It will be horrible to have to choose between your characters folks. I had so much fun reading your roleplay that I would recruit every single applicant if I could. Unfortunately, that would cause me to burn out completely and I think that would be the worst thing possible. It will be a tough decision for sure!

I hear that. It's more important you don't get overwhelmed. I think everyone can agree it's better that some of us to play, than none. GM burnout is never fun.

Good luck to everyone! I know I'm excited about this group; you've all been amazing to play with!

"Here," he pulls out ten gold coins,"Here is ten gold. If you give me the four gold to return to Roldare, I wont tell the guard, nor him. It will be a secret. It pains my mind for their to be people whom are in such wanting to steal. If you need help that badly, I can help."

I will take ten off his current gold, if you accept, and give it to you :). Thanks for the update GM.

GM burn? I've seen GM face before lol. But yea, the game has to be fun for everyone, even for the GM.

Shirzon eyes Artix suspiciously, glancing from her ill-gotten coin to his and back again. Is this some kind of trick? Another bluff? Could he be serious? After a notably uncomfortable silence passes, Shirzon snorts derisively and avoids meeting the half-elf's eyes. "Whatever. It's just a prank. Lighten up, Pavel. Keep your money. " Shirzon shoves the pilfered gold across the table. "We good? Or do you wanna buy me a drink?"

I certainly don't envy you having to make the selection! Good luck, friends. :)

Good luck to everyone! Had a blast with the recruitment thread, so already a good time has been had.

Having got rid of Shirzon successfully, Korech returns to conspiring with Kaya. He once more crouches down to be more or less at eye level with the tiny gnome while the pig and bear tussle playfully behind him.

"So. What plan? This mouse sound important."

"Thank you," Artix picks up the coins then slides over ten of his own, "There you go for drinking money. Please keep the change, now please continue on of your uncle."

"Thanks, mister!" Kaya says, dropping down onto all fours and stroking her chin in thought, her face contorting with the strain. She ponders in silence, nose twitching occasionally. "I've got it! You'll just have to order a wheel of cheese, and a keg of ale, and some honey-cakes. Ooh, and some ham! Their arms will be so full they won't see me slip past!"

Kaya beams at Korech, oblivious to any potential flaws with her plan, such as how the trapper is going to finance such a purchase.

Good luck to all! :)

Rylka grins. Apparently both Kaya and Korech missed her replace Shirzon. Now she's overhead the plan and can quietly follow the Gnome to see what she's up to.

I've had a great time. Best recruitment in a while. Good luck to everyone, including our esteemed GM. Thank you for a great recruitment.

I can only echo those sentiments. It's been fun. :)

Alright, first of all a big, big thank you to everyone who has participated in this recruitment. It has been an exciting experience, and thanks to your dedication you managed to create a fun and involving group, weaving together your stories and giving life to a memorable roleplay scene in the tavern. I’ve appreciated all the efforts each you have put into this recruitment, and I hope that regardless of the results this recruitment has proved interesting and fun for you too. I believe that the most positive aspect of a recruitment in which players are allowed to roleplay their characters lies in the fact that in this way even those who are not chosen to join the campaign have had the chance to roleplay their characters and enjoy the result of the efforts made to create them. I hope, indeed, that this recruitment has been entertaining for you for this reason precisely.

Your roleplaying has been very good and the atmosphere you managed to create was perfect. I’m very sorry for having to choose only 4 players, but that’s the nature of the beast I suppose.

First of all, I’m glad to announce the players (and related characters) I’ve chosen to join me in the “Price of Immortality” campaign arc.

  • Barvo DelancyKorech
  • IffCalden Tigg
  • MechapoetShirzon the Quarter
  • RoyciloMerephel Angorat

Grats to those who made the cut! My choice has not been easy at all, and until the last I’ve had many doubts on some choices, but in the end I believe that these are, overall (judging from the character’s and roleplaying quality), the best characters, regardless of roles.

Selected players are encouraged to report back in the Discussion Thread I’ve just opened.

I’m willing to share tips and feedbacks on your characters if you want, to allow you to further improve your characters for future campaigns. I’ll open another recruitment sooner or later, and I’d be glad to see each of you again when that will happen.

What could I have improved

Let's discuss it in private. Send me a PM.

Congratulations everybody! I'm planning on finding a home for Kaya in the PFS, so hopefully I'll have a chance to play with some of you in the future. I think this recruitment thread will be the model on which I build my own once I find the time to GM again. Everything was so incredibly polished.

Good luck with the game, folks!

Woo-hoo! Thanks GM Giuseppe for pickup Calden, I'm really excited to see how this group fares on our adventure(s). Also, commiserations for the others. I really enjoyed the roleplay with each of you, and wish you the best of luck in a next recruitment.

way to go... druids are a tough fit sometimes....

i'll shoot ya a pm.

I'm currently considering running an homebrew campaign set in Kassen for rist time players. I will keep you updated and PM in case that becomes a real thing!

Good luck to the chosen

Congratulations and good luck to the chosen. Please keep the rest of us in mind if you need any replacements.

Congratulations to the chosen players, and to everyone who wasn't chosen, I can only echo the GM's sentiment. It was a wonderful time playing with you all, and I don't envy him having made this choice. I hope to play with you all eventually. You guys are great!

Awesome, thanks for choosing me, and thanks to everyone for making the recruitment thread so fun. I hope I end up in a game with all of you sometime.

I enjoyed playing with all of you, and I hope you all had fun role-playing even if you didn't get selected. Good luck with your other recruitments!

Really enjoyed this opportunity to just play some rp-heavy, stats-not-so-important tavern mayhem!

I'm interested in the "First timer's Price of Immortality" arc, since you mentioned over in your Kingmaker Recruitment Thread with a link to this thread...so I'm posting here as well to show some even-handed interest.

Unfortunately, recruitment for this one has closed almost a month ago, but giving the amount of interest this topic has received, I may consider running another first timer's adventure for people out there willing to try to get into a PbP adventure (which is not easy most of times) in the future.

Fair enough, though I'm enjoying the Kingmaker roleplay, so hopefully that can happily continue for a bit :)
