So, my work stress anxiety situation resolved itself... Now I'm just with uncertainty about what's next for me where I work. The next few months are more or less known but after that is less so. In the meantime I'm dealing with discouragement, disappointment, disengagement, etc. I'm honestly not sure what all this means for my ability to keep playing but I'm going to hope that I'll be able to resume as I was before.

So my battle plan is to A) get caught up on all my games, slowly (I am behind by as many as 60 posts in some games; namely this one!) and then B) stay caught up as much as I can.

I have a lot of family coming to visit this week and a lot of prep to do, but I did take the week off. Expect to hear from me in gameplay soon!

Like a lot of US folks on the boards, I am likely to be off of my usual posting schedule through Sunday. I'll try to keep an eye on my games and will probably be able to post daily as needed, but may miss a day here or there. (Also, my daughter - eldest child - gets home tonight and there will be much rejoicing!)

I'm also busy this week, though some was self-inflicted. My division at work is having a chili cook-off today, and I foolishly decided to enter my green chile stew. Of course it's best when you roast the chiles and tomatillos, and you can't just put the cubed pork in without dredging it in flour and frying it.... Anyway, it's done, but tonight I have to make up a few batches of pie crust.

I just realized that I forgot to level Tara to 8; I had her leveled on my personal computer, but did not update her on my profile;

Biggest change: Gained access to her 8th level Repose domain ability: Ward against Death.

Also she gained another 4th and 3rd level spell slot.

I'll be at a conference for work this week and will probably need to be botted throughout the week.

(Posting on all of my games) Sorry to be slow to post lately - work has been very busy. Finally finishing for the night at 2am, and will jammed tomorrow too until at least late afternoon (around 15 hours from this post).

Sorry for the long silence - our daughter’s college is closing the dorms and moving classes online and I’ve been distracted with the logistics. We finally decided my wife would just drive out (~900 miles) starting tomorrow, help her pack, then drive her back with her stuff. Our son’s high school is still open (for now), but other stuff is getting cancelled left and right. Working on catching up on my games today and tomorrow.

I am in the same boat, except our high school was also cancelled now. Luckily, I had a much closer drive to bring mine back home...

My kids are both out of school, so that's one thing I don't have to worry about. If things get really hairy I can do a lot of my work from home, but we'll see if it comes to that.

My wife and daughter got her dorm room packed up today, and they will start driving home in the morning. About 6 hours after my Thursday morning post about our daughter's college closing, my office announced we were closing until Monday, March 23 for "deep cleaning" because one of our employees had developed COVID-19. I suspect that return date will slip, but I'll be working from home at least until then. I had to be in court on Friday morning, but that should be the last time for a while because our courts are closing for a month. Friday afternoon, our governor also announced that all schools in the state must close for the next two weeks starting Tuesday; I think the schools are open Monday primarily to give people a chance to get things from their lockers and classroom.

I'm more grateful than ever for the play-by-post games I'm in; I can't think of a better way to take our minds off of the stress of the current situation.

I'm glad businesses and governments are taking it seriously. I wish they had done so sooner, but no use losing sleep over it.

It never rains but it pours... My grandfather fell off a tricycle today and hit his head. He is in the hospital, possibly on his death bed. Most of the things keeping me from pbp have been positive life things but this one really sucks.

Sorry to hear that. I hope, at least, that he's not in a lot of pain.
