Saul continues to scan for any thugs in the Chelish Citizen Group.
Do I see Logan stumbling after them? Your call. :D

Logan knocks another guy out. Which leaves the other two with the strong impression, that this was a bad idea. They decide to run instead of continuing to fight. Down the road and into a more public area again.

Foxy Quickpaw |

After an hour of walking around, Saul learns that the Chelish Citizen Group are rather low on the food chain. They are the big guys as long a no dottari are around. They are tolerated, but if a dottari patrol comes along, it's no big hello, but simply pass or take the other alley.
They end their day someplace in Old Kintargo where they split two and two. Following one pair, Saul finds where the first one lives and the other one moves a block further and then also disappears in a flat.

![]() |

Excellent. Two of the Chelish Citizen group, two homes. I better report back.
Saul goes back to Zea's apartment and waits for everyone to show up.
I hope Logan didn't go back to the Raven's nest. He specifically said to meet back here.

![]() |

After waiting in the hideout for a few hours, Logan begins to get restless. Where is everyone?
It's only then that he remembers they were supposed to meet back at Zea's. Now they're probably wondering what happened to me
Logan leaves the loot in the hideout, except for the medallion. He makes sure to take that with him.
Thankfully, it's still before curfew. He makes a quick stop to purchase a cloak, making sure the hood would obscure his face. Can't have those two thugs recognizing me
As he walks through the city, he passes the ally where he fought the thugs. The two he took out are still there, unconscious. He stops to admire his handiwork, when Fhingle turns the corner.
"I can hold my own in a fight. It helps that these glass jaws here had...glass..jaws. Anyway, two more ran away. That means they know what I look like and can tell others. Hence the cloak and hood.
Come on. It's getting late. We've got to make it to Zea's before curfew. Saul's probably waiting and getting worried."
The two make it back to Zea's apartment. Saul and Cassius are there already. Logan takes off his hood.
"I got one." He announces triumphantly and slaps the medallion on the table. He relates the tale of his encounter with the thugs, focusing a lot on the fight, especially the part where he took two of them out with as many punches.

Fhingle Nib |

"Well you will have to teach me some of your techniques sometime so I can defend myself better." Fhingle says then follow Logan to Zea's apartment.
"DO we need more than one pendant or do we think that will be enough for us to get in and cause some issues?"

![]() |

"Huh... Well, that wasn't exactly the plan, Logan... But it worked out in the end." He looks at Logan's face for signs of bruising, figuring that he is lying about the whole escapade, but is surprised to see Logan hale and healthy.
"We need a better plan than running in and killing everyone. We did not do so well at the Saltworks... running about like we were chickens with our heads cut off. You, Little Mac, keep going all crazy and spouting off some weird language whenever you get scared. If it happens again, keep your wits about you. Heal us if you can, damage them if you can't. If you see us advancing, or leaving, follow. Honestly you don't really need to understand what we are saying in battle. Just pay attention to our body language."

![]() |

"It'd be possible for one person to get in, wearing the pendant, and then open a back or side door for the others."

![]() |

"Don't sweat it, Little Mac. Just be ready for it. Don't panic, and continue to fight through it. We all know it is going to happen, so we don't need to be scared."
"Don't think so, Logan. This isn't the base of the Chelish Citizen Group. Remember, we are going to leave the amulet there so that it will cause trouble between the Red Jills and the Chelish thugs. Just like the Saltworks, maybe we head there after dark and scope the place out from the shadows before making a move."

![]() |

"Right. Sorry. Sometimes I get caught up and forget just whose skulls I'm supposed to be cracking.
What do we know about these Red Jills? Should we be prepared for anything out of the ordinary?"

![]() |

"Tiefling thugs, maybe rogues. And we shouldn't be surprised if some Asmodean clerics are hanging about. Don't let yourself get surrounded and let's try to take out any cleric as a top priority."
Unless there is more to discuss, I'm okay with foxy moving us to the proper location. Saul would intend to hide in the shadows a decent distance away and look for guards and points of entry.

Midnight! After everyone is drunk, if they are going to get drunk. Cassius-- can you disguise us first?

