Old temple. Got it. That'll give me a bit to go on for prep.
My plan is to get things moving as soon as possible. Figure I can continue catching up with the thread while we get things moving. Not sure how long it takes to get the campaign moved as far as GM stuff goes.

Sounds good, good sir. If you need salient points, I'm your man. The halflings tend to see the world from a slightly lower, hence skewed, incline, the swordsman tends to be succinct to a fault, and the firestarter prefers to speak with his rolled eyes, which can interpreted like a Magic 8 Ball depending on how hard you shake him.

GM Lareg--
We love RollD20, however, one of the squishy things about it is that to access it from a mobile device (like an Ipad or Ipod, as I often do), it requires a more advanced account.
Can I forward you some monies to cover it? I don't know how much it is, but it worthwhile if we're going to use RollD20 for our maps.
Fleas and thanks,
Ami
My first round action is going to reflect my lack of map access...please feel free to adjudicate as you see fit.

Lareg |

I'll look into Roll20 account details for sure. I got some sort of link from player in a past campaign that I was running so I want to check over the account I have to be sure it isn't already set up.
Haven't gotten the map set up yet so no worries on the access bit. I figure for this first little bit we'll go a bit loose on the tactical side of things.

Lareg |

Everyone set up in Roll20 should see the map for the Ruins of Kalmarane. Figure this will help us coordinate the route / destinations you all have in mind.
Edit: Followed up on my account with Roll20. I'm set up with a free account. Can set up basic subscription to get mobile stuff added. Can go either $5 / month OR $50 / year.

Cool! We have a new home. :)
Gets all settled in.
For reference, here's the treasure sheet link again for the top of the page: (link)

Joining on the 'about to be AWOL' thing...
As a heads-up, I'll be at Pacificon this weekend, the 29th through the 1st. I will try and check the boards each night and make sure I'm not missing something super important, but posting will be minimal. GMPC my character if necessary.

Amiamble Piddlespot |

I will be traveling all over heck from 8/30 to 9/20 or so. I *should* have internet access most of the days, save for when I'm in the air or on a long hikes through wherevertheheck I am.
Most of the places I will be staying will have internet, but cannot promise anything. I expect that I'll be usual 'charming' and able-posting yahoo for most of the vacation.
However, if you're waiting on me for more than 8 hours, feel free to GMPC me.
Ye have been duly warned.

Aldebert Piddlespot |

I'm happy to chip in. How much was it? Send me your Paypal info I guess (efernsler@gmail.com). I think I can figure out how to do that... or maybe I'll just send you a check. heheheh. Drop me an email with the details either way. :D

Lareg |

I did the annual for $50. Will send info. soonish. Working on maps in Roll20 for old shrine.
Speaking of which, it seemed like you all explored the shrine some so I'm going to make some basic assumptions about traps and the like. If you recall specifics about the areas explored that would be helpful, but from Mahdi's comments about carvings I have a pretty good idea of how much you all explored.

Amiamble Piddlespot |

I'm happy to chip in as well.
If you email me (address is in my profile), I'll happily Paypal you monies. Or Aldebert can contribute and I'll pay half.
Whatever works.

Lareg |

I owe some of you emails / PMs concerning Roll20 costs. Will try to get to that this weekend.
As our very own gnome is aware, I have a family expansion on the horizon. My wife is due the 15th so we may have a second child anytime in the next week.
Needless to say posting will slow down and likely be restricted to when I'm teaching (like I am now). Anyhow, really enjoying the game so far and we haven't even gotten to the scripted content yet. Wanted to give you all a heads up.

Pent Arotha |

Much obliged, Papa-san. Cousin in Guatemala just welcomed their second, so we're looking forward to hearing you weathered the birthing process like Mahdi and Kul navigated the mudslide.
Oooooo. I see what you did there!!! Only small folk made the transition into the cave smoothly!!! This is metaphor at its finest!!!!

Amiamble Piddlespot |

Totally subconscious birthing metaphors. That's what happens when Ami makes a crazy high perception roll.
Wait! Are you saying that Ami's eyes made your wife preggo?!
That must be a new oracle power that I hadn't seen yet. Sweet.
Ami glares at Mrs. Arotha.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Speaking of birthing metaphors!!!!
It is my honor to announce, on this thread no less, that Lareg has been blessed this day with spawn!!! And it's human(+2 to any stat)!!! And female(+2 to Wisdom)!!!
More importantly, he gave the blessed girl 'Pent' for a middle name!!! I could not be more thrilled... well, it could have been her first name, all things considering, but that would be asking too much...
Congratulations, DM Lareg!!

Kul Tiryaki |

Sorry, I assumed you would shoot me a private message using Paizo's mail system. You can reach me at willj at cvpathfinder dot com (remove spaces and fix special characters first).

Pent Arotha |

Just so I'm clear, and not losing touch with our reality, we're entering the Shrine to Nethys again, and encountering renewed sphinxes? Since there was sphinx destruction before, I wanted to make sure :)

Mahdi al-Jabira |

Well, I don't think we know/knew the numbers of the respective areas, unless I missed something glaringly obvious, so 'area 7' doesn't mean much to me, alas. But then, my memory is complete s@$*e sometimes.
Unrelatedly, the county helpfully just sent me 2.5 months' backpay, so I'd be happy to chip in now as well to the Roll20. Paypal account e-mail is fragilion at gmail dot com.

Pent Arotha |

In somewhat quick synopsis, we took quite a hit getting through the chokers, so we called it a day, and returned to the monastery after our first excursion.
Our second excursion acquainted us with the Mists past the Guard Duck, and we visited the pillars of awesome spells, the altar of screwy snakes, and even encountered the wereleopard in the chamber of the flying ship, which left us with no black on the map, if I remember correctly.
While Mahdi seeks to study for hours in the hall of pillars, Pent is set on the Nebulizer of Nethys, and all the mist he can breathe again.

Amiamble Piddlespot |

As far as Roll20, that's great. I still owe Kul an email so I'll try and send you both details tonight.
You got monies from some Rand yahoo, right?
