It would, if you had the time. As Logan moved further than he could in one round, lets assume it's two rounds until you're all set, as the dwarf can't overtake you. Positions on map adjusted. Which half of the door is open?
Vendalfek casts a silent image into the corridor to give the impression the double door is closed.

Foxy Quickpaw |

The dwarf stops in front of the door and reaches for the handle with one hand, keeping the mace ready in the other. As he grabs into thin air he realizes that there is only an illusion.
Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Your turn. Depending on your will save you either see this situation, or only the hand of the dwarf coming through.

Waiting to go until Logan does, so I can also strike at the dwarf once he steps to the side. What DC do we need on this silent image? Can we still attack if we fail it?

Logan, though angry at the dwarf for injuring him, is actually thankful for their height difference. It makes it easier to punch him in the face.

Unarmed Stride damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Then he 5 foot steps out of the way so Saul also has a clear shot.

Most of the dottari see through the illusion and keep shooting with their bows. But no one wants to run into a spear. Only the one who can't see even though he knows the door is fake moves into his doom, ending up impaled and dead.
The others have a hard time hitting Saul, but one arrow finds it's way.

Treeps dagger hits the wall and bounces down the floor. The dance of Jay is not good enough, but as all dottari have their bow in hand, they can't hurt her. Together with Maggie she stabs at that one and takes him out of the fight.
Saul stabs at the dwarf adding to his serious wounds.
The dottari turn to the new assault from behind. The one next to Maggie draws his mace and swings it at her. But doesn't even touch her.
Mace: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
The other one gets up and steps out of the grease, shooting with the bow at Maggie.

Logan considers feeling the blood spittings dwarf's pulse but decides that lying on the floor with the eyes rolled up so you only can see the white is good enough for now.
Stepping over the dwarf swings his fist at one of the dottari. Those are more to his liking, as his fist strikes true and not only hurts his hand on hard iron armor.
Maggie, Jay and Treep decid eto not stand in the grease and throw their daggers. But they all miss. Korva opens the right door wing.

Fhingle Nib |

Fhingle moves up to Logan, motioning for him to move with Fhingle to saul, once they are all together Fhingle's body changes to that of a pure white light. Touching both men, their injuries begin to heal a bit.

"Now, we find this person we're supposed to rescue and get him and his crew out of here."
"Saul! Which room were those prisoners in? Let get them and get out of here."

![]() |

"Then they could be rescued by others and report back to the Thrune about us. I say we dump the bodies in the river and be done with it."

![]() |

Saul thanks Fhingle for the heal.
He pulls out another set of manacles, but after Logan says his name he sighs and frowns at his perpetually inebriated friend. He opens his mouth to say something, and sighs and frowns again.
F$+% f!#* f&$#, Logan.
"Maggie, could you and your sisters take the prisoners and row them back to base? It looks like the rest of us need to stay here just a bit longer."

![]() |

Logan is totally oblivious to the fact that he just gave away Saul's name.
"Are we going to become jailers now? What good to prisoners do us? Interrogate the ones you want, but let's not burden ourselves with extra responsibilities. Kill the ones still breathing and dump the bodies. Then we know we won't be discovered."

Fhingle Nib |

"Logan is mostly right, they would be out causing mischief if we didn't com,e here and they have probably killed innocents already. We came to free some people not to take prisoners. I would rather die than be a prisoner or slave again." Fhingle says

Saul manacles the remaining guards, gathers them all up, and pushes them into the salt vat.
It is only then that he turns angrily on Logan.
"What are you thinking, you drunk?!? There is a reason we are wearing these masks and these robes! We could have easily just locked the guards up in the salt mines and been on our way. They would have been found at some point, probably in the morning, and would have had no idea who we are. But you had to say my name! Do you know how many Sauls are in this city. Four! I should know, it is my business to know things like that. Now we have to kill them all. And it is going to make the Thrunes even more pissed than ever."
Saul sighs, growls, and sighs again. "This is your fault. Now it is your job. You go in there and take care of it."
Saul turns around and begins searching the dead dwarf and any dead guards. He will also look through the complex, in particular the bunk area for anything of value.

The threat over, Logan yells back to Saul,
"Yeah, I'll take care of it. And you'll thank me for it later when there's that many less dottari that can come for us and they WILL come for us. This is a zero-sum arrangement, it's kill or be killed. We won't be able to run this rebellion from the shadows forever. Eventually, they'll find out who we are. So yeah, I slipped and gave your identity away, but we'll all be discovered, probably sooner rather than later. The only difference is that, now, we only have a few to dispose of rather than an entire army."
Logan, who was actually sober through this entire day, grabs his hip flask and takes a long pull. He glowers at Saul's back as he wipes his arm on his sleeve. Then he pulls out his dagger and kills the two bound guards, adding their bodies to the pile in the salt vat.
Once Saul is done looking over the already dead guards and their dwarf commander, Logan helps the tengus dump those bodies too.

Maybe he's right. I thought I had the heart for this. But maybe I don't.
Saul goes back to searching the place for valuable. He wants to get out of here as quickly as possible.

The valueables the dottari had are put on a pile. And one might wonder about the wealth these guards can accrue.
6x(chain shirt, light steel shield, heavy mace, longbow
with 20 arrows, 11 gp)
The dwarf has even better equipment. As you would expect from the boss of the group.
potion of cure moderate wounds (2) (Spellcraft DC18), tanglefoot bags (2), mwk chainmail, heavy steel shield, composite longbow (+2 Str) with 20 arrows, mwk heavy mace, 28 gp
In addition to Kossrani’s personal wealth, a lockbox in the front office contains 67 gp and 423 sp.

"Alright. Let's get out of here. Thanks for waiting, Maggie."
Saul reclaims his manacles.
I intended for Maggie to take the prisoners and get out of here so they wouldn't have to see us slaughtering the guards, but then the guards attacked so... guess they never left
Saul pauses at the door and checks to make sure the coast is clear. Still hard to see in the dark.
