Timmon, that is ok
Both Pillango and Belina fire an arrow; Pillango's arrow hits while Belina's arrow is deflected by the wooden scaffolding. The creature looks in anger at the woman that fired the arrow that hurt it and charges! It lashes out with one of it's claws and manages to hit the ninja, who feels very cold...
Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 5 = 23

Doubt I need a save with 0HP but if you'd like:
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Timmon Gall |
"Pilangro!" Timmon cries. "Illirio shoot it!"
Timmon delays until either after Illiro acts or just before the yeti acts. At that time, he will charge next to Pil (square NE of the yeti) and attack with his staff.
Staff v yeti, charge: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 2 = 20 .... damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Eyes averted, concealment, miss on 1-20: 1d100 ⇒ 78
Belina Bojan |
Belina fires another arrow at the creature. She averts eyes not making direct eye contact.

Talon, Smite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 for P,S: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Bite, Smite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 for B,P,S: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
As the eagle is "behind" the yeti, it isn't in the range of the glare, is it?
Heveel double moves behind the bell, not looking at the yeti.

Pillango stands staring at the yeti, not acting and apparently not seeing anything you are paralyzed. Hadid sends a sling stone in the general direction of the building. Belina shoots the scaffolding again and for good measure Illiro also fires an arrow into the wooden structure. Timmon runs forward and smacks the yeti on the head, distracting it from Pillango. An eagle then appears behind the yeti, flanking with Timmon. Unfortunately the animal only hits once with a talon.
The yeti lashes out at Timmon with two claws, hitting once. Pillango feels the fear leaving her body, she can move her muscles again!

Heveel: there is no facing in PF, given that the eagle is within 30 feet when it started its turn it has to make a save, but it made it.
If you are within 30 feet of the yeti at the start of your turn and did not make a successful save yet you need to choose:
Avert eyes: you have a 50% that you do not need to make a will save, but the creature gains concealment vs you
Close eyes: you do not need to make a will save, but you are blinded for the round.
Act normally: make a will save.
Heveel Ash'maïm |
Alright. Would Heveel know (with his previous check) if it is an ongoing effect (save each round) or if it's a one save?
GMG |
It is ongoing, but you also know that once you do not succumb to the effect (made a successful save) you are immune to the gaze of that yeti
Hadid |
Hadid closes his eyes to avoid the yeti's sightline, and steps forward to swing his whip.

Illirio mutters as his friends crowd around the yeti, making it nearly impossible for him to hit with his bow. Digging out a dab of butter, he smears it between his fingers and calls out an incantation.
"Oelum impactum!"

There are three doors into the building, left, center and right. Which one leads to the treasure?
Heveel Ash'maïm |
Heveel shrugs, as his eagle fades from existence. "I don't really care. I'd say we ring that bell and see from where someone is coming." he says with a slight smile.
Heveel Ash'maïm |
Oh! Right!
Before ringing anyone's bell, Heveel uses his favored wand, tapping lightly on his friends' unconscious bodies.

Unlike Pilangro, Timmon feels little shame. He has been on the losing end of beatings too many times. As always he is grateful for survival, and this gratitude focuses on Heveel as his savior for at least the third time since the trek from base camp. He is as eloquent as ever when expressing his feelings with a deep bow.
"Thank you, Heveel."
He cocks his head, frowning.
"You are a healer as jade amongst river stones. A friend as the lotus among blooming weeds. Please call upon me and mine for service until the third generation."
Timmon's player does feel a little embarrassed about using so many charges from your wand. Sometimes I wish there was a mechanism for transferring cash between PCs in PFS.

Left it is!
Eleven ruined mattresses and a few aged and cracked pots are this room’s only furnishings. A section of the ceiling has collapsed in the northwestern corner of the room, causing the wind to howl eerily as it blows over the building. A series of images has been carved into the still-standing sections of the room’s walls, each image indicating a humanoid in a series of different positions and stances. At the far end of the room you see two sets of double doors: one going east and one south.
Heveel Ash'maïm |
@Pil and Tim: No problem! We'll use some other wands in the next scenarios! And... these wands are meant to be used! ;)
Heveel stows his wand and offers Timmon and Pillango a cigarette. "Want some? It is said to repair soul-troubles too."
When the party chooses to go left, he enters the room and walks around, not understanding what it is. "Anyone know anything about this or should I contact Gozreh to tell us more about it?"
Pillango |
Taking the cigarette and deftly sliding it in to an interior pocket,
"Thank you again, this will be a fine reward after these trying days of near death, spills and thrills."
Surveying the room, east/south doors and rubble for anything hidden...

GMG |
You find nothing, except a huge pile of rubble. You think you might be able to find an entrance to a dungeon underneath, but that would take several hard days of labor and is out of scope of this series
Heveel Ash'maïm |
Heveel's eyes go wide and white as he smokes his cig.
"Gozreh... Tells me that... People used to live here. And... They don't live here at the moment because once, an angel came from heaven and his voice like thunder. He told an old man to wander in the sea, exept that the angel wasn't truly an angel, he was more like some dolphin. Or... a dog. Orange. With a little palm tree on his head. But the old man didn't care and just chose to dig a hole in the cloud."
He exhales a solid cloud.

He tries to adopt a pose, then transition smoothly to the next.
Thanks, Zinou.

Looking at Timmon and Illirio, Heveel wrinkles his eyes.
"Oh... How do you know that, Illirio? Are you like... a wizard?"
GMG |
Heveel, I will use that quote and get a huge amount of mileage out of it locally ;-)
You open the leftmost door and walk into a wide courtyard. The remains of four wooden training dummies stand in the northeast corner of this wide courtyard, while a few scraggly plants struggle to grow in the southeast corner. A cracked mosaic lies half-buried beneath years of dirt in the training ground’s center. On that mosaic another yeti stands, with a piece of statue in it's hands! As soon as it sees you it drops the statue and charges Pillango! The ninja crumbles to the ground....