![]() |

"Can you... make me look like a bird? A black bird.... a jackdaw. Well, I mean, not really a bird. A human who is trying to be a bird.Maybe we don't have time to do it right. Maybe you just do what you can, and we'll fix it up more later."
Cassius... Saul is trusting you to make him his first superhero costume.

Fhingle Nib |

"I can pretend to be a slave, that is easier than trying to transform me." Fhingle says turning to Zea "Do you have any childrens clothing that I could have to ruin a bit and make me look more slavish? Someone will have to carry my weapons but I might be able to wear my armor underneath."

![]() |

"I'm not much for costumes and all that. Maybe a wash and a shave would work enough for me. But you're the costume guy, Cassuis. Any ideas?"

Cassius Sacero |

"Both good ideas, though I feel tonight we should use a one-off disguise. Don't want to get a reputation for diabolism so early on. So, hmmm." He takes out his disguise kit.
disguise Fhingle: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 13 + 2 = 30"Darken the hair, the eyes ...makes you look tired. Rip the clothes a bit, dirt, blacken some teeth."
disguise Logan: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 13 + 2 = 30"More beard, here, try this one. And switch shirts with me."
disguise Saul: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 13 + 2 = 31"Love the Jackdaw thing. I'm brainstorming on how to pull that off. Here, use this wig. And keep the amulet prominent."
disguise Cassius: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31And here is an old standby that has gotten me out of some tight spots." He slicks his hair back, adds a monocle, and affects a limp.

Fhingle Nib |

Fhingle is shocked and amazed all at once as Cassius goes to work, after his time helping Fhingle, the dress and attire make him feel a bit sad as it reminds him so much only a few weeks ago.
"Thank you for your work."

![]() |

Saul just gapes as Cassius does his thing. When done, he doesn't recognize any of them. "You said you were...good... at disguises, but you were selling yourself short. You are a genius!"

![]() |

Saul checks himself over again, and looks at the others. They are ready. It is well after midnight, and he knows the the patrols are out.
"Let's go. Quiet... only speak is whispers, and only if you have to. Let's make our way over to Temple Hill and camp out the exterior for an hour or so. Look for guards, and doors."
stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Ok, Foxy, stealthy mission 2 is a go. This time with 100% less Tengu and fairie dragons.

Foxy Quickpaw |

Sitting outside the former church of Aroden and the neighbouring former orphanage hiding in some bushes on temple hill you see - nothing. For it is dark. And no light shines in those two buildings. This might have to do with the fact that the members of the Red Jills are tieflings who can see in the dark. Or they are all asleep. The only thing you notice as the clouds give way for some moonlight, is a ladder, that acts as a passage between the roofs of the two buildings.
You see two Asmodean clerics patrol over the temple hill once, but they don't come past again in that hour.

![]() |

ouch- forgot about darkvision! something none of us have!
Saul whispers, "I see a ladder stretching between their base and the house next door. Maybe we should go into the house and pull down that ladder first. Because it might be an escape route."

![]() |

"It's definitely an escape route, but it might be one we can use to our own advantage. We could do our thing, take the ladder as our exit, and pull it down behind us."

![]() |

"That true... with these costumes, honestly I'm not much afraid of one or two escaping. Us getting trapped is a bigger concern. Good point, Turkey. Ahem."
"Logan, if you let slip one of our names again, we might have to leave you in there with the other bodies."

![]() |

"Remember Fhingle. Keep us alive, swing your weapon when you can, and if you stop understanding us, just refer back to number one and two."
"Now or never? Let's walk up to the front door."
Trusting in their disguises to hide their true intentions, Saul walks up to the front door. Of course, keeping an eye out for the Dottari.

Logan mutters something obscene under his breath as Saul brings up his mistake from last time.
Regardless, he cracks his knuckles and follows along.

![]() |

Saul whispers,"We aren't getting through this door. Let's go next door and go over that ladder. Maybe we'll run into him."
Saul moves, pulling his new mithril spear out as he does.

![]() |

Saul continues moving toward the house next door. He tries to open the front door.
Of course, no plan actually works. A plan is just something you throw out when you start and then have to improvise the rest of the time.
