I think I have found a replacement if everyone one else is up to keep this rolling. It looks like there are a few things from the chief that need closer inspection as well as a few places to check on the way out (the big key still has an undiscovered purpose).

Actually right...not far from Yahoo. I live literally across the street from Twitter and Uber (though not Uber exists in NL). And I used to work for the Wikimedia Foundation...of which we have a strong NL community.

And the Google is nearby too, I suppose, but they are all over the place.

So it turns out that I am going through some serious things right now that I feel need my full attention and unfortunately I am shirking my duties here to post everyday. I am sorry to disappoint gang but I need to get myself in order and take a step back. I hope that you all understand.

So I reached out to most of the players (sorry Kludde I do not have you on Google chat) and have decided to put the game on hold for now rather then lose more players. I will check in with everyone in 2 weeks and see how things are going and possibly set a new start date.

It looks like my schedule is going to mellow (no more out-of-town trips or controversial contract renewals for weeks if not months), so I should be ready to go if/when things start up again.

Looks like everyone is back. Just to get you back into theme with the recent events in Belhaim. The old tower collapsed and appears to be the work of the wizard Hunclay. It looks like the wizard was working with a local kobold tribe to engineer the collapse of the tower, but the wizard was killed as he was underneath said tower when it collapsed.

Fearing the town was in danger from the kobold tribe the group was sent to drive them out. While making their way through the lair the adventurers came across a female kobold named Nighttail. Working with Nighttail the heros overthrew the kobold chief and placed Nighttail in charge of tribe on the condition she relocate.

After returning from their success with the kobold the heros are given another task. Explore the dead wizards estate and remove any threats or traps so his belongings can be auctioned off. After resting up the group headed back into town where they took some of the magical items they discovered from the kobold cave to be identified. The local alchemist is willing to preform the task for a small fee if someone is willing to pay.

It might also be a good idea to check the campaign thread to look at some of the rumors around town and what equipment the party might collectively have.

Davros yawns and stretches, shaking loose the cobwebs that accumulate during hours of restfulness. Davros sets off to find his companions for the myriad tasks that need to be accomplished.

Sorry - this week ended up being a triple/quadruple bogey - including *two* brand new sets of glasses with incorrect prescriptions, pupil dilations for extended periods of time, and a change in medication which left me even more fuzzy-minded-than-usual in addition to my blurred-vision.

(Oh yes, and we've discovered a certain someone seems to be inadvertently logging into my account and checking this game, explaining why I don't always see "new messages" when I check on the status of the games.)

Hopefully being able to see again and realizing I cannnot rely on "new" as an indicator will allow me to post (more) regularly. (I'm hoping I can continue in a more reliable manner, but if not, it might be time for another fourth.)

You know, the legalistic nonsense did land me a new job. Hooray for challenging new opportunities! ;-)

going to save some time here and point out that even with taking a 20 Aodan is unable to get the gate open.

Sorry again about this week. I swore I posted Aodan's take 20 post yesterday, but.... clearly getting the correct prescription would be helpful. Now if I could blame all inattention and ditzi-ness to biofocals that aren't bifocals, I'd have excuses for everything....

Side note to DM: Aodan has Magical Knack, making his effective Wizard CL to be 3, so I think he can cast the standard Knock scroll without a chance of CL failure.
