Darius grabs another oil from Grergof and tosses it in the hole at the trolls.
Spugnoir lights the troll barbecue. The trolls scream in pain as they start burning.
As much as I like your creative ideas - the rules are not in favour of them. The trolls would burn for 1d6 damage each round. DC 15 Reflex to put out. Increases by +2 for each bottle of oil for two rounds. That won't do anything to kill them. If you don't mind I'd reward the creativity by burning them to charcoal until the pit comes back up.

Sounds good
Darius holds his crossbow ready while the trolls burn.
The gates open on a broad chamber with a vaulted roof. Two large fires burn in the room, and spiral stairways climb up in each corner toward the ceiling. The gate on the far side of the room is barricaded with timber and furniture.
Grergof's glance over things reveals hunks of dubious meat that hang from meat hooks attached to an old staff among piles of timber. There are several sacks of plunder, including a pair of bellows, a shovel, a sledge, a battered tankard, several pretty (but valueless) stones, 208 gp, and 345 sp.
But that won't run away so you decide to go after the last troll who awaits you on top of the tower. He throws a rock down the stairs as he sees you coming.

Darius can't risk taking a shot with his crossbow so he puts it away and draws his sword instead.

"This is going to be fun." Darius says under his breath as suddenly his sword bursts into flams and he moves to help Grergof.
Casts Sun Metal, lasts for 6 rounds. Since it's a standard action I'll only be able to attack next round. But if possinle I'd like to gibe Grergof a flanking bonus but if it'll give the troll an AoO on me then I'll just move beside Grergof and we can wail on him together.
Sun Metal:
School transmutation [fire]; Level cleric 1, paladin 1, ranger 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range touch
Target one melee weapon
Duration 1 round/level (see text)
Saving Throw Fortitude negates (object); Spell Resistance yes (object)
The target weapon ignites into flame that does not hurt the weapon or the wielder, but damages those hit by the weapon. When the weapon's wielder hits with this weapon, it deals an additional 1d4 points of fire damage. This damage is not multiplied in the case of a critical hit. This effect immediately ends if the weapon is submerged in water. This effect does not stack with the flaming or flaming burst weapon special ability or any other effect that grants the weapon extra fire damage. It does not function on weapons with the frost or icy burst weapon special ability or any other effect that grants a weapon extra cold damage.

With both hands, Darius does an overhanded chop at the troll with his flaming sword.

Grergof hits the troll a last time before he falls over and then one more to make it last. Spugnoir sets it on fire to burn to ashes.
Now that the fight is over you can enjoy the view over the way you came here. But as you're on one of the the front towers you don't get a good view on the bridge behind the gate house and the waterfalls.

"Trolls. Nasty things." Darius says as the fire on his sword slowly begins to fade.
Grergof checks all four towers to ensure there are no more trolls.
Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Assuming he does not find anything that requires immediate attention: coming down he says:
I don't know, the door deeper in is baracaded. I wonder if they were I depends t of the rest of the group and just squating here...
As Grergof moves from tower to tower he also gains a view over the rest of the Schloss. A broad stone terrace - that has no rails at its edge - is on the other side of the barricaded door. To the north, a stone bridge arches above a waterfall that drops into the river two hundred feet below. It ends at a small cobbled terrace with a curious looking iron door depicting a scowling sun being devoured by ravenous clouds.
On the terrace on the side of the gate house sits a nervously looking troll with a troll hound. On the bridge stands a golem hound keeping watch.
On the last tower you find three goblins who obviously tried to hide here. They stare at you with wide eyes like in shock.
Perception DC 15:
One of the goblin wears an amulet that depicts a gagged skull
Very loudly Grergof says in common so the others can hear:
Hello there! You know what we just did to the trolls little goblins.
The same thing does not have to happen to you.
Tell us what we want to know and I think I can convince my companions blocking the stairs downstairs and behind me to go easy on you.
He says all this with his flail clearly ready to strike if they try to run past him but not taking any further aggressive actions.

Stam will inspect the trolls then move after Grergof so that he is not alone.
"I have taken no wounds yet, Spugnoir but I can imagine in time if there are more and more trolls we will all be bleeding."
When with Brother Grergof.
"Interesting that these goblins are here, must be being used as a labour force? Do any of you speak common? I guess I should learn goblin just in case."
Grergof starts with a few questions waiting for the answers befor going on to the next:
Why are you and the Trolls here?
What do you know about the rest of this complex?
Tell me about that gagged skull you wear.
