I didn't plan that, actually. Didn't use the word buglike in my character submission once, since I couldn't figure out how to highlight his small abdominal region in the right way. I mostly just liked the way the gs sounded.

All fine with me, Doro. I just wasn’t sure how closely you’d want to align with a demon-worshipping antipaladin, and Niculaie has serious reservations about it on his own.
That said, Niculaie will go along with the group if there is a consensus to go another way.

Sorry about my absence; I'm currently dealing with a minor health issue that is causing me to be exhausted half the time and tired the other half. According to my doctor it should clear itself up in a month or two.

I don't think we can say yet, but maybe Gregor is too optimized? I can rebuild him a bit to lower some of his stats if that starts to seem like a good idea.

Two things occurred to me yesterday. When a character is uber-optimized, it can be certainly satisfying to see it work as intended, but it sort of takes the fun out of playing it if there is no challenge. Now, as a GM, I would generally try to scale to make it challenging, but with the published AP, it gets hard to try and make those adjustments on the fly without accidentally going too far (and getting a TPK!) Having said that, though, I wouldn't worry about it too much. There are likely to be plenty of variety where this won't always be the case. And if does make it more interesting for me to have to give it some thought!
The other issue here, though, is that this is a heavy AoO build, and in PbP that will tend to slow the game down a lot since we have to either stop and wait for a decision, or write a choose-your-own-adventure book to account for all the possibilities. In face-to-face, this is certainly not a problem.
In any case, I say don't worry about it right now - let's see if we can find a rhythm that works first. Since this isn't a terribly fast moving group anyway, I think it will be ok.

I agree with most of what you said. I will add that I don't think Gregor is unreasonably built, he certainly doesn't have a tumor familiar using wands every turn, for example. I also feel that he has weaknesses. For example, in wolf form, werewolves have more than two legs, so they get a bonus against tripping. He also has a mediocre Will save, and in certain circumstances his AC could dip to 20, which is not that much for an 8th level frontliner.
Anyway, so far I feel I've been able to resolve AoOs quickly enough. We shall see how things go.

This leads to an interesting question about conflicting spell effects. Until Estovian succeeds at a Will save against Niculaie's oneiric horror, Estovian will spend his full attack every round against an illusory creature only he can see. He has already failed until the end of his next turn. If Estovian had failed his save against Doro's Knight's Calling, compelling him to move towards Doro, which effect would win out?

This is the third campaign I've played Pontia in as a conjuration specialist wizard, and the last time I'd tried to play her was as a LE Chelaxian in an interesting homebrew campaign. In that game, she had a commune effect with Lamashtu, and survived the experience.
Definitely preferring Desna, here.

And speaking of the problem at hand, maybe I'm not as clear on what it is as I thought. The rest of you probably realized this already, but Estovian said that Mathus Mordrinacht and his ally Cybrisa Dorznahev were at the top of the tower - was Mathus the werewolf Doro killed in the mist that was covering the Dusk Moth (and did we ever loot his body)?
If he was, is our next step is to track down Vrood and the rest of his Whispering Way buddies to find the heart?

Yes Mathus was the werewolf and the caster that got away was the ally spoken of.
I agree we need to track down The Whispering Way.
I think a knowledge check of the whispering way might give us where these fights may be to happen. We know one of the clans of werewolves is tracking them, so if we knew which one we could try to find out which direction they are headed.

I believe you are correct about not looting the body, or Estovion for that matter. But let's just assume it was part of the cleansing.

While I expect that Pontia's elemental did in fact kill the ally, where her equipment landed is impossible to say.
What do you do with Estovion? He has been pretty quiet and compliant through all of this, although becoming a werewolf still is driving him nuts.
Also, there are still other werewolves in the area around the temple, and they are currently warring with each other.

I am just getting into 2e - I tried briefly at the beginning and it was too much new at the time, and I am runnin glike 5 APs in 1e, so it didn't seem worth the switch.
Since then, I played another game and had someone giving me constant advice, which actually gave me a whole new appreciation for it. So I already bought the bundle. I had a couple of the books already, but a whole AP for $25 sounded good to me. I have a huge Paizo library of PDFs, mostly from these Humble Bundles... they have worked quite well for me.

I believe the cleansing took a full day, so I would say you rested once within that window.
At this point, though, you have been travelling a few days by horse, so you can consider yourself rested if you are asking about spells, etc.

Those lantern archons are pretty sweet. Is it worth picking up Summon Monster 5 without investing in the summoning feats you've done, Pontia?

I think the only feat she has that boosts them is superior summoning, which makes one extra archon. But the main combo seems to be lots of attacks which target touch (so the lower level summon's weak attack bonus doesn't matter) and bardic inspiration to boost damage.

The individual archons are fragile, but against something with poor touch AC and no ranged attacks they're dangerous.
