While Timmon is paying his respect to the shrine Pillango moves forward around the corner, investigating. She sees another shrine and something horrible running up to her. It is a humanoid creature with long, sharp teeth, and its pallid flesh is stretched tightly over its starved frame! It tries to throw Pillango from the cliff while it screams 食品. Unfortunately for the creature it stumbles over the smalls statue in the shrine, thus preventing it from throwing Pillango from the small path.

I can't get to Pil and attack. So I am leaving room for someone who can do something if they get ahead of me. Next turn I can try to 'acrobat' behind it and set up some flanks.

Then he looks at the unmoving Pillangro with some alarm. He reaches out to touch her bicep. "Pilangro, are you all right?"

We were still in initiative.... calling this one too.
Illirio remembers that ghouls have the ability to paralyze their opponents with a successful strike. Time is all that Pillango needs. And indeed, after half a minute she snaps out of it.
After making sure nobody is wounded you press on. The narrow mountain path ends at the lip of a fifty-foot-wide crevasse that stretches out of sight in both directions. A pair of carved stone pillars stands at the edge of the chasm and a matching pair of pillars can be seen on the far side. The remains of corroded iron chains, set within the stone pillars, dangle limply into the crevasse. A relatively gentle slope leads to the bottom of the crevasse. The slope on the far side is much steeper, and is covered with jagged, precarious-looking rocks.
50 foot climb DC15 to get down this side. The other side is more difficult, requiring 50 foot DC20 climb. The stone pillars are quite sturdy

Hadid pulls out a roll of silk rope, and ties it to one of the pillars nearby. The rope is just long enough to reach the bottom, but no more than that.
Any ideas on how we get the rope back after we're 50ft below the knot lol

Take 10 going down for 16. Non-climbers, don't forget Hadid's rope going down.
At the bottom he looks at Pillangro. The he looks up the tougher cliff; then, back at Pillangro. "This will be more difficult. Is there an easier route over there?"

With the rope it is an easy climb down DC5, everyone makes it and now stands at the bottom of the ravine. Timmon looks for an easier route up, but does not find one.

Forgetting to pay attention to the cliff, Heveel steps into emptiness but descends slowly down the cliff, landing safely. He has a permanent Feather Fall.
