Charisma Rerolls: A PC can spend a Harrow Point to reroll a Charisma-based check. She must abide by the new result (although if she has additional Harrow Points remaining, she can use them to attempt additional rerolls).

Destiny Shall Not Be Denied: A PC can spend a Harrow Point as an immediate action to force the GM to reroll a d20 roll. She must abide by the new result (although if she has additional Harrow Points remaining, she can use them to force additional rerolls).

Psychic Wrath: A PC with levels in a class that grants bonus spells based on her Charisma score can spend a Harrow Point to increase the power of a spell from that class’s spell list as she casts it. She increases the spell’s DC by 2 and gains a +4 bonus on caster level checks to overcome spell resistance and a +2 bonus on attack rolls for that spell.

Roll Card: Gain a +2 bonus on all Charisma-based checks. In addition, he treats his caster level as if it were 1 higher when casting spells gained from a class that grants bonus spells based on his Charisma score.

A note about my rolls: I forgot to add my vicious aim, so the damage is actually 2 points higher per hit. In case the bad girl is an evil outsider it is even 4 higher.

I've got a question for you, GM. If Sebastian pulls himself into the pool, what happens next? Does he stay prone in the pool and start drowning, or does that constitute not being able to carry out the action and breaking the spell? Usually, enchantments can't compel targets to take self-destructive actions, but I thought I'd check with you before I do something stupid.


No, you wouldn't be drowning. You're more on your knees than laying face down. But even if you were face down and at risk of drowning, that wouldn't be the spell's fault. The spell can't compel you to take self-destructive actions, but the spell isn't compelling you into the water either.

You can go in the fountain if you want to. It's icky water though.

You're compelled to stay prone as long as you're able. Bringing yourself in a situation where you're not able anymore is acting on purpose against what you're compelled to do. Just my 2cents worth.

But the problem of low will saves is a serious one. I thought mine is bad for the level (I'm terrified of exactly such situations) but a will save of +0 can't be fixed without tremendous amounts of money. But there is a nice workaround that could be done by the party. Not yet as it's a 5th level spell but dominate person would allow for example Iolana to give anyone under the control of BBEG orders helpful for the party and it would be resolved via an opposing Charisma check vs. BBEG. Which would have far better chances of success.

Which raises the question, how different compulsion spells work against each other.

Dispell magic would work too. But the bad guy usually has the higher caster level which would make that a hard one. But still better than 1d20 >= 19.

Or the good old protection from evil that prevents any compulsion from evil creatures.

Tyrando can set his experience to this total as well since everyone levels up evenly.

As all level together and you obviously tell when I don't need to write it down, or do I?

Also XP are evil in my opinion. The numbers caused me almost to scream out "Hey lets kill that bottled demon he's worth at least these 3500XP we need for the next level."

Bad Foxy, back down. We're doing role playing here. No XP farming. Stop thinking about it.

Probably no problem for you, but I have to make a will save to keep roleplaying and not base my decisions on economics when I see such numbers.

Ayako will no doubt be carrying the healing wands since is the only one who can use them reliably.

If this is like christmas, here's my wishlist:
Cloak of resistance +2 (although I think Sebastian needs it more)
+1 Amulet of natural armor (either the bonus is wrong or the price in the list)
+1 Ring of protection
+2 Periapt of wisdom (also to raise will saves so also an option for Sebastian instead)

But I got to spend a lot of gold on equipment so you might be more in need of it.


Definitely take treasure guys.

I agree with the list of things to sell. Most of the scythes aren't useful to us. We could sell those too.

I'm down for trading armor up, but are you sure Ayako can't make use of a jester's motley suit of leather? The human-bane rapier is nice; Sebastian could have the wererat-made rapier sold in his parents shop and donate the proceeds back to the wererats, while simultaneously spreading the word about wererat craftsmanship. And if nobody has a claim, the +1 Light Crossbow would be good to have too.

The bonus to Will saves would be nice, but selling the periapt of wisdom and the headband of intellect to get a Charisma-boosting item for either of our casters is a better use; there are cheaper ways to pump Will saves if it comes to that, and I'm considering taking Iron Will as a feat next level.

I agree with GM Peachbottom. Everything you can put to good use you should. Because selling and buying specific stuff costs you half your loot value.

And I guess the money to buy some headband of alluring charisma will be left anyway. As for cheaper. Cloak of resistance+2 is 4000. Getting one +3 costs 9000. Same result with not selling the periapt of wisdom and not getting 2000. So you have +3 for 6000. And even with all of that and iron will you're at +5. That'd be decent for now. I'm pretty sure the casting ladies would prefer you to have a decent chance to stand in the front line, instead of giving in to some magic effect. As of now Iolana has +4, Ayako +10 and I get +2 (+4vs charm and compulsion). I deem it a good investment to put all that stuff on you to get you to +3 (and +5 with Iron Will).

As for the headband of intellect. I'd take that if you take the cloak and the wisdom periapt. It would get me additional skill points I could use to be able to roll some more knowledge skills by putting at least one rank in. It won't become very good due to lack of high Int but would help some.


Ayako runs off of CHA so she would want Alluring Charisma. +1 Chain is fine for me. So +1 Chain for me and +1 Mithril Shirt for Sebsation, that should allow you to acrobat around easier.

No claim here for the +1 Lightcrossbow

The Viscous Scythe can be sold as well

A potion of Barkskin for someone could give a handy +4 Natural AC for a tough fight.

Ayako is primarily a buffer/ranged fighter so slinging rocks and spells will be things she does So

+1 Sling(to be upgraded perhaps with more stuff)
Headband of Alluring Charisma(Or other suitable garment)

She will start using Searing Lights as well and do some summoning(3 and 4. Will also plan to get Blessing of Fervor for hastes)


I've listed your names next to the various items in the treasure sheet based on the discussion forum comments. Check if it looks correct or make any changes.

The only two items I think are in question, the Headband of Int and the Incense of Meditation. Keep or sell?

The couple of potions Lucien had will be added back into the party pool as well.

Get what you think you'll need now because there is very little opportunity to shop in Chapter 3.
