-BACKSTORY-
Tessara Winkol started her career as a bouncer for the many local bars and casinos in the seedy Riddleport. For Tessara, it was a rather lonely life, born a bastard child to parents she never knew, and looked often down upon for her mixed heritage. The Half-Orc woman had only one friend, an elven woman by the name of Dalnine Foriis whom worked as a show girl for one the dance hall Tessara worked for. The two lived together as roommates, scrounging up a small living in hopes to one day move out of the city to places such as Absalom.

An unfortunate event led to the sudden murder of Dalnine at the hands of a rather violent drunken patron after the elven women refused to attend to go with home with him. In the small apartment that the two called home, Tess sat down on her bed and inspecting the belongings of her dearly departed and only friend. As she inspected Delnine’s jewelry box, a necklace caught her eye, a holy symbol made to venerate the goddess Calistria. A sudden rage filled her, stoking anger held down by sadness as she clutched the necklace in her hands.

After a week’s time, she managed to track her friend’s murderer, with help from the temple to Calistria whom happily obliged in the Half-Orc’s quest for vengeance. A bribe or two and a little use of what little feminine wiles she could muster managed to get her enough time in the poor sops cell. As Tessara stabbed the life out of him, a rush of divine serenity filled her body leaving her in an almost euphoric state.

Returning to the temple to confirm that the deed was done; priests and others of the temple noticed the strange aura that emanated from her. Tess had been touched by the goddess and rewarded with that of what could be said to be an inquisitor of the faith. At first such revelation angered her, wanting nothing to do with the temple, and be done with it all and leave Riddleport. But, the high priestess of the temple chose to give an offer: to work as a temple guard, and be paid with all the luxuries she could ask for, as long as she was in service to them and be a holy enforcer and protect those that would do harm to the various prostitutes whom venerated the goddess. With much deliberation, Tess decided to accept the offer.

Tessara main reason she is in Torch is because she is in some ways stuck there. Sent out to find a missing group of priestesses in Numeria, the Calistrian Inquisitor found only there remains, soon herself attacked by the same strange metal men that them. Barely escaping with her life, Tess vowed to take revenge for their deaths and to wipe Numeria of the Automaton threat.

-ALLIES AND ENEMIES-
Dalnine Foriis: A Elven woman whom was very kind to Tessara. A show girl for one the dance halls in Riddleport, the two became close friends. The two squabbled together a small amount of wealth in hopes of finding a new home. However, Delnine had been working as a prostitute, much to the dismay of Tess, to help finance this. This line of work would eventually lead to her death.

Riley Bachner: A fellow temple guard, Riley was sent out to aide Tessara in Numeria. Happy and often very willing of the majority of Calistrian practices, Tess despised him in a one way fashion. It was still unfortunate that he too was killed in her first confrontation with the roving bands of metal men. While she may have disliked him, in his death she fights with him in her memory.

Elana Fontaine: Unlike many of her fellow priest and priestesses, Elana had no care for Tessara what so ever. Seeing her as just another half breed oaf. She questioned the idea that Tess had been blessed by the goddess and was outright angered by the temples willingness to flat ou accept her as a true inquisitor of Calistria. Tess herself does not like Elana, and refuses often to outright work with her.

-SECRETS-
1.) It was Tess's fault for not walking back Delnine home, which led to her death. Something she has been pain staking to hold back.

2.)The man she murdered, whom killed her friend Delnine, was actually her father.
