Tarkov
Tarkov is now leveled up to 2nd :) I also purchased a new bedroll - as he did not want to use his last one after it had been a mould sheath corpse cover, and 1 of the 2 artisan's outfits he purchased went on the body while the other is being left at The Forge and he is wearing his cleaned explorers outfit. He now has +5 in every knowledge except History and Geography - feel free to roll for him on Knowledges to speed things along GM Infinity.
Tarkov
Wand:Yep, roll again in a few days. I'm fine saying that your conversation with Joram took place a day ago, in which case it would be ready by now.
So would it be reasonable to assume we could pick up the wand when we get Water breathing in the morning to go under the hill?
Tarkov
Tarkov will probably pick up Androffan next level, it just seemed a little abrupt at this point, and Zael speaks it already, there could be other languages that come up I suppose.
Tarkov
@GM Infinity could you uncross off the items on the treasure sheet? As they seem to be throwing off the values for Total Wealth, and that is IMO the most useful figure. Maybe just type an X in front of the items name instead?
Tarkov
Er, I think so, I just want a running total that does not exclude stuff we are keeping essentially. It probably is not necessary for us to see all of the stuff on the slide if you have it on a spreadsheet since it will likely get overlong pretty quickly.
Would it be possible to add a couple of categories? Something like a current total share for each character? And goal available? At the moment Zael sort of owes the kitty so the rest of us could not spend our full shares - though the fact that Jade has left and Tarkov has not spent any of his share means this is not a problem now it could potentially become on later.
I think with the Agate and after the purchase of the Wand, -150 each, shares should be 108.6
Krah 108.6 - believe Krah has spent some of this?
Tarkov 108.6
Zael -141.4
Tessara -16.4
Jade 108.6
Available Gold 168 - 108.6 to cash Jade out = 59.4gp
This excludes the gambling money.
I'm a bit worried Krah might have spent more money than we actually had available if he was taking from his share. But my math could very well be off in more than one place.
It seems like we would need to cash Jade out so our available gold is actually pretty low.

I would prefer this for simplicity's sake. I'll just do a total per dungeon haul. PCs claim loot they want without penalty. We can then do party purchases and get a per PC sum, then apply individual purchases on your sheets yourselves. So for example, for the first haul and few days of downtime:
1293 stepping out of dungeon
918 after Zael and Tess take their items
1227 after gambling (Tarkov +200, Zael +106, Krah +3, Tess +?)
727 after wand purchase (as party) 500 (750 - 20%)
181.75 before PC individual purchases
so go see what you just bought, and take 181.75 minus that (don't forget 20% discount) and put it on character sheet. Next time we get back in town, we'll do the same.
Tarkov
I may be misunderstanding, but if I am reading that right I am deeply unhappy with it. It sounds like the PCs that take stuff do not pay for it, then the gambling profits get split, which does not make sense in character at to me at all. How would you explain that in character? Because Tarkov would see no reason to share his winnings, other than perhaps getting the drinks in.
I don't see how it makes sense that someone who takes 250gps worth of stuff comes out with the same amount as those who took nothing, and I don't like trusting that things will just even out over time. Those PCs are already getting half price items - and we all should be encouraged to take items that way - they don't need them free.
I would much prefer a simple system, but not one as unfair as that. Call me petty, but feeling like I am getting shafted does not make for a fun game for me; and I do realize that its likely who is benefiting will swing back and forth, but it always seems like someone ends up royally screwed, be it because they only use one type of weapon, are playing a class that does not fit the loot well, or are too laid back to speak up when they want things.
If we find a +1 Adamantine Construct Bane Greatsword, Tarkov would be all over it, but I would feel much more comfortable knowing I owe the party x amount than just holding back for the next few items.
And honestly I am terrible at explaining this stuff, but I don't think its too bad...
1293 out of dungeon
-600 (750 - 20%) You had it -33% I think?
693
138.6 PC share
-Sale Value of Equipment Taken
Each PC works out their share, and can go negative so long as the overall amount is not negative.
