instead "backfire" onto Qadathra. That lets him have the fun of the random effects without risking anyone but himself.

That is probably for the best. As a player I did not mind, and find it entertaining.

However, my all too serious samurai/shaman was probably one more ill affect on the party from wanting to dispatch the creature with his katana.

Even though I had Marta react with a bit of peevishness, I have no problem with the rampant chaos caused by the little troublemaker. For my part I give him permission to affect my character accidentally and we can RP the fallout. It does make sense, though, that the player would need to give that permission under normal circumstances.

Vladek, has Qadathra still got those beads of force?

Maybe using them is an option in this situation?

Marta could use flight. But she can also use her repeating crossbow or shuriken if she does not have the ability to fly, so using an icy prison or something might work out better.

Sure. Just not sure how long my summon(s) can last, and I suspect the phoenix would have quite high SR and saves.

As I've already proven, all it takes is a nat 1.

*grumble*

But I think both tactics are fine. You have some really good spells to sling, but it would be nice to get into melee with some of those flyers too. Up to you.

It's there at the top.

The nice thing about it being in the tag line on your profile is that is shows when we are in preview mode. The one at the top does not. Also, we don't have to scroll up as far, typically, if it is also on your tag line.

The bad thing is that if you are GMing a bunch of games under the same avatar it can get messy to have a link there for every game you are GMing and can be a pain to keep current.

That latter is why I don't - I GM three or four games at a time.

I recommend bookmarking the page in your browser, as the link is never going to chance.

I will on vacation from Dec 21 through 27. I will continue to post, just at different times, and there may be gaps (such as while I am travelling at the start and end).

If anyone else has holiday travel or other time away, let me know.
