Hedrak looks for opportunities to check the local crafts, if any are available.
Elves work in wood crafts, metal crafts, leather crafts, and pottery. Examples of wood crafts include bows, staves, and other items made of wood. Elven leather crafts include various jerkins and studded leather items with an elven flair. Metalwork include the famous elven chain maille, which is lighter than human chain maille. Finally, there is the elven pottery, which include a variety of designs.

I have Craft (Bows) - could I perhaps use that instead? If yes:
[dice=Craft (Bows) Take 10]10+6
If not, the Appraise will be a 12 (this is Untrained though, so not sure it can even go above 10).
Craft (bows) is enough to appreciate elven craftsmanship, especially if it's fine. Of the bunch, you find one or two bows to be of curious workmanship.

Hedrak's eyes go wide - "That is very gentle of you" - and even though that is almost all the coin he owns, he is more than happy to pay for the bows.
They are masterwork bows, offering a +1 non-magical bonus to your attacks. You can, of course, have them enchanted later.

:O Thanks!

As the rest of the group branches out, Van also takes the time to look for a kindred spirit, he seeks an Elven Mage who may be willing trade spells with him for the short period of time he remains here. If time allows he will also seek out their opinion on casting in combat as his first time he certainly had a close call!

Make a perception check, Van.
The halfling is especially interested in talking to elven cooks, bakers and healers.
Rickton, make a perception check to spot a bakery.

EltonJ |

Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
You find a bakery specializing in Elven foodstuffs.
Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6. I see nothing!
Van, you were distracted by a certain piece of jewelry at a jewelry shop. The piece, a necklace, is made of white gold.

Van Vynolis wrote:Van eyes the jewelry and inquires about the price, after all, when is the next time he will be in an elven village?"I can part with it for ten gold," an elf says in Common.
Van nods, and reaches into his money pouch for a platinum piece, "Thank you, the craftsmanship is excellent. Hopefully it shall bring me good fortune".

OCC: Okay I recovered from moving my computer and getting reset up and the most difficult part getting full access once more to the internet. So GM is their my character hooks up with the adventurers and yes then how?
You can meet up with them while Lirillith is investigating the Blacksmith. You could be there too.

EltonJ |

Lilrllith finds asks where the village backsmith is, going there she looks at the wears
The blacksmith is on the ground, next to a tree. He works on simple stuff, he knows a little bit on how to craft weapons. The weapons he made are on for show. He specializes in making longswords, and they look to be of fine quality. He also knows how to make arrows.

The halfling will take a look at what the baker has.
The elf baker bakes bread, cinnamon rolls, croissants, cream puffs, eclairs (only without the chocolate), small cakes for Brewfest, and a variety of rolls.
"Anything you want, halfling?" the relatively young elf asks.

EltonJ |

Rickton introduced himself. I am Rickton. Rickton Huckleberry. he says as he offers his small hand to shake the elf's. I am a worshipper of Yondalla and I am really interested in some of your baked goods. Which would your recommend? They all look divine.
"Try a croissant," said the elf. "My name is Terry."

Van Vynolis |

Van clasps the necklace and continues his tour of the elven town now convinced there are either no magic users here or they have decided to all turn invisible to him at once! Just his luck.

That would cost 25 copper pieces. Wetstoning the sword, I mean. a new batch of arrows would cost 1 silver piece.

You couldn't spot one. You have the option of taking ten on your perception for a second search.

EltonJ in case you missed this and the reply to it here it is again...
OCC: ?? So why would I have any interaction with these strangers ?? I believe I asked earlier as well as attempted to create some kind of connection but far as I recall nothing happened nor was a connection outlined.
Good question :D

Hedrak was right, though. It's up to you and another player to make connections. If Hedrak or Lirillith is willing, perhaps you can talk to them. Oh, and also Rickton Huckleberry is a good person for you to make a connection with. You can reach out to those three players for making a connection with them.

EltonJ |

Nice to meet you, Terry! the halfling says. Those pastries do look good, how much for a croissant? Does it have cream cheese and fruit preserves?
"Yes, they do," says Terry. "Which would you like? Raspberry or currant?"
Terry from Dragon Prince?
Maybe.

EltonJ |

She compliments him on the sword, eyeing it with respect for his craft.
Then she heads to the leather worker to look at those wares
Taking 10 for 16
You find a few leather braids, three leather jerkins, and one studded leather armor outfit.