As for the Wand pricing I was thinking that the 20% off offer specifically referred to mundane items, but looking back I see it did not - nice :)
GM Infinity
Heh, ok that seems inconsistent from my perspective, but whatever is fine honestly. And yes typo on the wand. So you are saying:
Loot from dungeon: all converted to party gold, PC pays price later if wanted. So if you want to wear that ring of prot, or drink that potion you just found for the next fight, gotta pay for it
Loot from other places: individual PC gets all
Tarkov
Pretty much, but loot from other places I would say what makes sense, if the group performs as Krah and the Warblers they split the money if Zael and Tessara perform a haunting planeterium accompanied duet they split the money between themselves.
I really would love a simpler system, but one of my subtypes is miser and character flaw or no a less structured system gets on my wick. Generally speaking not being backwards about coming forwards I would end up making out like a bandit, but feeling guilty.

Sorry about the weekend, friends over and the baby wasn't liking this "sleep at evenings" concept we have taken as custom, so I didn't even realize it was Saturday on Saturday until about 3 PM. Catching up on what has happened (and Paizo seemed to have eaten my update to Zael, so will redo that too).
Zael the Archaeologist
1) I would so buy that shirt. Size L if you have one available, ;)
2) When you say that the Metro tried to kill y'all, do you mean that it was especially hectic, there was an accident that nearly involved you, or that it suddenly started casting fireballs at you? Joking aside, glad you guys are ok.
Tarkov
I just thought that was what inner city transport systems were meant to do :) - seems like that is true of every experience on the Tube over here. They do always seem to be exhausting.
Tessara Winkol
Okay so full story was that Monday I went to DC with my family. Since graduation, we've had are more distant family from Florida stay with us and they wanted to see the capital while they were up here.
So, we park at Strathmore station and take the red line all the way to Metro Rental, then the blue line to Smithsonian station, easy as that. But the madness began coming back at the end of the day. We finally get to the station that we parked at. Me, my aunt and my father all get off. I went first because I had to get my grandmother's (only by a now long dead marriage) wheel chair off. As soon as she gets to the door, the doors close on her and another guy whom was getting in. They both had one arm in the thing trying to get from opposite sides.
If it wasn't for this one big hurry dude on the train whom pulled the doors back, I don't know what would have happened. Strange enough, they were the only doors to close.
Zael the Archaeologist
... most assuredly that would fall under the "developed a grudge and tried to cast a fireball at you" option. Glad everyone was OK.
Zael the Archaeologist
Figure that I should put this here before it comes up. Zael will give you guys a warning that he is going to close the doors prior to doing so, and will even give you what he feels to be enough time to get out. But he once that time elapses, he will almost certainly close the doors even if all of you are still inside (though probably not if you are right at the door and just need a heartbeat further to get through it first) under the premises that 1) these things need to be contained until they can be further researched for vulnerabilities, preferably by a priest; and 2) he did give you a warning and time to withdraw prior to sealing you in. Just a friendly heads up, he isn't there yet, but if these things turn into some giant amalgamation or it becomes apparent that brute force just isn't going to keep them down permanently, he will get there.
Zael the Archaeologist
So yeah, Zael is really hoping that either 1) This thing will talk to him and convey what it wants, or 2) his companions will finally do what he has been asking and pull out of the hot zone (preferably dragging Tarkov's almost dead form) so that he can seal it away for now. Impressive reveal though. One follow up though, did the reanimating tendrils that were controlling the skeletons all get sucked in too, or are they still attempting to bring them back to life?
GM Infinity
Poor choice of words on my part I'm afraid, the tendrils of the aberration and the tendrils of the skeleton regeneration are not the same. The aberration's are actual tendrils...slimy octopus appendages. The skeletons are like magic visual effects, wisps of divine energy that resemble roots...or hairs. And yes the skeletons continue to slowly regenerate. It would probably take hours at the rate they are going.
You'll get a chance to speak with Hetuath and truly find out wtf is happening, but now isn't the time. Of course Zael doesn't know that. It will be cool though, this and the next few areas are what Numerian Archaeologist trait was made for.
