ok just didn't want to make an assumption in case you had a plan ;)

Ive only got a short time til they turn the hour glass again then I can leave. I want to swing by my quarters and get the my pack and supplies...in case. With things as they are, Don't know what we may be called upon to do

"Fair enough. I'll go wait back outside with Crain, in case he gets antsy. Eleazar, whatever you'd like--if you want to wait here or come with me, we'll wait for you."

Callie smiles and departs, returning to the desk and asks for her weapons to be returned.

"What's the story in there, girl? Our fella okay? Things are about the same out here. Lots of milling around, but nothing too awful crazy right now."

Human Bard - Arcane Duelist 9 [ HP: 41/57 AC:22(21) T:14(13) FF:19 | CMD 22 | Fort +7, Ref +11(10), Will +8 | Init +4 Perc: +8 | 1st/day 7/7, 2nd/day 5/5 3rd/day 2/4; Perf rds 21/25 | Disruptive I message, see invisible 90 minutes, haste 8 rounds (from 9)

Callie nods, with a smile of relief. "He got here early and missed the excitement. His shift's almost done, so we'll wait for him before we go to market. Mind, I don't know what it'll be like there today, but we may as well try.

"You should go in there sometime, though, if you haven't. It's rather all beautifully built. Although maybe I should assume you're not a man for aesthetics, but still."

Your walk to the market in the Midlands is more of the same that you've already seen. Civil unrest abounds and the Korvosan Guard is doing everything it can to keep a lid on it all.
When you finally arrive at the market, it's packed so tight with people that it becomes very difficult to move about. Merchants appear flustered as they try to quickly accommodate all of their shouting and shoving customers. It's very, very loud.

Suggesting to the others they move off to one side while they assess the situation and get out of the way of the throng, Callie eyes the crowd to see which merchants seem to be most overrun. Most specifically she is concerned there is a run on weapons--or food, for similar reasons--in anticipation of a rebellion, but seeing generally what is going on is her aim as well.

Eleazar is silent as he takes in everything that has occured since last night and this morning. He decides to wait inside the bank of Abadar with Timeras until the priest finishes his time and then joins the rest on the journey to the market.

"Keep watch of your belongings. With this many people crowded in, pick pockets are like to be in full force amongst the crowd." Eleazar offers a subtle warning to his friends as he begins trying to navigate his way through the market.

Crain follows the others through the rush of humanity. He nods at El's suggestion. "Yes, keep well aware of thieves. This place will be crawling with them today. Callie, you especially be aware and keep that thing safe," he adds, not chancing even to say the word broach in the mob of people.

Callie smiles, almost in fact smirking. She responds quietly, "I... am quite familiar with the ways of cutpurses. Trust that I've borne such things in mind. Just don't draw attention to me so anyone might think I'm worth marking."

She does indeed remain on the alert, but she's used to guarding herself in crowds without looking like it.

Male Half Elf 7th Sorcerer {Destined Bloodline} [ HP: 52/52 AC: 17 T: 15 FF: 13 | Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +5| Init +3 Perc:+4]

Timerus strides along side his allies. Do not worry friends. The Church still holds some degree of respect among the people. Abadar's Healing and Guidance are still needed by most Only the worst would dare assault us

His booted feet clicking with each step on the cobblestone road. He looks left and right as he walks. Did anything happen, besides the girl running off and the city going crazy?

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Eleazar keeps silent about the sick and likely crazy preacher who grabbed at him on the streets. He did not want to give any credence to the words the lunatic had spoken.

Crain also kept quiet about the roving band of thugs he had seen outside the home they stayed the previous night, "No reason to trouble anyone with that scene,"he thought to himself.

"It's a crazy time, Tim, no doubt about that," he responds, not really answering the question that had been asked.

Callie, you do notice a that many of the merchants turning away customers are food merchants: butchers, dairy farmers, and bakers. The rush for weapons appears to be less frantic that you feared.

"Looks like people are hoarding food." Callie notes, pointing out people clamoring at the largely empty bakers' stall. "The good news is people don't seem to be unusually stocking up on weapons or anything. The bad news is probably some of these people will turn around and try to sell what they've gotten on the black market for twice the price."

She sighs. "Something we'll have to bear in mind too, if they keep running on supplies like this. I might have some food in my room at the boarding house, and Zellara had some but only for so long. Tim'll be alright with the temple, I assume, I don't know about the rest of you.

[b]"Still, most of the goods we want to sell aren't at food vendors, so we should be able to make it if we want. Shall we?"

Half Elf (Destined Bloodline) Bloodrager 10; AC (33)24/16/23; HP 115/115 (145/145); F+15, R+10, W+9 (+2 vs. enchantments) Init +1; Percpn +18; Evasion; Lowlight Vision; Improved Uncanny Dodge; DR 2/-, Rage 25 rounds; 3 (1st), 2 (2nd), 1 (3rd)

"Sounds good to me. But, if vittles are running low, it might be worth a while to take a bit of our coin and buy some, even at the inflated prices. I get grumpy when I get hungry, you know," he says with a grin.

Male Half Elf 7th Sorcerer {Destined Bloodline} [ HP: 52/52 AC: 17 T: 15 FF: 13 | Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +5| Init +3 Perc:+4]

hearing Callie's words about noticing that the food sellers are closing shop as run out he remarks This is a bad sign Callie. I would rather arms were selling out, for that is a defensive measure. Nothing will drive the people to anarchy sooner than not being able to provide for their families. When a child looks at you in want, people will do anything. We probably should make sure Zellara's larders are well stocked for the upcoming storm. Let us part with our gains and use that as working capital.

"Sounds like a plan. Sales first, then buying. If you need a distraction to help clear a path, let me know. I could always try to start a bit of a performance, although this isn't the type of crowd I usually try to appeal to."

Ready to do the sales; the list of what we're selling is in my profile. I am willing to handwave the actual process although of course if anything happens we should know. After the sales, an attempt to buy food. Callie would also try to use her knowledge of the city to consider a vendor that might not be so swamped or have adequate supplies:

Knowledge: Local 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

The Sun is touching the horizon by the time your affairs are seen to. Some of the more frivolous finds from Lamm's lair took a little more work to offload, but eventually everything found a buyer. The food was somewhat trickier. With throngs of nervous Korvosans about, it was quite difficult to snap up what food is left. Ultimately, you do succeed though.

I don't know how much food you were after, but by the end of the day you've found it.

At one point in the shopping trip, Callie feels a soft tug at her waist. A more naive soul might have dismissed it, but Callie recognizes it and, quick as a flash, her hand catches the wrist of a pre-teen girl dressed simply. The girl looks up into Callie's eyes in astonishment and then begins thrashing to get her arm free.

Timerus, you are approached frequently by merchants desiring news on the state of things and by dirty young mothers and crippled men asking for the blessings of Abadar.

Eleazar, your inquisitive mind is bombarded by distractions as the diverse vendors and entertainers work to entice you to their nooks. You see a rat-faced man hawking trinkets guaranteed to keep devils at bay, a blind old man selling imps in cages, a number of Harrow card readers, and, most fascinating of all, a gnome dressed in an absurdly garish costume selling what you recognize to be genuine magic items.

Crain, most people are giving you a wide berth. You see a number of people's eyes take in your tell-tale elven ears and then look away very quickly or sneer at you in disdain. At one point, a very large, thuggish half-orc walks straight into you, chest to chest, nearly causing you to stumble. "Outta the way for Master Winterdown, elf!"

I've given you each some things you could RP out in the market or you can just take them for what they are and be done here.

Male Half Elf 7th Sorcerer {Destined Bloodline} [ HP: 52/52 AC: 17 T: 15 FF: 13 | Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +5| Init +3 Perc:+4]

Just backdrop unless you have something planned, though I will post a general response.

Tim tries hard to give blessings and prayers to each who come up and reassure them that the church is here for them. By the end of the day he wore out and horse from prayers.

With a very tired look to his eyes and demeanor the priest says to the others in a voice that rasps like a file on wood You want to try and take the brooch back today before sunset? I do not like the idea of holding it any longer than needed.

as far as how much food, Id say dry goods and salted meat ...iron ration type food...for a couple weeks for 5

Callie side-eyes the young girl, as she looks around to be sure the little cutpurse doesn't have a partner. Assured the girl's working alone, she says in a normal speaking voice, "Calm down now, lass," and then adds sotto voce to the girl, "And I won't cry beef if you just listen a minute."

"Who runs your flash-ken?" She asks if the girl stays put a moment, asking her in slang to know who is head of whatever thieving gang she works for. She wants to know who else might try to herd in the Lambs now that they've killed Gaedren. "I'll pay you for the info, and you can take home some honest coin."

Take your pick:
Diplomacy 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Intimidate 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

"What's your problem, Orc? I'd suggest you and your Master walk elsewhere. Plenty of room for all of us," he says, not flinching an inch from the half Orc, staying in uncomfortably close proximity to him.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Eleazar seems highly intrigued by the flamboyantly dressed gnome and after passing the shop once he eventually circles around back, with a look of bored detachment on his face, or at least what he thinks is such a look. This done after he carefully imbued his sight to attune to the signiture energies of magic.

"You have some interesting wares. Would you mind if I looked through them? Do you have any specific sale items?"
